OP posts:
stepfordwife · 03/10/2008 21:32

oh, and ros, sorry meant to say..
did i enjoy antm?
i did indeed.

but, you were right, not the makeover show - that's next week.

stepfordwife · 03/10/2008 21:34

yes, sfx, get pree-teen flashes in the boys sometimes....
i just hope and pray they'll be vaguely pleasant teenagers
as long as they keep my zimmer frame serviced for me, i'll be happy...

stepfordwife · 03/10/2008 21:35

pre-teen, even
pree-teen looks better, tho..

stepfordwife · 03/10/2008 21:38

ds2 can't wait to be a teenager - he thinks they're the coolest beings on the earth.
he particularly longs to wear 'teeth furniture" (he means braces) and hang about street corners looking gangly

ds1 finds them scary..

sfxmum · 03/10/2008 21:45

LOL the are so funny I like being the embarrassing old aunt but our family's two teens think we have a great music and book collection and have been to lots of cool gigs from the old days
although the other teen thinks I am not tragically deeply unstylish

about weird food combos dd makes some weird ones but as long as it is not poisonous and she eats it am ok

OP posts:
sfxmum · 03/10/2008 21:46

I am tragically deeply unstylish that is

OP posts:
rosmerta · 03/10/2008 21:47

lol sfx, poor you!

Steppie, I always like the makeover episode, looking forward to it! I also prefer it when the shine's off a bit & they stop screaming at every little thing!

Ds seems to have had his first bad dream, crying out for us but didn't really seem to be awake. He did calm down and go back to sleep quickly though, fingers crossed he stays that way!

rosmerta · 03/10/2008 21:49

sfx, the poor you comment was about dd's conversation btw!

Computer slow tonight, finding it hard to keep up!

sillybigsausage · 03/10/2008 21:50

"Lead us not into Temp-ta-tion!"

Blardy marvelous!!!

Crushed by the wheels of Industry...whooo..whooo

stepfordwife · 03/10/2008 21:54

yes, sfx, i embrace the role of embarrassing aunty/mum whole-heartedly. years of fun (and cringing offspring) ahead.

ros, oh, yes, the screeching, sorry the SCREEEEEEEEEEECHING at the least little thing is tiresome

poor ds, hope he has a restful night.

right, am obviously deluded thinking i'm going to do any work, so am going to bed to read my book
toodlepip

sillybigsausage · 03/10/2008 21:55

Got the H17 CD as a free giveaway from Dail Mail

Now I realise that newspapers have to giveaway freebies in this electronic age, but surely its no co-incidence that all the 1980s CD's they gave away were orginally released during the Thatcher era - me thinks the Mail are trying to subliminally make their (middle aged) readers feel nostaglia for the old Tory days

stepfordwife · 03/10/2008 21:55

temptaaaaaaaaaation

stepfordwife · 03/10/2008 21:58

lol at subliminal messages, sausage
i fear you may be right..
have they done my real 80s fave...the, be still my beating heart....human league yet....?
"i was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar when i met you................

don't you want me, baaaaaaaaby?"

sfxmum · 03/10/2008 22:00

SBS maybe if you p[lay it backwards...

the news quiz today were saying that mrsT was not in the hall to hear Cameron's speech but she was circling above the conference venue

OP posts:
stepfordwife · 03/10/2008 22:00

..on her broomstick?

rosmerta · 03/10/2008 22:03

Nah, she doesn't need a broomstick

stepfordwife · 03/10/2008 22:03

.."the last few years have been such good times..
i still love yoo-ooh
buty it's time i led my life on my own..
it's what i must doo-ooo...

don't you want me, baaaaaaaby?"
sorry, having an 80s meltdown now
right, bed..

sfxmum · 03/10/2008 22:04

one assumes steppie or maybe just spectre like as in Voldemort

just realised SBS called us middle age

OP posts:
stepfordwife · 03/10/2008 22:06

middle-aged
nah, sfx. we're recycled teenagers..

sfxmum · 03/10/2008 22:09

OP posts:
