Hello

Just popping in and saw thread already full up! The craziness of November is well and truly under way. Sorry I'm behind on your news, hope everyone is well.

The scarf video, I thought she was going to hang herself for the final tie Grin

Still undecided about floor, have got loads of samples ordered. I want a fresh, modern look whereas Dh wants more clinical, utlitarian (sp?) look, need to find something that we both like Hmm

I wish I had time to be bored Sad Am so busy right now I barely have time to MN let alone read books or bake cakes.

Hope everyone is ok, will try and catch up next time I have some spare time!

UptoapointLordCopper · 13/01/2012 19:13

Being bored is a state of mind. I can be rushed off my feet and still be bored, or I can be doing nothing and not be bored.

Here endeth bored philosophical musing. Hmm

Party tomorrow for DS1. How did eight years go by just like that? Shock

sfxmum · 13/01/2012 19:14

Hi Tilly hope you are coming next night out

well it has improved but the rule of no alcohol and no puddings is limiting the chances for easy gratification - bugger Grin

Kora · 13/01/2012 19:15

Wow, it's a cake frenzy! Feeling ravenous after reading this. Hope people get a chance to rest this weekend.

I have a little bit of news, not that exciting, but kind of miraculous for me - after many many years of avoidance and general lack of skill on my part, I have finally passed my driving test! [proud emoticon] Smile

vbus · 13/01/2012 19:22

Kora - congratulations, well done Smile You must feel a real sense of achievement

Tilly - hello, sope to see you soon!

Sfx - hope boredom has been relieved. Why no Wine and cakes, is this detox or all part of training plan? Hope you are being disciplined!

Copper - Happy birthday to your DS1, hope party goes well

Such a lovely day today, spent as much of it outside as possible. Have to pysche msyelf up for zumba tomorrow morning. I haven't been since summer I know I'm going to find it tough Hmm But required due to all cookies and cakes

Congratulations Kora!!

In theory I am coming on the night out, must check the date & let dh know

sfxmum · 13/01/2012 20:00

Kora - fantastic Smile I do not drive

vbus - enjoy Zumba, would be be able to meet up for cinema at some point? really keen on those we discussed particularly that one you know nod nod wink winkGrin

vbus - it is because I am huge, terribly slow now because my arse takes sometime to catch up with my boobs as I plod along Blush it all wobbles
I am being disciplined (or anti social as Kewcumber temptress)
plan on getting up tomorrow and go for 3 miles before breakfast and before taking dd to music class.
some running on Sunday would be nice too, Monday will likely pop to hospital for the x-rays and maybe go for a swim

Boredom mostly due to study, going through databases of articles, laws and white papers is not my idea of fun, still have some work to do tonight to be on top of my timetable

Kewcumber · 13/01/2012 20:41

Fantastic Kora well done - I feel it is on a par with my learning to ride this year. Somehow it feels like more of an achievement when one is almost geriatric (me obviously not you!)

UptoapointLordCopper · 14/01/2012 09:40

Good morning!

Well done Kora! Where are you driving to next?

Must go and cook things.

sfxmum · 14/01/2012 23:10

UptoapointLordCopper · 15/01/2012 13:01

Good morning! Or is it still morning?

Choc fridge cake went down a treat. Only tiny bit left. Shock Secret ingredient = Waitrose plain dark chocolate. Best chocolate in the world. Smile

Leftovers for lunch.

vbus · 15/01/2012 13:52

Tilly - do you want to meet at Kidzone 1pm ish on Weds so the boys can play?

Sfx - yes to MrF, will email so we can sort out details

Not doing anything much today so tired, DH & neighbour are replacing all fence panels which got damaged in storm last week. Will make date pudding later. Went to see the Iron Lady last night, pretty good film

Kewcumber · 15/01/2012 15:19

I can come your way if necessary or somewhere easy for both to get to.

tillyfernackerpants · 15/01/2012 15:45

Copper, its called Tiny Ballers, run by the Children's Centre in a church hall, 50p a session Grin

vbus · 15/01/2012 18:25

Tilly - what time does it start? Can we come to that?

UptoapointLordCopper · 16/01/2012 09:42

Good morning!

Having a snack of leftover cheese and crackers and choc fridge cake before ploughing on with boring boring boring laundry and work.

Did anyone watch Sherlock last night? Grin

No more sherlock for a while. Next week the birdsong. Which I don't intend to watch. Opportunity to read all my unread books ...

sfxmum · 16/01/2012 09:59

loved Sherlock all of it amusing ans interesting re workings of the books, I still prefer the middle episode The Hounds although I know most people like the naked woman

vbus · 16/01/2012 10:13

Didn't watch that but did see the Hungry Boys, they really were going hungry Grin

Sfx- good luck, hope all goes well

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 16/01/2012 17:42

Re: Sherlock, I like all the episodes. Particularly the last one where Watson was outraged at being described as "confirmed bachelor". Grin

What is the Hungry Boys?

Speaking of boys, they've been driving me up the wall bickering about who has done more of what (eg tidying up). I have threatened to not do their laundry if I hear that again. Why should I do their laundry?? Honestly.

But they ate the waterzooi I cooked, celeriac and all. Shock

Kewcumber · 17/01/2012 14:09

Have had an offer accepted on a house. SO back to the previous big question - to name change or not?
