Hello

Just popping in and saw thread already full up! The craziness of November is well and truly under way. Sorry I'm behind on your news, hope everyone is well.

The scarf video, I thought she was going to hang herself for the final tie Grin

Still undecided about floor, have got loads of samples ordered. I want a fresh, modern look whereas Dh wants more clinical, utlitarian (sp?) look, need to find something that we both like Hmm

Hello all

Copper - glad you're having a fab holiday and fitting in lots of shopping!

Sfx - good luck with CV and hope you feel better soon

Kora - not sure the fretting ever stops, just varying degrees of it and different issues to deal with Grin Glad you enjoyed nativity, we had ours yesterday, very sweet!

Kew - we went for wood floor in the end as couldn't have the vinyl without incurring considerable more expenditure. I love it. In fact, although builders not quite finished kitchen, they say we can move into it tomorrow We'll be busy unpacking everything out of loft all wkend, hoping to squeeze in a few mince pies along the way & put tree up at some point HmmSmile

Wishing everyone nice wkend

tillyferTINSELpants · 16/12/2011 22:03

Sfx, hope you feel better soon. I also (still) have the lurgy, am meant to be out tomorrow night, just hope I can make it for a little while at least.

Ds1 finished school today, yay, we've had a lovely film night watching A Muppet's Christmas Carol Xmas Grin

Kora, vbus is right, the worries may change but they are always there!!

Vbus, how exciting your kitchen is nearly finished!! How has the in-laws visit been?

copper, am v Xmas Envy of the book shopping, glad you're having a nice time

Kewcumber · 18/12/2011 20:19

Talking of muppets - I'm such a muppet. Whinging to my mum about how impossibly tired I have been yesterday a fairly basic thought occured to me and checked my diary - YUP - haven't had a B12 shot in over 4 months (supposed to be 3-monthly) so I am probably pretty anaemic. As if the tiredness wasn;t enough of a sign, I have had a peppery tasts in my mouth for ages (classic sign for me) and of course there was the little sign of the diary entry "Book B12 jab"!

How can someone who relies on 3 monthly B12 jabs for life to stay alive healthy, just forget Confused

Its official I am a muppet.

Emergency appt tomorrow hopefully.

sfxmum · 20/12/2011 11:18

are you topped up again KewC? isn't it the 2nd time this sort of thing happened? tut tut missus

had very nice evening yesterday, dd had a sleep over, only because today is the last day of term, we are all tired, pasta dinner and early bed for all I think

vbus · 20/12/2011 14:09

Kew - Shock hope your fully injected now just in time for christmas!

Sfx - bet Dd had fun!

Tilly -hope you feel better soon. IL's visit was hard work but they enjoyed themselves

Final kingston sesh and now i'm done with all shopping, exhausted. Have 10 boxes staring at me waiting to unpack in kitchen, I guess there is no rush Hmm Grin

Kewcumber · 20/12/2011 14:36

haven't been this late before sfx (yes tut tut though) just been for a jab so should feel a bit better in a couple of days. Hurrah!

How's the kitchen vbus?

sfxmum · 20/12/2011 17:30

vbus hurrah for kitchen, and dd loved it (not the first) she jumped on my bed just before 7, friends leaving for airport shortly afterwards, I had left her with dh until 8 when I finally dragged myself out of bed.
dd now plotting next sleepover

sfxmum · 20/12/2011 17:30

and KewC hope you start feeling better son

Kora · 20/12/2011 21:20

KewC - hope you're feeling better!

Vbus - hooray for new kitchen - if you've survived without the boxes for a little while, they can wait until after you've had a few mince pies...

Sfx - hope you get a proper lie-in soon! I still envy the guy on the premier inn advert who throws himself luxuriously onto a bed to sleep. I could sleep for days I think. But no-one will let me, ah well Xmas Grin Great that DD enjoyed her sleepover.

In case I don't get back on to mnet for a bit, have a fantastic Christmas holiday everyone!! Xmas Smile

sfxmum · 22/12/2011 22:31

We had 2 xmas parties today, typically they both fell on same day but thankfully both were very enjoyable and kids had lots of fun. Just finished wrapping all pressies, what a marathon session that was, at least it means I can relax tomorrow night - although I'm sure there are a million other jobs that will need doing by then Xmas Hmm Going to theatre tomorrow, can't wait

wishing everyone a great christmas Xmas Smile

Hello all

Hope everyone well and suitably stuffed Xmas Grin

Hello Steppie Smile

We had a relaxing fun Christmas, much needed after stresses of past few months. Kids really enjoyed it, managed to fit in a nice long walk yesterday, and we finally put DS2 in his own bed which he loves.

Not sure of plans today, see how it goes

vbus · 28/12/2011 17:53

Sfx - how is DD feeling now? All food/books sound yummy. Well done for going for a run, I cannot even think of exercise for time being Hmm

Not much done today, lots of tv/films, DS2 spent most of last night throwing up Sad One way to christen his new bed. Hoping he'll have a good night's sleep tonight and get rid of bug

OP posts:
sfxmum · 28/12/2011 18:19

Vbus she is much better thanks but still being careful not to make things worst

Hope ds feels better soon, poor boy, away with nasty bugs

regarding running my plan is to go for at least a couple of miles everyday until new new year, after next essay in on the 5th I will start in a proper training programme. I is the only way I can feel ok about the scandalous over indulgence Grin

tillyferTINSELpants · 28/12/2011 19:08

Hi all, glad everyone seemed to have a lovely Christmas, hope poorly dcs are feeling better

We had a quiet one but it was very nice, just the 4 of us, had a walk in Kew Gardens on Boxing Day and then to ILs yesterday which was chaotic but fun! Dses have gone up to my parents today so house is very quiet now

sfxmum · 29/12/2011 10:02

I miss Kew Gardens might drag the troops there tomorrow
We mean to go over to town at some point but will avoid New Years Eve
tilly nice to have quiet Grin enjoy
vbus hope DS had a better night

vbus · 29/12/2011 14:04

Dh took boys to Kew last Sat so I could sort out kitchen but unfortunately it was closed! They ended up at Bushy doing more den building. Must try and get to Kew also, haven't been for ages.

Tilly - enjoy the quiet Envy Smile
Sfx - glad dd better, and good luck with training programme and essay, enough to take your mind off mince pies! DS2 on the mend and able to hold his food down so far today

Going to watch Wizard of Oz later. I told DS1 that I watched it when I was 5 and loved it so much I cried when it was finished. He said it's ok mummy you didn't need to be sad, you could just get it out on DVD and watch it again. I explained that they didn't have dvd's back then, he replied 'why was that, did you watch it the olden days?' Shock Grin

OP posts:
sfxmum · 30/12/2011 15:24

So do tell what wild parties you have planned for tomorrow ? Grin
Somehow I have a bottle of pink fizz guess that will do
Off to cinema to watch Arthur

UptoapointLordCopper · 31/12/2011 09:24

Good morning!

Arrived home last night. DS2's wobbly tooth fell out in the plane. He spent much time speculating on the size of the tooth fairy.

Now to sort out luggage. New books stack up to 3 feet. Where to put them!?

Hope everyone is well!
