rosmerta · 18/01/2008 13:53

Hi all, ds doesn't seem to want to settle for his nap but fingers crossed he'll go off now!

Foxie, am looking forward to our swim tonight

fitfox · 18/01/2008 14:14

Hi all

Just dashing past as am tres busy at work!

Ros - see you at 8pm - you need to drive into the car park of the Richmond Hill Hotel (which is next to the Richmond Gate Hotel) and the venue is on the right hand side, but behind the main hotel. Hope that makes sense

rosmerta · 18/01/2008 14:17

No worries foxie, thanks for directions! I've got your mobile number just in case.

stepfordwife · 18/01/2008 14:27

hello all
how you all diddling?
MAKE THE RAIN STOP

paddle, what a pain you'd taken the morning off. nice dd is settling well, though.
took dd swimming this morning as felt guilty hadn't "done" much this week. it was either that or the lollipop club (i've never taken dd) but thought it would be feral in there on such a rainy day..

such a faff, swimming, isn't it, but enjoyed it,,,apart from dd saying loudly:"too TIGHT, mama," as i tried to shoehorn myself into my cossie."

we off to the panto tonight. what do you mean it's too late. "OH NO IT'S NOT!" MIL booked tickets for tonight , despite lack of christmas spirit, sure it'll be a laugh

toodlepip

stepfordwife · 18/01/2008 14:29

swimming with childeren, i meant...it won't be a faff swimming at cedars, foxie...

sfxmum · 18/01/2008 14:46

guilty of doing nothing with dd, well yes in that department I have the award for rubbish mum of the year, just can't get it together at all

one of the advantages, and I can think of more drawbacks, of tidying cupboards is that I found a huge tin of shortcake biscuits I forgot I had.
and you know they best before March must not allow them to go bad

stepfordwife · 18/01/2008 14:54

don't beat yourself up about it too much, sfx.
they enjoy pottering around home just as much sometimes and 'helping" don't they?

i reckon my lot would rater potter more sometimes but i drag them out because i want to go out and about, ho-hum, all a matter of balance, eh?

ypu can hold my hand on my first trip for years to the lollipop club some time if you fancy. on a non-rainy, non-feral day, of course.
enjoy the shortbread!

sfxmum · 18/01/2008 15:37

aaaw steppie bless sorry about self pitying moment I like going for walks with dd which are not really possible in this weather, otherwise it has to be blinking venues
shortbread yummy

speaking of lollipop was considering doing dd's birthday there or cpc, prices seem similar this flat is too small and she wants a party with kids

ComeOVeneer · 18/01/2008 16:31

Hi all. Well dh got back safe and sound (delayed by 3 hours due to yesterdays crash). Only got a couple of hours sleep on the plane and is pretty jet lagged. He got home at 10.30am and 10.45am his boss was on the phone saying something had come up that only dh could deal with so he had to treck into the office despite having booked today off as holiday in order to recover.

I wish the weather would improve as (a) I am sick of ds being constantly wet and muddy and (b) I want to wear my new coat not bl**dy waterproofs al the time. . Anyone want to see my new coat?

fitfox · 18/01/2008 18:09

Hi everyone

I have a favour to ask

Does anyone have some baby swimpants (the integral nappy ones) which I could borrow for a couple of hours on Sunday?

Either size 9-12 months or 12-18 (don't care if they are pink or blue)

I could pop over and collect tomorrow and then deliver them back washed early next week?

ComeOVeneer · 18/01/2008 18:13

I have a plain white pair that you caould have for keeps but I would prob have to post them so no good for Sunday. But if you want them they are yours.

fitfox · 18/01/2008 19:10

CoV that's really kind of you. Do they have the nappy padding inside?

rosmerta · 18/01/2008 19:12

Thanks for today paddle, ds seemed to really enjoy himself & was v impressed at how well-behaved all the dcs were!

fitfox · 18/01/2008 19:13

Anyone have a pair I could borrow just for Sunday???

fitfox · 18/01/2008 19:16

Ros - just left a message for you on your Moby - you don't have any baby swimmers do you, just to borrow for Sunday?

rosmerta · 18/01/2008 19:21

OK foxie, just got your message, all I've got are swimming shorts which you'd need to use with a disposable swimming nappy. I do have some of the disposables as well, size L which I don't know if they'd be too big for Monti or not?

Only problem is ds has gone to bed and I'd have to root through his drawers to find them so I wouldn't be able to bring them tonight.

rosmerta · 18/01/2008 19:24

On the plus side I do have the Waterbabies dvd which I mentioned to you ages ago so will bring that for you!

sfxmum · 18/01/2008 19:27

foxie sorry only have disposables and my guess would be they are to big for ds2

fitfox · 18/01/2008 19:34

Oooh blimey - no idea if he is size S, M or L. He'd be about 12-18 months as he is a chubba

bunyanvillas · 18/01/2008 19:36

PC thanks for today, was great fun and dd now asleep, knackered! Hope you are tucking into a well deserved glass of vino (large). Ros & Foxie, hope you enjoy your posh swim -it's ironing in front of Eastenders for me tonight - but hopefully a takeaway from the Coffee Pot asap! Off now to check SJ's artclass link as really fancy it ...

stepfordwife · 18/01/2008 20:08

foxie..i've got a pair, but they're 18-24 months (think you may have given me them in a dd "handmedown" bag!)
think they may be too big as they still fit dd. but might be worth trying on the boy?
