New thread for new month!

OP posts:
sfxmum · 21/04/2008 15:40

as you know I have been dealing with the renewal of my ID card, I decided to ask for a passport as well we might visit friends outside Europe - well they gave me an appointment for the 24th of September £57

sfxmum · 21/04/2008 15:41

two tone trunks! not very manly to need goggles

Lausy · 21/04/2008 16:16

...mmmm Keanu Reeves in his 'speed' days mmmmm...

So I went to Redlees park and didn't really chat much to any o the other mums, except for a very nice nanny who I think took pity on me ho hum!!

Was laughing to myself on the way back home at the ridiculous names I call my ds - these days its 'senor fatbum' said in a ridiculous attempt at spanish accent - anyone else with any ridiculous names for their beloveds??

Kewcumber · 21/04/2008 16:50

Peppa Pig is currently DS's favorite, bought a new DVD of it at the weekend. Big Mistake.

"'gain, 'gain"

Would anyone like me to recite all ten episodes of the DVD? (with appropriate actions and soundtrack)

Not quite sure I will discuss with Keanu on our first date (d'you think he'll be a Peppa Pig fan?)

Kewcumber · 21/04/2008 16:52

Am not hung up on Keanu by the way - buff rugby type would do.

Kewcumber · 21/04/2008 16:52

actually breathing and clean would do.

Kewcumber · 21/04/2008 16:52

though thinking about it, I could negotiate on "clean".

Kewcumber · 21/04/2008 16:53

Though I put my foot down on "breathing" - I have my standards you know.

sfxmum · 21/04/2008 16:56

I always imagine he is a bit Bill&Ted who likes Nortons - apparently he does well with property investments, so you see common ground

Peppa is great, love the way they fall about laughing

Lau do you want to meet up at Kew tomorrow? anyone else? it is supposed to be sunny and warm

sfxmum · 21/04/2008 16:58

KC you just want to give them a good scrub don't you?

sfxmum · 21/04/2008 16:59

and no sexy vampires for you obviously

Lausy · 21/04/2008 19:19

Would love to, what time are you thinking of going? I may be popping ou tin the morning but I'm pretty much free all day.

QC - When you say 'breathing'- how regularly would that be necessary?

I've still got the wonders of ds being adicted to scary tv personalities to come! Can't wait to being kept up all night because I can't get the tweenies theme tune out of my head...!!!

rosmerta · 21/04/2008 20:24

Lausy, its made worse when you realise you've only got one episode taped to get you through the weekend & ds requests it over & over again. Think we saw Friday's episode of the Tweenies about 15 times [bangs head against wall]

sfxmum · 21/04/2008 21:06

Lau I seldom manage to leave the house before 11am I want to have a look at the bluebells tomorrow, will email my mobile number

Ros yes much sympathy we were made to sing Thomas theme tune at dinner today - I sing then daddy sings they mummy

anyone for a bluebell walk?

Lausy · 21/04/2008 21:34

OMG - I'm really looking forward to that, I love the idea of going to a bar and whishing they would just play teletubbies!

SFX - I'll check my e-mails and call you tomorrow when I'm good to go

nighty nights xxx

SJ99 · 21/04/2008 21:37

Hello all

Will be going to Kew tom with GP's, will try and get there btw 10-10.30am. No idea which bit we'll be in but maybe see some of you there.

As for kiddies theme tunes, I can't seem to get Big Cook Little Cook out of my head, aaarrgggh. The other night I couldn't sleep and that's all I could think about

fitfox · 21/04/2008 21:47

Have't you lot got any housework to do?

Rose where are you planning to go on your Sun trip?

We are thinking Brittany

Have you looked at the sites on the Sun website? he pull out list and descriptions are out on Thursday

fitfox · 21/04/2008 21:49

Keyboard keeps missing letters when I type. Its not me honest

Steppy saw your Dh today with DS1 have they got man and boyman flu respectively?

rosmerta · 21/04/2008 21:50

Yep, we're planning already as I'd heard they can get booked up pretty quickly. I think we were going to try & stay in the UK, probably head to a Haven park but we may put somewhere in France down as an option.

slng · 21/04/2008 21:51

We saw some bluebells in walpole park last week. DS1 spotted them - thanks to Thomas and Stepney. I thought they are a summer thing. Shows how much I know ...

rosmerta · 21/04/2008 21:52

house...work?

Nope, sorry, you've lost me there!

rosmerta · 21/04/2008 21:53

I've got bluebells in my garden, do you think I could charge people to come & have a look?

fitfox · 21/04/2008 21:55

Slng I think Bluebells are spring

Rose you need to send off tokens ASAP when you have them all. We got 3rd choice for venue and 3rd choice for dates, last time. For May we had a priority booking code but still only got about 3rd choice (but were still happy). At least you can still go outside of school hols while DS is under 4. We are fairly hampered by school dates.

Lausy · 21/04/2008 21:55

Ok now you've got me, what the hell is house work?????? Its like you're speaking in another language...
