OP posts:
stepfordwife · 16/01/2008 22:27

yes, SJ, a cross betwn tom cruise and john travolta

fitfox · 16/01/2008 22:28

Ros - brilliant - meet you there in reception at 8pm Friday then? You can park in the car park while you use the gym. Go into the hotel car park and there is a little sign pointing to cedars. You can drive round the back and they have their own car park

SJ99 · 16/01/2008 22:31

Ah yes, can see the John Travolta thing now

I thought it was pretty ridiculous but v. entertaining and amusing, shall watch again

sfxmum · 16/01/2008 22:35

did you say Richmond Hill Hotel? I had my wedding reception there, we also stayed the night in a gorgeous suite

we always meant to go back maybe on our 10th anniversary

SJ / Ros I was amused by Torchwood
I can appreciate pretty boys but does nothing for me. I do have a terrible fetish for hands particularly piano/ guitar playing hsnds, long fingers

stepfordwife · 16/01/2008 22:44

no, i don't do (snigger) pretty boys either, sfx
like his personality

sfxmum · 16/01/2008 23:00

right yes personally yes that is right exactly what one looks for in lust objects

stepfordwife · 16/01/2008 23:05

that and brains, of course, and lots of work for charidee....

sfxmum · 16/01/2008 23:12

LOL

on a separate subject am watching Newsnight and worried that I agree with Max Hastings on this Diana inquest business

slng · 17/01/2008 08:43

Went to see Lust Caution last night. Enjoyed very much. Anyone else seen it? Got home 12.30 ... am half asleep but have to go to work ...

Kew - I like hounslow urban farm piglet race! But their cafe does look a bit unappetising ...

Paddlechick666 · 17/01/2008 10:14

I live just near Hounslow Farm now - must go and visit.

Don't say anymore about TW, I recorded it. Was in heaven last night with Relocation and Grand Designs on!

I've started a new thread for tomorrow arvo here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/4136/458707?addwatch=1

sfxmum · 17/01/2008 10:23

good morning all

slng it sounds really good, last time I went to the cinema was for The hitchikers guie
since we started ging out alone after dd we have opted for a meal and chat.
miss cinema and theatre

paddle - I watched Grand designs last night while waiting for dh. My all time favourites are still the cabin in the woods, the welsh cottage on the secluded mountains and the house in Scotland overlooking the Loch all Gorgeous. but I don't watch it very often

was utterly disgusted by Damien Hirsts partner boat thing, some people do have far too much money

MrsRecycle · 17/01/2008 11:28

sfx - re your nipple - I had a a scab over mine with some minor puss discharge (see through colour) and that's why I was referred urgently to Breast Clinic. I would ask for a referral as they are pretty quick - saw Docs on Wednesday, was in the clinic the next week (Hillingdon Hospital). However, the symptons actually were unrelated to my diagnosis - there was nothing wrong with my nipple but by going for a referral a further problem was highlighted.

foxie - there is a beach in Barcelona but it was too cold to sit on it.

sfxmum · 17/01/2008 12:54

thanks mrsR the GP did not seem worried, no discharge of any sort but the thing has been there since November and it is bothering me

foxie I am someones role model

SJ99 · 17/01/2008 12:56

Hello all

Art class was success, DS made a calendar & did lots of painting and seemed to enjoy it, yay.

Tbh it wasn't anything that couldn't be done at home, but the woman running it did have a huge range of materials - paints, crayons, tissue papers & tons of little things for glueing. And of course no mess for the mums to clear up afterwards

It is also on Sat am so can send DH off there so I can go to gym

Slng - you went to cinema, glad you enjoyed it!

D'oh, forgot Grand Designs was on last night

Paddlechick666 · 17/01/2008 13:52

sj, i might take dd on saturday. she would love it and we're always a bit at a loose end on saturday mornings.

reckon DM would like to take her on a Thursday too.

just need to figure out how to get there!

fitfox · 17/01/2008 13:56

sfx - well your boobs are anyway (role models that is)

Lovely place to have a wedding reception

Did you get married at the Paradise Rd office then?

Ros - is your moby number still the same, just in case we need to make contact tomorrow?

Am I missed Torchwood

SJ99 · 17/01/2008 14:21

Paddle - great, will tell DH to look out for you guys The woman running it is really nice and gives aprons to kids and to mums, but I wouldn't wear anything new as it's all v.messy and DS kept trying to grab my arms (mums aprons don't cover sleeves!) There's tea and bics after painting

You can drive there as there a car park next to community centre. Took me 20mins to walk there this am. Alternatively you can get that 110 bus I took to yours but get off at Meadway.

Sfx - when's your 10yr anniversary then?

Kewcumber · 17/01/2008 14:31

I'm a bit tempted by Sat morning art too...

sfxmum · 17/01/2008 14:33

LOL at boobs as role models, they have never been called that before. yes it was Paradise road office, very nice too.
although reception sounds grand it was really a sit down lunch followed by drinks into the evening and big tree tear chocolate cake from Waitrose.

SJ we have been living together for 12yrs but only got married in 2002, our 6th anniversary is coming up in March.
the arts and crafts class sounds nice they do that at C&C sometimes, there is a potery cafe in Sheen I think but I have never tried it, guess dd would like it

Paddlechick666 · 17/01/2008 14:34

I think I'll try the bus to start with as don't think dd would stay in the buggy for the walk there.

Reckon I'd cycle when the weather improves a bit tho.

ooh exciting!

sfxmum · 17/01/2008 14:34

3 tier that is nothing to do with trees or tearing

SJ99 · 17/01/2008 15:48

Sfx - at tree tear

Art was good fun, have just stuck up DS's creations around the kitchen

rosmerta · 17/01/2008 20:42

evening all, our internet has been down all day so this is the first chance I've had to get on!

Sj, glad the art class went well, would like to try something like that but would prefer it to be a bit closer!

Sfx, lol @ tree tear! Have you suddenly turned Irish?!

Foxie, yep, mobile number still the same, so will see you there at 8pm. Am looking forward to it, will make sure I dig out posh looking cossie rather than the old one I usually wear!

bunyanvillas · 17/01/2008 21:15

SJ, where is the Sat morning art class, what time and how much? Does one have to pre-book? Sounds great!!!

SJ99 · 18/01/2008 09:10

Good morning all

Wet, wet, wet
Good job we're going swimmming this morning then

Bunyan - I posted a link on thread with art details, will re-post later if you can't see it as I'm about to dash out soon.
Best to call ahead and book a place, you can pay for 1 session £6 or pay £30 for 6 sessions which you can use anytime within 2mths. Have fun!
