Out and about in town last night with DH . How bustling London is after dark! But couldn't hack it and got back quite early.

Have a stinking cold and cough. Lemsip is amazing though, even if 20 days past use by date... (Am I poisoning myself?)

I am not really sure where I am at lately finding weekends hideously stressful not sure how this is going to work out, all a bit too much at the moment

My head hurts every time I cough. Time for more lemsip. But probably wait for the whisky to go down first.

Hope everyone well. Not been online much as RL been extremely hectic. At a loss what to do about neighbour Have DH's 40th tomorrow and DS2 birthday party this wkend to look forward to though, both boys are v. excited!

Are we planning another meet up? Before or after Christmas (I would prefer after aside from cinema trip!)

Well done on fitness drive sfx, I've started going to the zumba classes properly now and feeling much better for it, though I'm sure doesn't counterbalance my winter hearty eating thing that seems to have taken over...

The whole deer thing is . Apparently happens quite frequently; feel for owner but it's good thing the cars were going slowly enough to avoid the herd stampede...

Loving masterchef (despite obvious french = fine dining bias) and has inspired me to cook a bit more exciting stuff. Did scallops and chorizo the other day and DH said, "this is actually really nice". That "actually" was loaded with meaning methinks...

Just been to parents' evening. No nasty surprises. Phew!

No talk of school shutting on Wednesday.

We had tinned mackerel last dinner - actually very nice Japanese dish calling for fresh mackerel/deboning/scraping-off skin etc but in a moment of inspiration I remembered tinned mackerel. Turned out very nice indeed.

Tonight tinned crab. I think.

Unfortunately I never get inspired by masterchef. I get more inspired by ready steady cook though I hardly watch it any more. In fact is it still on?
