just back from the doctor, there seems to be a lump, which she feels it is unlikely to be cancerous but she thinks best investigate further, so am being fast tracked to Royal Marsden
considerably calmer now,he said but because of what she said but because will do proper tests soon and know for sure

off to get dd to sleep

sfxmum · 18/06/2008 20:18

sorry my mouse is jumping all over the text splicing my words hope it makes sense

Paddlechick666 · 18/06/2008 20:20

I can do 3rd August for trains.

sfx, glad you went and that you're being fast tracked. best to get these things checked for peace of mind if nothing else.

ComeOVeneer · 18/06/2008 20:34

sfx try not to worry (hard I know). I have had several lumps removed from my breasts all benign but it is scarey each time nontheless.

2Cute · 18/06/2008 20:52

Hello everyone. Sorry to be rude and not know what's happening on this thread but trying to catch up on 9 months of the west london chat is TOO much for anyone! (Not that it's called the West London thread anymore What happened there?

I'm still all over the place but hanging in there for that promised time (I keep being re-assured about) when things "become easier to handle". It still seems very surreal at times, like I'm stuck in a dream. Sorry if that's TMI for anyone. I'm just beginning to try and talk about what's happened.

How is everyone? Are there still regular adult meet ups? Might as well jump in head first.

SFX - I'm using the net at my parents at the moment so still better to text.

xxx

ComeOVeneer · 18/06/2008 21:07

2cute, how lovely to see you. Sorry I wasn't able to help (or rather dh). Have you kept in touch with some of the others on here? How is ds doing (and you obviously). We were asked to move from chat to the designated localsections a while back.

The news is vast here. Several pregnancies, I have had a career change, and a lot else inbetween

sfxmum · 18/06/2008 21:12

hi 2cute lovely to see you around here, yes will call tomorrow and work out details

cov/paddle thanks yes better check and get on with it no matter what

off to eat my trifle which is very boozy indeed, well done mister marks and mister spencer

rosmerta · 18/06/2008 21:20

evening all, how is everyone?

2cute, nice to see you! A couple of us are going to Kidzone in Isleworth tomorrow am if you can make it?

Sfx, sorry I haven't watched any of BSG yet so no spoiling it for me! Glad you're getting fast-tracked as well, as paddle said, good to get these things checked out.

Right, must go do some studying...

Paddlechick666 · 18/06/2008 21:33

hey 2Cute, sorry didn't call you again. back to back conference calls all arvo and DM is here now.

will try you again tomorrow.

had my Tesco trifle. dd had hers earlier and has discovered a new delight! we blew bubbles in the bath too.

stepfordwife · 18/06/2008 23:33

hi everyone

hi 2cute
how lovely to see you back here
i know you probably don't feel it at all, but you're being so strong and there's no time limits for how you "should" be feeling.
and it'll be fab to see you for an 'adult meet-up" (that does involve vino, right?)

glad you're being fast-tracked, sfx. sometimes it's hardest just to make that first step and get yourself to the GP, isn't it? sounds reassuring so far and always best to see the experts. did they say when your appointment would be?

still lurgified here, but thanks for (milked) sympathy.had to pick ds2 up from school at lunch-time as ill. how very dare he?!
sod's law: dh goes away for work; dcs get ill.
better drag my tired arse to bed.

sfxmum · 19/06/2008 09:03

hello good morning all

steppie poor you, what is that child playing at? hope you feel better soon
due to cancer targets I shall be seen within 2weeks - she did warn me not to freak out, I like my doctor's straightforward manner

timing could be better as we are in the process of changing our life insurance

hope everyone is well today
must must get child out of the house today

SJ99 · 19/06/2008 09:41

Hello all

Hi 2Cute, how are you doing?

Sfx - glad you're being seen to quickly, it is v. worrying (I had to have 2 lumps removed from breast before) but at least you won't have a long wait

COV - can't do 6th July

Off to Kidzone shortly if anyone else fancies it

MrsRecycle · 19/06/2008 10:12

oh sfx sorry to hear about your lump - it is really good you are being fast-tracked and hopefully it isn't too much to worry about but you can't help but worry can you? Sending lots of love and hugs to you xx

2Cute - lovely to see you here - I wondered how you were bearing up. You are so right, things move so quickly on this thread - I don't come on for a few days and even then its hard to catch up.

Steppie sorry to hear about dcs being ill - have you recovered yet as well? Sometimes it's just never ending isn't it, one illness after the next.

COV - I can only do more local meetups (Ealing/Richmond) as I have to come home from Guildford to pick up the LOs from their activities/CMs now that we don't have an AP. Previously it was fine as I would have driven straight from work.

But definitely up for daytime meet-ups in September (looking forward to them!!)...

SushiMummy · 19/06/2008 12:10

sfx - sorry to hear about your lump, totally empathise how you feel - I had similar scare a few years ago and went through all the tests. Am sending you lots of positive vibes.

2cute - hi! lovely to see you.

steppie - hope you and dcs are feeling better.

cov/qc - can do 3 aug for the train thingy. DS would love it!

Hope everyone is well.

BTW, has anyone had MMR booster before 3?

sfxmum · 19/06/2008 12:16

many thanks for best wishes regarding bothersome boob, I am calm about it maybe it is the inevitability and the plan of action in place, it is so much worst to make the first call and see the GP

this is turning out to be like miscarriages, you think you are the only one and then find out lots of people with similar stories, very reassuring.

Sushi I was told at 2.5 review that dd was due for the booster, I ignored it as yet have no plans to give it we will see

2Cute · 19/06/2008 14:10

sfx - sorry about the scare but it's good that the tests are being done quickly. Fingers crossed for you.

COV - Pregnancies? career change? in betweens? You definately have to update me now.
DS is doing much better now thank you, he's back to being a happy, cheeky little monkey! He never ceases to amaze me and if it wasn't for him, I don't think I'd be here. It's my birthday next month and DS said "I can't take you to Hawaii like Dadda did mummy but I can get you a vewy big surpwise pwesent, how about a real ferrari, you will be sooo happy!" I'm hanging in there, thanks for asking, and trying to do normal things now such as come back on here.I'm just very grateful to have friends and family around.

Steppie - Hope you're on the mend. Vino's a must!

Sushi - my DS had his mmr booster 2 days ago. He was asked to have it last year at 3 years.I was waiting as I wasn't sure what to do but a child at his nursery had (unconfirmed) mumps so I went for it.

Ros- Just came online now so didn't see your post about kidzone. Hope you had a good time.

mellow2 · 19/06/2008 14:48

Hi 2cute,
Lovely to see you back on here. Glad ds is doing well too.

I don't come on for a week and I lose track of what's going on completely.

Sfx,
Try not to worry. It's a good thing you're being fast tracked like the others said.
