Hi

Was wondering if any one else would like to get together one day and have a chat?

The more the merrier, everyone is always saying what is there for children to do, personally i hate going to soft play, swimming etc on my own. Think it may be an idea?

any one else with a suggestion?

x

Weegiemum - are your kids going to be there? Ds is not sure if he wants to come if he is going to be the oldest there.

midnightexpress · 10/08/2009 15:13

Hi ladies - sorry I ddn't make it this afternoon - DS1 has a streaming cold and a hacking cough (not the dreaded SF, at least I hope not), so thought I'd better not inflict it on you all.

Hope to meet some of you another time.

Nyx · 10/08/2009 16:12

Well I'm on a train back to central now, managed to get to the burrell eventually after getting the wrong train and ending up at flipping Pollokshields west instead of Pollokshaws west . my friend and I met Kaza and her gorgeous daughters - hello! But don't know if we were the only ones there or if we missed anyone else who may have gone along. It was nice out after all!

prettybird · 10/08/2009 16:46

Well - I managed to miss you Nyx , as ds and I arrived at 2.40 (on our bikes), looked around the cafe, couldn't see anyone, went acorss to the swing park to check and then went back to the cafe and had a coffee/Irn Bru and cake before going back to the swing park where ds played for a wee while. We're only just back.

Still, we had a nice cycle!

Nyx · 10/08/2009 17:11

Oh dear! Right, next time we may need to work out a signal of some sort to figure out who other mumsnetters are - I asked a group of folk who said 'no, but that lady over there asked the same thing earlier...!' and that's how we figured out Kaza! I'm glad you enjoyed your cycle, how far did you have to come?

prettybird · 10/08/2009 17:20

Only about a mile and a half! But it is good practice for ds

weegiemum · 10/08/2009 17:24

We also came round on bikes but must have missed all of you (was looking for you PB but didn't see you!!)

Oooops!

Must try harder!

prettybird · 10/08/2009 17:40

I'll need to get your mobile number then weegiemum, so that that doesn't happen again. Ds will be most disappointed when I tell him

Kaza1 · 10/08/2009 17:58

That was a shame we missed you . Nyx was nice to meet you and your friend. Shall we try for a meet next week? I know schools back my eldest is starting but finishes at lunchtime. Don't know everyone elses situation. This time we'll all need to wear a red carnation!!

giraffesCanRunA10k · 10/08/2009 18:19

I'm up for next week.

Nyx · 10/08/2009 21:54

I won't make it for a couple of weeks now as we're going up north for 2 weeks or so on the 18th. But you will have to let me know how the carnation thing works out

Weegie - sorry we missed you too, I was going to grill ask you about the gaelic school Maybe next time!

giraffesCanRunA10k · 10/08/2009 22:23

Have a nice holiday Nyx, hopefully see you next time. Could probably travel to next meet with you since you seem to live along the road [hhm]

Nyx · 10/08/2009 22:27

Probably a good idea, Giraffes - perhaps then I won't get on the wrong train and end up lost and having to phone a taxi...

(in order to hide the mess in here)

Wiggletastic · 11/08/2009 15:02

Hello, sorry I didn't make it, we are just back from the wilds of Lochaber, camping at the foot of Ben Nevis. No internet access obviously so couldn't say that I wasn't going to make it. See you all next time...

AvrilH · 20/08/2009 18:05

Sadie41 - if you are still reading, Prettybird pointed me here. I had my DD at the Queen Mum's in January, and would support what your NCT teacher said.

weegiemum · 20/08/2009 18:07

Are we planning anything else? I missed the last one (couldn't find you!) and wondered if we were thinking about meeting up again?

Kaza1 · 20/08/2009 19:52

yeah i'm up for meeting again

Where and when? My eldest has just started school so probably afternoons would suit me better as she finishes at 12 for the next couple of weeks and it would probably be a mad rush otherwise

weegiemum · 20/08/2009 19:57

Afternoons good for me as long as I can be home for 3.30 for the bus!

And not next Thursday as dd2 has a (hopefully final!) appointment at Yorkhill for her hips. Should be able to run adn jump as much as she likes from Thursday afternoon - I hope!

RedHairedGirlie · 20/08/2009 21:52

Would be nice to catch up again sometime..

Wiggletastic · 24/08/2009 10:33

What about friday afternoon, 1pm at the Tramway? Cakes and coffee aplenty and nice gardens for small people to run wild play nicely in if its sunny. (I am away for the two weeks after that so this week would be good for me [selfish emoticon])

Kaza1 · 24/08/2009 20:45

Friday afternoon sounds good for me
Where is the Tramway? I've got a car so I'll be driving. Looking forward to meeting you all and hopefully we'll not miss each other

prettybird · 26/08/2009 15:40

I'll try and make it too.

Wiggletastic · 26/08/2009 20:32

I am not going to be able to make it now as I have to go into work to see my boss about my return. Hope to catch up with you all soon...

weegiemum · 26/08/2009 20:39

I should be there though I will have to be away by 3 as I have to get home for the school bus.

Shame you won't be there wiggle, but hope to see you some other time.

Kaza1 · 27/08/2009 20:29

Is 2moro still on for the tramway?
