hello bla bla bla

Kew - Poor ds. It's heartbreaking when LOs get ill. Hope he feels better soon.

Sfx - I can't bear to hear/watch the reporting on the worsening financial crisis.

rosmerta · 07/10/2008 14:09

Kew, hope ds feels better soon

We're having a quiet afternoon today, ds didn't feel like napping so we're watching Cars for a little bit.

Kewcumber · 07/10/2008 16:50

just as a complete aside I googled NHS direct with the rash and bruising symptoms I had when I decided to drive to A&E.

NHS direct advice was "ring 999 immediately"

Glad I didn't know that then!

sfxmum · 07/10/2008 17:16

and they would be right KC
how is gherkin?

on an entirely different subject does anyone local know if
the road in front of the main entrance to my estate, if instead of going up the main road I keep going along the crematorium, do I reach the river?
am trying to find a route to Sheen avoiding the main road after dropping dd off at nursery

on way back last week I walked back from the green down the lane to the river by the Ships pub

probabaly not making sense but TIA for any info

dd is currently writing an essay on her laptop
she is on the writing programme it has a pink background and assorted letter in purposeful looking groups

Just popping in. Hello everyone

Kewcumber · 07/10/2008 20:23

yes if you cut between new houses in front of dump and cenetrary it takes you to a car park for I think the seas scouts hut which is on the river. Guess you can walk to mortlake by Ship in and cut up to sheen through mortlake green somehow.

DS has one spot in his chest. But think it may just be an insect bit [paranoid bloody hypochondriac emoticon] Thinlk he is actually too sick for CP. He has been pretty bad an temp v high but throwing up has stopped and he has eventually gone to bed in his own bed which was out of the question last night, so hopefuly tomorrow will see a big improvement and I might get a bt of sleep before my (very badly prepared for board meeting).

I also may have to kill my temporary accountant tomorrow.

sfxmum · 07/10/2008 20:26

KC thanks thought you could get to car park and boat place to river

surely ds will be fine, kill accountant if you must

Hi Bunyan

OP posts:
slng · 07/10/2008 20:33

For goodness' sake Kew don't tell us if you are going to kill the accountant. It shows premeditation.

Hope ds fine.

I have baked some cupcakes for school cake sale after all. We need cake anyway, and it was actually quicker to bake than to load-2-kids, get-to-supermarket, unload-kids, find-cake, decide-on-cake, veto-all-other-purchases, pay-for-cake, stop-kids-from-mauling-magazines, load-kids-again, get-home.

Kewcumber · 07/10/2008 20:37

well to be fair "temporary" is in his job title.

Kewcumber · 07/10/2008 20:38

of course "going to bed in his own bed" consists of plaintive voice saying "come back mummy, comeback mummy"... I;m such a hard cow (though have been in twice already)

mellow2 · 08/10/2008 08:41

Morning everyone.

Kew - Glad ds is recovering and it's not CP.

rosmerta · 08/10/2008 08:50

morning everyone, looks like it might be a nice day for a change

Kew, glad ds seems to be getting better

sfxmum · 08/10/2008 08:51

good morning all

hope gherkin and miniRos are recovering well

quite a good night here thankfully, now trying to decide if is socially acceptable to take dd to nursery and attend WW in my running gear or not

looks lovely out hope everyone is well
we might go to Kew after nursery

OP posts:
rosmerta · 08/10/2008 08:55

Ds seems to be better thanks sfx, I'm thinking about risking swimming this morning!

Not sure about social rules of going to nursery in running gear but think WW would be impressed!

SJ99 · 08/10/2008 09:19

LOL Slng - looks like you made the right decision

Hope LO's are feeling better.

Think we'll have a quiet few days at home in anticpation of another manic weekend. Going to do some baking soon and then go for a walk in the lovely sunshine. Hospital check up after lunch.

DH kindly bought me a present, a bottle of one of fave wines for after the birth. Wine not v. common and he saw it at airport but tragically left it on flight back from M/cr last night

Sfx - I went to drop off yesterday in tracky bottoms as I went straight to pool afterwards, worked for me!

Kewcumber · 08/10/2008 09:38

well I'm that it wouldn;t even occur to me that it would be a problme dropping off in trackie bottoms or running gear.

DS much better though not 100% his "chicken pox spot" has disappeared today!

Now todays tasks: to get through board meeting and try not to kill accountant.

mellow2 · 08/10/2008 10:20

Kew - Good luck with board meeting.

Sfx - I've been dropping off dd in sweats. I'm determined to not wear sweats next time so the other moms don't think I'm a complete chav.

sfxmum · 08/10/2008 10:53

KC will give you badge if you resist homicide
glad to hear gherkin ok, when do you know about your immunity?

SJ oh no the tragedy. am very cheap&common regarding wines usually give me a nice Pinot Noire and I am happy, also very keen on a nice Portuguese Periquita

slng good choice

thanks for assorted tips on leisure gear, there were 3 women there in trainers and jogging tights, but I did not wear mine rushed back home to finish the essay as was too lazy last night

so that is my task for now then pick up dd then Kew I think

OP posts:
slng · 08/10/2008 11:12

Good morning! Nice sunny day, isn't it?

I never wear tracky bottoms out but no guarantee as to what is covered up under coat! Also have to resist changing into soft comfortable elastic waist clothes whenever I get in ... What I need now is new warm slippers to wear about the house.

KC - try star charts to stop homicide. "Your honour, he was only temporary" is never to going to cut it, you know.

rosmerta · 08/10/2008 13:12

lol @ star charts to stop homicide!

Kew, hope your meeting went well & bloodshed was averted!

Sj, meant to say, thanks for the invite for me to come & clean your house, its very kind but I think I've got enough to do here

Been swimming this morning, pool was nice & empty so ds could splash all he wanted. Still doesn't seem like he's going to nap though so need to find something to do this afternoon where he can play & I can sit down!

sillybigsausage · 08/10/2008 14:10

Hi all [waves]

Hi Bunyan

Our GPs are nice but the receptionists are all real bolloxes

Or should that be bolloxi?

Is bollocks a latin word?

Flies back to Planet Over-Tired

sfxmum · 08/10/2008 15:55

SBS that will be colei or some such vry similar to the Portuguese word colhoes or Spanish cojones was that helpful

lovely day out made a fuss a nursery because I stopped them giving her ice cream since she had not touched her food

think will try the pool on Friday

OP posts:
sfxmum · 08/10/2008 15:56

dd made a fuss and cried that is I was just good old mean mummy

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 08/10/2008 16:46

board meeting done, accountant still alive (but not for much longer) off to take cat for stitches out.

Going to be massively busy in work for a month or so... jail term for murder might be a nice rest.
