Hi

Was wondering if any one else would like to get together one day and have a chat?

The more the merrier, everyone is always saying what is there for children to do, personally i hate going to soft play, swimming etc on my own. Think it may be an idea?

any one else with a suggestion?

x

Sounds like a plan then.. what time would suit everyone - maybe sometime before lunch to have a wander in the park (assuming dry weather) and then grab some lunch /feed the little people?

Am hoping DD is less spotty by then...sadly we didn't manage to avoid the chickenpox going aorund at nursery ..

PacificDogwood · 30/04/2010 21:22

Oh, the pox, what joy, girlie, hope she is ok.

You guys decide on the time and I will try to remove limpet off my anatomy long enough to make it there

Nyx · 30/04/2010 22:34

Can I come too (with dd of course, she's 4) - what sort of time would it be? And whereabouts in Glasgow Green? Although I've lived in Glasgow for years and years, am not very familiar with Glasgow Green

giraffesCANdriveAcar · 30/04/2010 22:53

Me too please. I'm not either Nyx! Is that where you and I had a coffee in AUg RHG? Any point in me bringing my rather beautiful car on a Sat or will there likely be nowhere to park?

Wiggletastic · 02/05/2010 20:08

Maybe me too depending on time? DD is now 18 months and needs lots of entertaining so Weegie and PDs biglies might have a job on their hands!

Have you traded your truck in for a car Giraffes? I bet you still have the hairy hands!

Yes wiggle I have a beautiful silver corsa - the truck only comes out on a Friday night now Its ok I will get the immac out first. Will see if I can steal baby S and you can have another cuddle with her and see her new clappy handies trick!

Wiggletastic · 02/05/2010 22:07

Ooh, Baby S is cuddlumptious!

PacificDogwood · 03/05/2010 10:44

Oh, good, sounds like it is going ahead

Ahem, can I bring my mum too? She is visiting from Wednesday day and it seems a bit rude to go out and leave her at home tempting as it may be at that point .

The West Brewery near Templeton Carpet Factory is v child friendly and does yummy lunch if we want more than a cheese roll btw

giraffesCANdriveAcar · 03/05/2010 13:16

Where ever is fine with me (did I mention I have a car now?! ), as long as I have a post code. Of course your Mum can come...as long as she doesn't want to steal ds4 and not let anyone else have a peak!

Wiggletastic · 03/05/2010 17:47

I baggsy first cuddle of DS4!

PacificDogwood · 05/05/2010 11:31

Frigging ash cloud interfering with mum's arrival, gah!

You are all welcome to have a cuddle with DS4 but bring your earplugs !

Nyx · 05/05/2010 13:21

Hello again everyone. So it's this Saturday at Glasgow Green (whereabouts, help?) at what time, please?

Thank you

Wiggletastic · 05/05/2010 19:25

I think RHG had suggested before lunch for walk/play in the park then lunch somewhere. How about 10.30? Not sure where though as I don't really know anywhere at Glasgow Green except the Peoples Palace. We could meet outside there maybe? Or inside if its pouring down? I will text RHG to see if she had another idea.

logrrl · 05/05/2010 21:13

I don't know any of you...and you all seem to know each other...could DS (13 months) and I gatecrash?

weegiemum · 05/05/2010 21:14

Just say when/where. We should be there no bother.

RedHairedGirlie · 05/05/2010 21:23

Hi, I checked the weather and it says 'fair' for saturday.. and there were little pictures of the sun so am assuming it means OK for playing in the park . Shall we just meet at the swing park thats near the road. I think its kind of towards the end of the park where the courts are??

I can make it for it for 10:30 (ish) if that suits everyone. Lunch at the Brewery soounds like a good idea too as I remember it has lots of floor space... shame they don't have a soft play there though..

Will go wtih whaterver suits everyone :-)

PS Giraffes I think there is parking near to the Peoples Palace. its kind of just behind the road where the Barra's is off and a dead end street I think - shoudl be quiet on a sat morning..

weegiemum · 05/05/2010 21:27

Parking? What, does Girrafes have a car or something?

weegiemum · 05/05/2010 21:31

Are you meaning the huge enormous play park? That one suits my kids pretty well!!

We'll bring balls, frisbees etc too or if people get bored with the park.

Wiggletastic · 05/05/2010 21:55

Logrrl, you are very welcome. Some of us know each other from previous MN meet-ups but we are not exclusive...

I am still confused about where this play area is. Is it near the Peoples Palace at all?

PacificDogwood · 06/05/2010 10:08

10.30 is good here too . And playpark is perfect for my troops.

As long as RHG will be there too to aid identification

PacificDogwood · 06/05/2010 10:10

wiggletastic, this is were the brewery is; the playpark is in the corner near the word 'West'.

hth

RedHairedGirlie · 06/05/2010 22:12

Didn't realise there was a park there.. I was thinking of the one further up the park off GreenDyke St, but no probs to meet there... I couldn't see kiddies swings etc at the one near the west though when zooming on google maps... Are there any there....DD will be most upset if there are no swings .

PS hair still red so easy to spot and DD has a nice little clump of red(ish) hair too !!

loueden · 07/05/2010 10:32

Another gatecrasher! Have 8 month old wee boy and am at loose end this weekend as dh working and pals without kids all out doing adult things! Would you still be around at one o'clockish? By time get organised and Alex has lunch/mashes his food into hair, face etc morning has gone!

PacificDogwood · 07/05/2010 20:26

Oh, no, do not confuse me with another playground !

Maybe the entrance to People's Palace would be less ambigous??
