Hello

Just popping in and saw thread already full up! The craziness of November is well and truly under way. Sorry I'm behind on your news, hope everyone is well.

The scarf video, I thought she was going to hang herself for the final tie Grin

Still undecided about floor, have got loads of samples ordered. I want a fresh, modern look whereas Dh wants more clinical, utlitarian (sp?) look, need to find something that we both like Hmm

Sfx - Shock didn't realise it was that much more expensive. We were really happy with campsite but it was a huge trek to car with all gear, that's why we wanted to do camping plus to save us all that hassle Hmm

Sold our microwave and dishwasher at wkend but waiting for people to collect

DS1 seems under the weather with mild temp this wkend, he was up last night and has been mostly fine all day but suddenly wiped out at bedtime. maybe we won't be going back to school after all...

Sfx - just spoke to Dh about camping plus and he is keen to pay the extra as he said it saves him doing all that lugging over the hills Grin Do you know anyone who has been, is it worth the extra cash?

Good luck for your Dh's new job

Vbus I think that is a good reason they have 4 different camping plus sites with same amenities but at different distances from the arena, I think they are letting go of boutique camping and doing extra camping plus, we might yet do it but can't yet purchase the tickets, another couple of months I think

hope ds1 feels ok by morning

tillyfernackerpants · 19/02/2012 21:45

vbus, hope ds1 feels better for tomorrow

Copper, I don't think I've ever seen the stars so bright in London before. Ds1 was really taken with it!

We had a lovely time in Paris, dses especially. We did miss the ferry on the way back though, but fortunately could get on another one a little bit later. One advantage to travelling v late Grin

vbus · 20/02/2012 11:52

Tilly - glad you had great trip, lucky you managed to get on the next ferry Grin

DS1 seems ok, not great but not ill enough to be off school. Not sure we'll go to gym after school though, we may just come straight home

Hello!

Nondescript day so far (and that's very good). Kids to school, work, kids home, beef stew on the hob, fresh oat and apple bread to dip in. Everyone has a cold/cough, but everyone still functioning.

sfxmum · 20/02/2012 17:25

tilly glad you had a nice time, I miss Paris, oops about the boat Smile

although going there now would probably just depress me, but I digress

spent a pleasant day with dd going about shopping and running errands, decided against KewG in the end on account of the freezing weather

UptoapointLordCopper · 20/02/2012 17:49

Paris I can take or leave. It's OK, and the Chinatown there is interesting, but London is the town for me. Grin Perhaps we'll do a trip to Belgium at some point though. Ghent, maybe. Much nicer food.

UptoapointLordCopper · 20/02/2012 17:49

sfx - have you used the leaven yet? We used it for a rolled oat and apple loaf. It's so nice.

sfxmum · 20/02/2012 18:21

copper I will try to use it this week, last week had very stressful days and I just did not have the presence of mind to be honest, was thinking of doing something with olives

I like walking in Paris. I really would like to go to Nordic countries, have been bothering vbus about it for years Grin but I think I will have to be working and buy the tickets myself and probably go by myself (with dd) for that matter

UptoapointLordCopper · 20/02/2012 18:49

I was planning to do a green olives and thyme loaf but forgot that the olives had already been eaten. Need more olives.

May do a plain sourdough at some point too. But the current winner is the apple loaf. Such nice thin crispy crust and nice soft inside. Kids ate half the loaf already on their own. Have 4 more apples left so two more loaves. Grin

vbus · 21/02/2012 10:53

Copper - sounds tasty!

Sfx - I'll join you on Nordic adventure Grin you should go, you'd love it. Keen to take DS1 back at some point to show him where he was born, plus we still have some good friends out there to visit

Been to gym. Not sure if I'm not getting DS1 bug now, my tummy aches, boo

Anyway won't stop me flipping a pancake or twoWink

UptoapointLordCopper · 21/02/2012 11:10

Pancakes. Yum.

UptoapointLordCopper · 21/02/2012 11:13

Is one supposed to eat pancakes today? Hmm. We'll leave it for the weekend.

Kewcumber · 21/02/2012 12:18

Chicken in cheese sauce pancakes for us today as DS doesn't eat sweet ones except chocolate and he had those for breakfast Blush

sfxmum · 21/02/2012 13:22

KewC that probably means you woke up early Grin dd asked for blueberry pancakes for breakfast but we were very short for time having woken up late with dd awake during the night and so on

pancakes shall be had after dh comes home he is the flipper extraordinaire

vbus yes yes
sorry about bugs, I definitely have a cough, went for an interval session that turned out to be very rubbish, partly because I programmed it wrong and partly because I kept coughing
will do an exercise video later while dd is let loose on my laptop, yesterday I noticed too late that she had sent a rather rude email to her uncle
'you keep talking about your work you bore me' Blush

anyway Hmm

UptoapointLordCopper · 21/02/2012 13:37

Grin at minisfx.

I admit to "proofreading" DSs emails... But they need to learn how to type. They are too slow.

vbus · 21/02/2012 16:09

Sfx - nothing wrong with telling it how it is Grin

DS2 had some friends over for lunch for pancake party which was a success, we had a variety of fillings finishing with chocolate and fruits yum. I made a huge batch so DS1 & DH can have some later and I am going to watch the Brits

tillyfernackerpants · 21/02/2012 16:37

I'm teaching tonight so pancake day delayed until the weekend!!

UptoapointLordCopper · 21/02/2012 17:24

Our window shattered when I shut it. Shock

Anyone knows any good repair/replacement place!?

sfxmum · 21/02/2012 17:32

car window? not that I know anyone but heck!

husband on way home for pancake duty

UptoapointLordCopper · 21/02/2012 17:41

Not car window. Upstairs window. Cracked rather than shattered. But NOT GOOD.

vbus · 21/02/2012 18:59

Copper - eek Shock A freind just got hers replaced and I know she did a lot of research re: quality/price do you want me to find out who she used? At least warmer weather on it's way

Dc asleep by 6.45pm today - DS2 shattered after playdate and DS1 was exhausted, must still be recovering

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 21/02/2012 19:25

vbus - only if it's not too much trouble. I've phoned Anglian to come and give a quote tomorrow. But will phone other local companies too.

UptoapointLordCopper · 22/02/2012 11:22

It's all about glaziers this morning. Tired of it now.

And the hoover bag is full and being paranoid I actually emptied it when cleaner was done. And I found the compass in it (the one you use to draw circles, not the one for finding direction). And pieces of magnet and Lego. But the compass!? Hmm Disappointed not to find a go-go piece though. Where can that be?

Yes this is how bored I am.
