[SFX [bugrin] at your confused bunny! I have gone up two sizes since we moved over here [busad]

Do woodcraft folk do festivals? - always thought they sounded really good but didn't know anyone I could go with [bublush] and closest was Ealing

FGS can one of you please go along and then I can find out by proxy what its all about at Woodcraft Folk?!!

dustythedolphin · 24/04/2011 21:19

sorry that is a sceptical bunny, rather than a confused bunny...

UptoapointLordCopper · 24/04/2011 21:34

Dusty - calm down. Will go and report back. [bugrin]

We have Tuesday off too. Shall have to find something to do that one can't do usually.

sfxmum · 24/04/2011 21:38

it was pretty confused, it was the extra u that did it
dusty winter always makes a person a eat more fattening stuff I think

are there any wedding celebration street parties where you are? heard there had been numerous requests to councils across the landHmm

I think they thought the weather would keep

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 24/04/2011 21:38

copper - think you are behind the times - no such thing as boy scouts any more - tehy are scouts and are inclusive. EVen changed their vow to a generic God rather than christian god (though not helpful for BUddhists or atheists I guess)

UptoapointLordCopper · 24/04/2011 22:02

No wedding celebrations here. I hope.

The last time I paid any attention to uniformed groups such as scouts was 30 years ago so no doubt a bit behind the times. Decided then it was not my cup of tea and have not changed my mind.

DSs school, despite being secular, do prayers to a generic god too. [buhmm] DS2 seems to think it's hilarious. [buhmm] [buhmm]

Kewcumber · 25/04/2011 01:15

wedding? Is someone getting married?

sfxmum · 25/04/2011 09:54

sunny bank holiday[bushock]

copper not heard about prayers at school, not yet anyway but afaik it is common in state schools

OP posts:
sfxmum · 25/04/2011 09:56

the thing about the wedding came about because I was talking to a Canadian who will be covering it for a station, think online channel, not sure
I told her I thought the people around her would probably be tourists, she will be somewhere along the route for 7hrs Shock and she is not the main anchor/ reporter

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 25/04/2011 10:01

Good morning!

Awake since 5am. [bushock]

Kew - somebody is getting married. Don't tell me you haven't heard. Lucky you!

UptoapointLordCopper · 25/04/2011 10:02

I thought they say tourists avoid coming here on these sorts of occasions? I bloody would.

sfxmum · 25/04/2011 10:09

dd was up shortly after 7 that is the earliest in quite a while, crack of dawn for us really
waiting for dh to come back from his long run, probably the last long one before his half marathon in 2 weeks
then I can go out for a bit and do a couple of milesHmm

UptoapointLordCopper · 26/04/2011 09:06

Good morning!

Inset day today. Hmm Planning to go to Bushy Park. But work interferes - you wait months and months for a response and then they want you to deal with it over f**king Easter weekend. I hate bureaucrats. Bastards. Angry I keep thinking about quiting these days. Or to do a deliberately bad job. Have never tried that but might just be liberating. Angry

Harrumph.

Also can't seem to buy yellow food colouring. Why? All sold out for Easter??

sfxmum · 26/04/2011 10:58

hello

can't help with yellow no idea
bureaucrats being bureaucratic you say? amazing
I hope it sorts itself out

today all sort of back to normal, sort of

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 26/04/2011 15:38

Hello!

Been to Bushy Park and Boston Manor Park. Not as warm as it looks!

Big Sainsbury, Tesco and Waitrose all run out of yellow food colouring. Got black instead. Apparently adequate substitute for yellow. Hmm (It's only playdough we are trying to make. Grin)

sfxmum · 26/04/2011 16:33

I currently have 2 extra little girls skipping and screeching about the place, when is bedtime?

dd said she wants to watch the wedding on telly because people at school will be watching it tooHmm she even asked about making it a partyShock

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 26/04/2011 17:12

Went to lunch at Imperial China in Teddington. The side streets have buntings, and some of the little flags have pictures of the happy couple. It's a wonder I managed to eat my lunch.

UptoapointLordCopper · 26/04/2011 20:22

[chmm]

sfxmum · 26/04/2011 20:36

LOL well it is a national occasion I suppose

OP posts:
sfxmum · 27/04/2011 12:40

stuck indoors in on a beautiful day but so much to do course wise, these holidays and long weekends are lovely but not very helpful

in-laws arrive in 2 weeksShock
but it might all change, dh's uncle is quite poorly in hospital, I hope he recovers, rather like him

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 27/04/2011 21:14

Hi!

Nice sunny day. Bit chilly in the wind though. Kids have royal wedding party lunch and royal wedding mufti day. Can dress as bride/groom/bridesmaid/pageboy. Hmm Hmm Or just red blue and white. Phew!

sfxmum · 28/04/2011 12:27

yawn - why is there no emoticon for this on a parenting website?

OP posts:
UptoapointLordCopper · 28/04/2011 18:14

sfx - that's because parenting is the most exciting thing ever and it's impossible you should find the need to yawn. Grin

Went swimming. After years of slow progress it's finally tweaked with DS1 what swimming actually means. Smile

Cured some bacon! Shock Shock It's actually very nice.

UptoapointLordCopper · 29/04/2011 13:13

Is it over yet? Is it safe to put the telly on again?

Kewcumber · 30/04/2011 12:21

we have been in Majorca (bad mother alert) but it was for my nephews 21st and sister paid (scrounger alert) and we had a fab time so I can't be too sorry. I thought the wedding was today though - am I th eonly person in the country surprised to see it on TV (in Majorca) yesterday? I thought maybe it was the time difference.
