Hi

Was wondering if any one else would like to get together one day and have a chat?

The more the merrier, everyone is always saying what is there for children to do, personally i hate going to soft play, swimming etc on my own. Think it may be an idea?

any one else with a suggestion?

x

I'm up for another meetup too, since I missed the last one! Mondays and Fridays (and obviously weekends) are my good days, I work Tue-Thurs. Any ideas?

RedHairedGirlie · 19/07/2009 19:04

a bit short notice but does anyone fancy meeting tomorrow for a coffee or a walk (assming its not raining all day!)

GiraffesCanRunA10k · 19/07/2009 19:26

I could do morning, have a shift at 2.45 in town so as long as I could get in to town by then.

RedHairedGirlie · 19/07/2009 21:08

Hi Giraffe, mornings ok with me - how does 11:30 sound? where would be best to meet - maybe glasgow green - I think there is a place to get a coffee? will send you my mob number..

GiraffesCanRunA10k · 19/07/2009 21:20

Glasgow green is good. [email protected] email me your number because CAT sometimes takes a while to come through

RedHairedGirlie · 19/07/2009 21:32

GiraffesCanRunA10k · 19/07/2009 21:49

geordieminx · 20/07/2009 07:18

GiraffesCanRunA10k · 20/07/2009 10:06

RedHairedGirlie · 20/07/2009 16:37

Thanks for the company Giraffes, hope you had an Ok afternoon in work.. I managed to get my cash back from Tesco's for the slimey veg :-)

geordieminx · 20/07/2009 16:41

Hey ladies - sorry I didnt make it - I got side tracked tidying up, then ds was ready for a nap.

On the subject of slimey veg - I bought strawberries on Thursday and they were minging by Saturday... ggggrrrr

PacificDogwood · 20/07/2009 17:01

Just caught up with this thread again, just wanted to say would like to come to future meet-ups (as I enjoyed the last one) but couldn't have come today even if I had known about it - it's my mothers birthday and would have been a bit rude to bu**er off .
Also DS3 not well, what hell - for him no doubt, but also for poor old me...
Hope to see you soon.

Nyx · 20/07/2009 17:09

Oops, missed this one! And it was on a Monday too, d'oh. I hope you had a nice walk. Wish I had come with you; at that time I was in John Lewis with DD and not finding what I was looking for. Oh well! Maybe next time

sammac · 20/07/2009 17:16

Oo can I join in too pretty please? Am very old mumsnetter who's been very quiet of late, for a variety of reasons. Have met prettybird and ds a few times (hi!!)in a variety of places, but not for ages.

I'll watch this space with interest

geordieminx · 20/07/2009 17:53

Anyone free at any other time this week?

Peoples palace again, as I took ds on Saturday - the fair is there... but I didnt have a penny in cash ((((bad mummmy)))) so I promised him we'd go back.

PacificDogwood · 20/07/2009 19:01

Is the fair still on on Saturday? - I am always completely clueless about local events, doh!

geordieminx · 20/07/2009 20:15

Glasow Fair this coming weekend, also clan festival at Holyrood park over in Edinburgh.

Next weekend is Truckfest at Ingleston, and River Festival in Glasgow

Week after - 8th is family day at Pollock Park.

GiraffesCanRunA10k · 21/07/2009 00:19

Thanks for the tea RHG and the cuddles with DD - although am not sure she liked me CL was good - I sat and munched the free crisps between calls

weegiemum · 21/07/2009 10:29

I'm just back from holidays and not really free this week but next week is clear. Would be great to arrange something.

Maybe we shoudl all go to truckfest and show of our hairy hands

Kaza1 · 21/07/2009 21:18

Hi sorry to but in but meeting up sounds good if I can gatecrash. I'll keep an eye out for when it's arranged and children premitting I'll try to make it. I've got three girls 4,3 and 9months so outings are like a military op.

RedHairedGirlie · 21/07/2009 22:27

Hey Giraffe - am sure DD liked you.. am sure you got a few sneaky smiles out of her ..

Sorry we missed you Nyx!

Geordie, not able to make any days this week myself but could make the river festival at the weekend if anyone else was thinking of going along on Sat or Sun? .. oh no, just got some strawberries from Tesco today.. better go check them... ..

Truckfest sounds interesting too... and certanly somewhere different for mums to hang out

Look foward to another meetup soon..

Wiggletastic · 26/07/2009 16:36

Hello Glasgow girlies, just wondering if a week on Monday (3rd Aug) would be good for everyone to meet-up? Afternoon maybe? Any suggestions for venue? I know we have all been hoping for a meet-up in a park somewhere but the weather has been against us so far. Maybe this could be the one?

geordieminx · 26/07/2009 17:43

Peoples' Palace? Nice cafe, park, and easy parking?

Wiggletastic · 26/07/2009 20:07

That would suit me, I haven't been there for ages so will make a nice change.

RedHairedGirlie · 27/07/2009 16:19

I can make this one too.. lets hope for some sunny weather..
