Time for a new thread!!

Mellow, congratulations!

Dusty, ds2 would look so cool with a Beatles haircut

Pc, sorry you've all been ill, glad you're on the mend. Can't believe ds will be 2

Vbus, well done on getting dh into the spare room, dh refuses to move from our bed when he's ill!! Hope he's all better for your holiday, where are you going?

We're also ready for a holiday, am waiting for The Sun cheapie deals to start up again!

Aww NCT can't you change the date to 10 July, so I can come?

Tilly well done to mini Tilly

Vbus - where are you moving to again?

SFX DD wants those shoes too, for her birthday!!! She is the prefect child, wanting expensive shoes for her birthday, rather than just wanting expensive shoes full stop!

Looking forward to coming over and hope I can catch up with at least some of you. The Fat Toddler is a little boy now

dustythedolphin · 11/06/2010 23:44

Copper your hols sounds perfect

PC fingers crossed, don;t give up yet. We lost our buyer once, mid-purchase of another house, it was sooo stressful, but mostly they go through in the end, after a few bumps

UptoapointLordCopper · 12/06/2010 16:57

Hello!

Had friends and family to lunch. Baked choc cake. Pretty yummy! Hope everyone is having a nice day!

sfxmum · 12/06/2010 17:08

hello all

lordcopper I need an excuse to bake that cake

am totally exhausted, after this mornings school fair, nice to see KewC and family,
missed on my coveted prize at raffle, it went to the number before the one I had

all very tiring and exciting too
dh cooking pizza I need sleep

UptoapointLordCopper · 12/06/2010 17:26

sfx - cake is highly recommended. I'm getting rid of most of it by packing them for parents and relatives to eat on the Eurostar tomorrow. What I really want to try is this naan bread.

sfxmum · 12/06/2010 17:40

you are making me hungry stop it at once

I am such a nibbler all this revising makes me nibble too much really need to up the training and cut on the eating once exam is over and done with jeans feeling tighter already

UptoapointLordCopper · 14/06/2010 12:01

Hello all! Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

vbus · 14/06/2010 15:08

Hello all

Sfx - good luck for exam and don't stress about journey, listen to some relaxing music on way there and back.

PCW - what did you decide? Rental not a bad idea if you're dead set on moving there anwyay

Busy moving stuff to new house, all going well but so much to do
Dolphin - just moving to end of the road!

Hope everyone well and enjoying the footy. DS1 said he's supporting Italy

UptoapointLordCopper · 14/06/2010 16:14

It's pouring over here and DSs are out in the garden . But DS2 is complaining about wet shorts.

sfxmum · 14/06/2010 16:46

vbus after that performance no wonder he wants nothing to to with England
hope rest of move goes well

pcW how are things now? am usually in favour of renting when moving to new area but expect you crave some stability

lordcopper we barely made it home before the rain started

dd seems to be going through some sort of growth spurt, eating loads (for her) and seems to need extra sleep

re world cup, dd'd class is supporting Portugal (each class has a team), the poor sods they are bound to loose, first game against Ivory Coast tomorrow, we are well and truly doomed, and all before Brasil

UptoapointLordCopper · 14/06/2010 18:33

sfx - we've also discovered just how leaky the kids' raincoats are! Next year we'll invest in better ones.

vbus · 14/06/2010 19:40

Copper - i always buy waterproofs from this site

Sfx - LOL. Forgot to mention that I gave DS1 a world cup guide so he could see all the countries playing, flags etc. It also has all the fixtures. He was reading it today and he said that he wanted to watch 'England v United States of America' but instead he read it as 'England v Utah Saints' I had to suppress a giggle

tillyfernackerpants · 14/06/2010 20:03

vbus, at England v Utah Saints!! Ds1 said he's supporting Brentford, they've obviously come on a bit

Morning all! 1-0, yaaay!!! (sorry if you support Cameroon)

sfx/KC - thanks for your recommendation re plumber. DH called them yesterday and they were there at 11.30 am and the problem nearly sorted.

DS had MMR booster and pre-school booster last week. We got him a couple of second hand school jumpers at the school fayre. He seems ready for school (still do not know when he starts full time, tho).

Anyone heading for the fete at Kew Green this Sat?

UptoapointLordCopper · 15/06/2010 07:39

Morning!

Sushi - we saw the last 10 minutes of the match. DSs were disappointed at no red cards being issued. I don't think they quite get the point of the game just yet.

sfxmum · 15/06/2010 17:01

hello all

lordcopper dd is also obsessed with the yellow/ red cards I expect is a real life 'warnings' book

sushi we might pop to Kew on Saturday

dd's class were on full on CSI mode today, they are doing the 3 little pigs and today, when they arrived there was a crime scene to investigate, the straw house was knocked down, no one knew who did it, jobs were allocated to collect clues/ evidence (saw paw prints, evidence bags etc) interview possible witnesses (tape recorder) and receive tips at the police station
dd thinks the wolf did it

Portugal did not disgrace themselves but did not do well either

vbus · 15/06/2010 19:09

Hello all

DH told DS1 that the red/yellow cards were the equivalent of going on the naughty step

Hi Sushi - not going to Kew, need to do big (dreaded) ikea shop at wkend

Sfx - lol at DD, not much gets past her!

Tilly - didn't know Brentford even had a team

Still ploughing on with packing, I'm getting there but it's so exhausting with 2 little ones on the scene. My mum goes back tom so not sure how much I'll get done after she leaves, but only 1.5wks to go til we're in the new house, yay

UptoapointLordCopper · 17/06/2010 20:14

Hello!

Parents left. House is suddenly empty...

DS2 woke up a few times last night complaining aobut something to do with the label of his shirt. I'm so tired now.

sfx - how did it go?

sfxmum · 17/06/2010 20:46

ah finally able to log in to MN, dh installed some upgrades on my laptop dd to me, mummy daddy had been messing around on your computer I told him not to do it quite right too

exam went well I think thanks for asking, I felt reasonably well prepared, but writing for 3 solid hrs made my hand, shoulder and head hurt, results out in August. Caught up with fellow students for coffee afterwards some of us will be in the same course come February

and now collapse with mindless telly and glass of wine, followed by escapist book tomorrow

sfxmum · 17/06/2010 20:50

am I being unreasonable regarding wanting to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando? probably unreasonable and sad too

mellow2 · 18/06/2010 20:13

sfx - glad exam went well. Didn't know you were big potter fan! Another one here.

Hi everyone else.

House nearly done and life, hopefully, will become more normal soon.

UptoapointLordCopper · 19/06/2010 12:08

Hello!

Bloody kids up at 5.50 this morning. What's wrong with them!?

Quite like Harry Potter books, but not sure I want to go to universal studios ... Films def not as good as books. Saw pictures of girl who plays Hermoine. Hasn't she grown pretty!
