I think there is a film, but a friend described it to me and it didn't sound the same.

No - having read the film's storyline it's nothing like the book. Book is good for discussing what heroism is with a 6yo.

Am now relaxing with a bailey's while ds1 watches Toy Story 3 (as he has done every day since we've been here!)

We walked to the pub. Pavements still pretty icy.

most service stations were worst than the roads too, very ice and slippery

can you believe we saw a car going from the slow lane all the way across to the fast lane and back again, all this in heavy traffic I hate cars and motorways and stupid people

We planned to be there but are here ... got stuck in Dublin airport for 12 hours on 23rd when flight got delayed and eventually cancelled, then had to dig car out of snow at midnight in the airport car park!The snow in Dublin was the heaviest I can remember seeing - opaque white with no "spaces" between the flakes and about 12" fell while we were in the airport

Agree about roads and snow and drivers - saw a car straddled/abandoned across the fast lane on the motorway

Lots of great telly on though wasn't there :)? Love all the kids stuff on at Christmas

I have enjoyed the frosty weather, looks so lovely, let us see what January has in store

haven't watched festive telly at all some iplayer action over the next few days I think

Yes we missed visit to extended family in Uk but thankfully we can get everything (except the petrol to Dublin) refunded so will rescehdule a visit for another time
