Hi

Was wondering if any one else would like to get together one day and have a chat?

The more the merrier, everyone is always saying what is there for children to do, personally i hate going to soft play, swimming etc on my own. Think it may be an idea?

any one else with a suggestion?

x

Pacific!

Hopefully we will be the only group of harassed mums hanging round the info desk!

(well, apart from Weegiemum who will be serenely calm having hived her lot off to their grans!!!)

giraffescantdancethetango · 05/07/2009 21:19

I'll be the one with the arm splint on and no weans.

geordieminx · 05/07/2009 21:27

2 mums - 2 girls and a boy all 2... that look like triplets - all looking harrassed!

prettybird · 06/07/2009 09:32

I am going to try to come along: it depends on ds who is being grumpy at the moment

wiggletastic · 06/07/2009 09:53

Hope you can come Prettybird, it would be lovely to see you and your DS (even if he is a bit grumpy )

weegiemum · 06/07/2009 09:53

The easiest one to spot is RedHairedGirlie as her name is fabulously descriptive (I used to LONG for hair like hers when I was a child! I wanted to be Anne of Green Gables actually!)

Last meet up it was the 3rd lot of people I asked if they were the MN people before I got the right ones.

Will look out for the splinted arm!

See you later!

weegiemum · 06/07/2009 09:54

Prettybird I will bring my diary and we can arrange a date to play football in your garden! My ds is excited about that but away for the next 2 weeks (week with Grandparents then a weeks family holiday up north)

prettybird · 06/07/2009 10:28

That would be good weegiemum

geordieminx · 06/07/2009 17:24

Lovely to meet you all today.

Giraffe - just had a sneeky peek at your profile, it is so beautiful. Has really touched my heart. Say Hi to Tallulah next time you see her.

Weegiemum - thanks so much for entertaining Ds, he must have said your name 50 times in the car on the way home!

weegiemum · 06/07/2009 17:47

I also had a lovely time - it was good to get out and meet people.

I thought I would drop this in - I'm actually in the throes of a pretty major period of depression, and getting out of the house for something like this is a huge effort for me -- but SO worth it - I feel happy and like I have achieved something.

Thanks to wiggle especially for the lifts and hope you get your shopping done!

Hi Geordie's Ds! You have fabulous hair!

Lets do it again soon - sometime after Tues 21st is good for me for a couple of weeks. I will prove I have children!

PacificDogwood · 06/07/2009 18:19

Yes, here too, a good time was had. Sorry we were so so late. Am a bit at having waited at the wrong entrance (one does not do walking: one parks at the back and one waits at the back..).
I am very glad we found you after our unsuccessful sword fish search. DS2 was so insistent that there was one until he realised he had seen it in a different museum in a different coutry .
Thank goodness for RedHairedGirlies hair, I am v glad it helped me find you - and it is gorgeous!
Til the next time..

RedHairedGirlie · 06/07/2009 21:41

Nice to see everyone again today and put more faces to names ..and thanks for the compliments about the hair ... you should see it when its been brushed... kind of like one of those 70's lamps with the fibre optic things.. very scary!!!!

Giraffe, hope you get your wrist sorted soon..

Loook forwrd to catching up again soon, lets hope we get some sunny weather and can make it a picnic next time

RedHairedGirlie · 06/07/2009 21:49

PS Weegiemum, good on ya for getting out and about... I hope you are feeling much better soon.. am sure we will have lots more lovely meetups over the summer and you still need to get a wee cuddle from DD

giraffescantdancethetango · 06/07/2009 22:46

Hello ladies Was so nice to get out the house today!! Somehow when I popped in to Morrisons on the way home then a DVD fell in to my basket And well after that it seemed rude to put it back so I purchased it and am watching it now

Thanks Geordie Will tell Tallulah, might see her next week hopefully.

weegiemum · 07/07/2009 17:08

Giraffes - hope you enjoyed your DVD! If you need to get out of the house and fancy playing with some fun slightly older kids, then feel free to come round here! My 5yo dd2 needs lots of sitting down activities cos of her hip problem and I'm struggling - so any ideas welcome!

wiggletastic · 07/07/2009 20:07

Good to see you all yesterday. DD loved all the attention and I enjoyed the chat. Oh, and the cake and coffe of course (thanks Weegiemum).

geordieminx · 08/07/2009 12:38

Ok ladies - was wondering whether anyone would be so kind as to sponsor my friend who is doing decathlon, all proceeds to CHAS - childrens hospice. link

sadie191 · 15/07/2009 17:36

Hi guys,

I feel I just sort of stumbled on this site!

I'm nearly 29 weeks pregnant and was wondering how I can go about meeting other mums? It is only now I've stoped running about finishing my nursing degree that its dawned on me how soon it'll be till the baby comes along!

I've gone from not having a sec free to filling my days wondering what I can eat next. I've text my boyfriend 4 times today to make sure he remebers to bring home chicken sandwiches, I clearly need something more adventurous to fill my days with.

geordieminx · 15/07/2009 20:21

Hi Sadie - whereabouts are you?
