bunyan very of coffee pot take-away.

ros, foxie and kew hope your swimming is lovely tonight.

2cute thanks for attempting to tidy dd's room even tho they trashed it again lol!

large glass of vino and i am on the sofa for the night!

Paddlechick666 · 18/01/2008 20:15

ps; d'you think my neighbours hate me yet

ComeOVeneer · 18/01/2008 22:02

So does nobody like my new coat then?

ComeOVeneer · 18/01/2008 22:05

Well dh finally made it home after 8pm, so I rushed out to waitrose for some supper. It was very amusing, I was planning on getting something I could just bung straight into the micro or oven but couldn't get near that section as in was surrounded by bemused looking youngish men in suits . So I totally cheated and bought a ready cooked chicken (they were all reduced to £1) salad and a baguette. (COV retrieves domestic crown from around ankles ).

fitfox · 18/01/2008 22:33

CoV LOL at you with all the young guys buying their ready meals

Ros and I had a fab swim and jacuzi/steam

Paddle sorry i couldn't come today it sounds really good fun - are you still on for tomorrow? Wi Fi router hasn't arrived yet so am hoping it will arrive tomorrow. My parcels all usually arrive in batches and I'm waiting for other stuff too

Steppy I will have a look for a disposable swim nappy - I only just remembered there is such a thing . Ros says |I can probably buy a single one for DS2's big day out at the pool

Lodger is installed and seems very nice. Quite private but she had her TV on loud which is good as the kids were being very boisterous and I was worried she'd be a church mouse but she seems quite happy. I put a very girly Roses duvet cover on and a vase of flowers - so nice to have a civilised female lodger

fitfox · 18/01/2008 22:36

Lodger just turned her TV down - she has obviously read the clause about "Noise levels to be kept to a mininimum after 10.30pm"

ComeOVeneer · 18/01/2008 22:40

But what is your opinion on my new coat???? Have I made a horrendous mistake or is it quite stylush. I have cream leather gloves to go with it and a kind of 20's style black hat too (I have the black version of the coat, not the brown).

Oh dear. link didn't work CoV - got Redoute but message said "the item you are looking for could not be found"

ComeOVeneer · 19/01/2008 09:14

Try again this one

sfxmum · 19/01/2008 11:27

good morning all

cov nice coat, couldn't see the link earlier.
I go around in a parka in winter.

speaking of new stuff I need shoes these days I only have flats and flat boots, bit tricky when going out on grown up stuff.

SJ99 · 19/01/2008 13:00

Hello all

Thanks for yesterday Paddle, it was a great housewarming! Hope you enjoyed your wine at the end of it

Nice to meet you Bunyan at last - did you go to art class? We got up too late to get organised in time for DH to go so he took DS to Bushy park instead and I got my gym fix.

Hope those who went to Cedars last night enjoyed themselves

Foxie - Ds is so wee you can prob have one of his disposable swim nappies, I forget what size he is. He's gone for nap now so will check later when I can get in his rm & let you know

BTW - where do you buy your LO's shoes from? I'm getting fed up with Clarks, they always give DS such random measurements and the service is not that brill. Any recommendations?

rosmerta · 19/01/2008 13:19

Hi all, thanks for the swim last night Foxie, it was lovely & I slept very well last night!

Sj, sorry, I just put up with clarks! There's one in Kew Village which I know a few people use.

rosmerta · 19/01/2008 13:19

Kewcumber · 19/01/2008 13:39

Ros - are you still planning to go to CPC? Think I will go - DS is asleep but will take him post nap probably.

rosmerta · 19/01/2008 13:54

Hi Kew, think I will still go provided I can get ds into his pushchair, he's been a bit of a nightmare about that today! Will head over once he's woken up.

SJ99 · 19/01/2008 14:45

Foxie - swim nappies are 7-12kg so you can have one if you want. They sell them in Tesco's too

Ros - will pass on CPC but have fun

Found a shoe shop in Teddington which looks good so off to check that out

Kewcumber · 19/01/2008 14:48

i THINK YOU CAN PARK IN THE SHCOOL ON A sAt?

sfxmum · 19/01/2008 15:06

SJ 'one small step' is generally good, sometimes I use the one in Kew village as well, great service. with Clarks you need to have time go sometime when it is not busy and really get lucky with the person measuring it is very hit and miss and quite frustrating at times

Paddlechick666 · 19/01/2008 21:53

foxie, ta for the coffee, was great to see you. hope the swim tomorrow is lovely.

sj, i take dd to onesmallstep too. they're so good with kids. there's one in teddington.

dd banged her head a corker this evening. messing about on the furniture whilst i was in the kitchen. she seemed fine and ate all her tea. she cried instantly and it was the back of her head where the skull curves out.

am sure she's fine but still a bit worried. she's got a lump the size of a medium marble poor thing.

Kewcumber · 19/01/2008 22:21

I buy shoes on ebay or make Sushi give me her DS's outgrown ones . I don't stress too much about the fit, DS has fairly average width feet and I put the shoes on him and prod them to see where the toe is. If they seem to fit then I think they are the right size. Seems to work

fitfox · 19/01/2008 22:31

SJ - thanks - I bought some swim disposables but could only get size medium which are huge. the ones you have sound a better size - whereabouts do you live? i fear it might be too much of a palava trying to get to you tomorrow, between church and swim !!!

sfxmum · 19/01/2008 22:41

quick question - does anyone know the name of the pottery cafe type place in Sheen, is it still going? also has anyone tried the one in Kew green?

regarding swim nappy Boots were out of all except the big ones, very annoying

fitfox · 19/01/2008 23:30

SFX Do you mean the Art Yard in Sheen? If so, I can highly recommend it!

sfxmum · 20/01/2008 09:01

can't remember the name foxie, I seldom go that way but we walked past it ages ago when dd was a baby and thought it would be a nice thing to do when older, it is before we hit most of the shops coming from our side.

good morning all it is my turn to get up with dd
