Hope you find me!

Auntie, wow 19 years! Congratulations!

Kew, I'd like to come along as well. Will bring something, maybe chocolate muffins!

mygreatauntgriselda · 19/02/2009 13:36

Steppy I'm not home and the family are out so I am assuming she arrived!! She noemally does 9am-1pm, so, in theory should be on her way to yours

mygreatauntgriselda · 19/02/2009 13:38

Just checked my moby and cleaner has cancelled today at last minute!

Did she come to you Steppy?? (her txt says she now thinks you are more important than me and that she prefers your trendy kitchen to my hovel )

mygreatauntgriselda · 19/02/2009 13:40

She just txted saying can she come tomorrow instaed - hmm what do you think, girls? I think she is being very unreliable - shall I just tell her to leave it for this week, otherwise she will think this messing about is acceptable??

rosmerta · 19/02/2009 13:48

auntie, let her come tomorrow but make it clear you expect her to come on the right day/time in future

rosmerta · 19/02/2009 13:48

auntie, let her come tomorrow but make it clear you expect her to come on the right day/time in future, but then I'm much nicer & like to give people second chances

FriarKewcumber · 19/02/2009 13:50

well would you rather clean it yourself?!

Personally I'm in the "any cleaner is a good cleaner" camp.

sfxmum · 19/02/2009 13:51

hello all hope everyone is well

SJ do you live in a village

Ros take training is going well, are you making banners?

dd has been on full on trying behaviour
'mummy call the teachers and say I am sick'
she went and liked it
'mummy but WANT 3 magazines' cue loud shouting in shopshe got none but I broke on a box of mini muffins

sfxmum · 19/02/2009 13:53

and happy anniversary to GAG

rosmerta · 19/02/2009 13:57

No banners yet, but am sure we will do one at some point. Think training is going well, he has to do 14 miles on Sunday . He does keep moaning about having to run when he's not had much sleep, so far I've restrained from pointing out that he chose to do it the year we have a new baby!

sfxmum · 19/02/2009 14:08

I admire your restraint!

mygreatauntgriselda · 19/02/2009 14:35

Hmm I think if I tell her "sorry its not convenient tomorrow, let's leave it until next week" she will get the message and I will save £32. Am skint this week as its the week before payday

mygreatauntgriselda · 19/02/2009 14:41

SFX Thanks for your donation to my swim for the the NSPCC !!

SJ99 · 19/02/2009 19:54

Happy Anniversary Auntie, wow 19yrs is impressive!

Steppie - would be great if your DH could help with unloading and laoding of boxes, thanks

Sfx - DH & I often joke that where we live does have a certain Ramsey St feel to it, nice in a way though

BTW this morning I decided to put DS1 back in nappies today. Instinct tells me whilst he's physically ready & able, he's not quite there emotionally so will leave it for while. He was so much happier and back to being his usual FLC self.

Looking forward to catch up on Sun

sfxmum · 19/02/2009 19:59

SJ would say go with your instincts he might even suggest it later

auntie you are welcome, can't believe they get less money than dog charities

am a bit stuck as to what to do tomorrow, was thinking of going swimming but dd's cough still not great and besides it is half term so might be crowded, might go to Kew as we both need to roam around I think
should anyone be interested in joining us let me know

mygreatauntgriselda · 19/02/2009 21:41

SFX would love to join you but at work tomorrow
Told the cleaner to come back next week (thus saving me £32) am a bit pissed off with her. I think she thinks I'm a bit of a soft touch and is taking the wotsit

slng · 20/02/2009 08:42

Morning all!

We are off on an adventure. It's only to the London Transport Museum, but it's half-term so it might well be a jungle out there!

Must mug an unsuspecting stranger on the way though. Only have 5 pounds in my wallet and I suspect that's not going to get us very far...

sfxmum · 20/02/2009 09:01

good morning all

slng so it is an extra teaching outing then? saves cash on 'les mis'

so what is the weather doing? yuck, well we will see maybe some puddle jumping is in order

SJ99 · 20/02/2009 10:04

Sorry Sfx, would like to join you but DS1 at preschool so am catching up on a few bits & bobs this morning. Have fun, you might catch some rays today

Slng - good luck with your adventure, let me know what you think of musuem

Speaking of charities, I've been contributing to cats charity for years but they lost £9 million that Icelandic fund disaster, how gutting

SJ99 · 20/02/2009 10:06

sorry should be in that

sfxmum · 20/02/2009 10:23

actually it looks very much like a quiet day here we are both quite tired and a tad cranky.
have loads to sort around the house just trying to avoid it

SJ99 · 20/02/2009 10:25

I know that feeling

Might head out for walk soon though for bit of fresh air and exercise

mygreatauntgriselda · 20/02/2009 10:40

SJ That's terrible about the charity

Have a nice day whatever you do. I am stuck in work and DH is taking the LOs uptown - am terrified he will lose one of them or something. Won't be able to relax until I am back at home with them

slng · 20/02/2009 15:41

Auntie - glad to see another worrier. I couldn't sleep for two nights because DSs were going to MIL's for two days (only in the day) while I worked and her garden backed onto a river ... Of course she's not stupid and did not let them out into the garden but I'm sure it's turned a few strands of my hair grey ...

Transport museum great fun. But go early - we were there at 10.30 and it was nice and quiet. By the time we left at 12 it was packed and there was a long queue to get in. Never understood that - surely 12 is LUNCH TIME! We had dim sum in Chinatown, two of us polishing off 5 little dishes. Yum! Bought a little toy for DS1 but fatally forgot to buy anything for DS2 (who was at nursery - out of sight out of mind ) so had to hoof it down to the pound shop just now with both in tow. DS2 now proud owner of nondescript green car.

Slng is the Transport Museum still at Covent Garden? DD went there with school 2 weeks ago. Your day sounds nice!

Sent you all a note on FB about big Feed In tomorrow (you don't have to be breastfeeding. If you haven't breast fed this is your chance to do it virtually, without the sore nips )
