meglet · 30/03/2008 20:44

anyone else loving the sunny weather today? I got two loads of washing dry on the washing line, no tumble dryer or clothes draped over the radiators. bliss .

I have no life

meglet · 06/04/2008 08:14

SNOOOOOWWWWWW! yay! Bit of a change to last weeks sunshine. Was anyone else woken up by the scary thunder?

Islamum · 06/04/2008 10:48

meglet · 06/04/2008 11:06

islasmum how are you getting on? Isla must be 4 months now?

Islamum · 06/04/2008 16:20

Nearly 5! Gone so quick. I'm completely knackered and really should start looking for a job! I think you live near me, I'm on Alexandra Road

PurpleLostPrincess · 07/04/2008 14:37

Oh my goodness, I used to live on Alexandra Road!!!! I went to Brookvale School when it was a school too

We were woken by the thunder too - have never known it to thunder whilst snowing and only once too!!!

How is everybody? xx

Islamum · 07/04/2008 14:59

Did you go see the houses they have put in the school? Went to have a nose round the showhome, cheeky rep said 'maybe when you win the lottery hey?' It was stunning. Glad the suns back..

OP posts:
kys · 07/04/2008 15:24

How bizzare!! What a coincidence. Ive been playing at the park near brookvale school all morn with my ds. He loved it, but christ its freezing.

PurpleLostPrincess · 07/04/2008 16:18

Tut, cheeky rep! Haven't been up there for years but I can imagine they're gorgeous! Is the park still there then? I did wonder when they built safeways if the park survived or not... Anybody remember the scrambling roundabout? That reminds me, there's loads of groups about B'stoke on FaceBook if you fancy a laugh!?

kys · 07/04/2008 16:28

My dad use to take my brothers and i scrambling on that roundabout every wkend. I was only about 6 but used to fly round on my brothers motorbikes, no fear of anything. How times have changed, health and safety would never allow it these days.
I can remember 1 night in my early twenties trying to climb the banks on the roundabout whilst extremely drunk on the way home from the old snooker centre. Those were the days

Islamum · 07/04/2008 16:32

Buds bar, [nostalgic sigh] Used to get trashed there then get half fare on the bus back to town to carry on drinking at tart! At the moment 1/2 a glass of wine has the same effect!

OP posts:
kys · 07/04/2008 16:47

I know the feeling, went out for a meal on saturday and felt half cut after a few glasses. In the old days i was out at 3 or 4pm for the rest of the night.
Buds Bar, such fond memories
