Hi all, can't believe I have to start the new thread

Slng, lol @ ds2!

Sfx, sparkle sounds nice!

I'm having to bribe ds1 to leave the house atm, that can't be right surely

He had his nativity yesterday, all lines remembered though there was a bit of yawning during it

slng · 23/12/2009 17:30

Happy christmas everyone!

Came home with new hair cut, one jumper and two skirts, all in various shades of grey.

vbus · 23/12/2009 17:57

Hello

Happy christmas to all

Looking forward to a relaxing holiday after the past few mths of chaos. DH only has 2 days off but it will be nice to chill out.

Hello all

Sfx- glad you had a good visit depsite bad journey

Slng - wow, can't wait to see finished house, looks great so far

Sushi - enjoy both your trips

Eastend - how are you feeling?

Xmas was day was lovely here, had my bro and parents over for the day, plenty of feasting and present frenzy for DC, everyone enjoyed it

Been to Kew today, gardens were open this time and not so busy, nice!

Hope everyone well

dustythedolphin · 26/12/2009 18:42

Kew sounds lovely - glad you had a nice day vbus and sfx

pcworld · 26/12/2009 18:45

Wow, Sing - dead impressed re: the house, it's fabulous and you are v talented! Hope everyone has had a fab time. We've had a brilliant time, went to a posh hotel in the West End yesterday with my parents and managed a quick morning port at a local pub, too - and had all ds's family round today. Has been total chaos, far too much food and quite frankly an obscene amount of toys! Am hoping we can get out somewhere for a decent walk tomorrow, could do with some fresh air and an air of calm too!

dustythedolphin · 26/12/2009 18:46

We had Chrissie at my sisters as usual, and boxing day spent stocking up on Argos (sale) and Primark (warm clothes) gear for our big trip

have carpet men coming back tomoz and ready to get elbow deep into packing but am quite fluey

All our social engagements have finished now and we just have mega packing ahead (wipes brow) - we have new year's evening party and my aim is to be packed and ready to go so we can actually attend

Hic!

dustythedolphin · 26/12/2009 18:48

PC sounds lovely -

SFX talking of walks I may not get time to run with you, why don't you pop to Ireland and we can run on beach

dustythedolphin · 26/12/2009 18:48

Hic

slng · 26/12/2009 18:58

Hello all!

Will put up pics of finished house soon. It was great fun - DH and I did the lot and didn't ask the kids to "help" because it was such fun ... Can you tell just how sad we are?

We are buried under toys and the kids are bouncing off the walls.

Dusty - good luck with packing and move. Can't believe you are actually going ...

Hope everyone is well!

vbus · 26/12/2009 19:16

Slng - not sad at all, I love doing that sort of stuff (Ok maybe I'm sad too [frgin])

PCw - sounds lovely, bit too much port over here too

Dusty - glad you had good time, hope packing goes well, good motivation having the party to look forward to!

slng · 26/12/2009 19:23

Mmmm ... port ....

sfxmum · 26/12/2009 19:32

pcW sounds lovely

vbus Kew walk is what we need after far too much food and wine

dusty deffo visit sometime next year, we were planning to go to Ireland anyway

slng such things are much better done with children out of the way I find

wave to eastend hope you are well

might finally run tomorrow it has been nearly a week

drinking Vatican wine from the Pope's French vineyard strong tasty stuff - and it explains a lot

sfxmum · 26/12/2009 19:35

missed on the Port this year MIL made a panetone bread and butter pudding where she soaked the sultanas in Madeira wine then added it to the custardy bi, it was quite yummy and ever so boozy tasting

sushi&KV hope you have good journeys

vbus · 26/12/2009 20:36

Ducks were skating on ice at Kew today and lake was very much frozen at Bushy (managed a sneaky romantic walk on xmas day while guests looked after kids!)

Sfx - pudding sounds yum

dustythedolphin · 27/12/2009 08:38

aww ducks skating sounds nice, hope they enjoy it

That reminds me, the track to my sister's house was completely frozen on Chrissy Day, its steep uphill so we had to abandon car and climb up, clinging to hedhes, as it was so slippery, DH couldn't even drive car up it

SFX boozy pub sounds perfect for a winter's day

sfxmum · 27/12/2009 16:51

Ikea or Kew? think dh will need to be super bribed to go for first option maybe there is a creche for husbands too

slng · 27/12/2009 17:37

I think there is a sale on in Ikea, so you'd have to be quite determined to go there!

Not much happening here. Having fun assembling meccano stuff.

sfxmum · 27/12/2009 18:03

good point don't really fancy crowds
