I keep seeing 'emigrating to Oz' and 'have left Oz' threads and I can't keep up with who's here and who's coming here and who's gone. And I only see about 4 of us posting too [stern looks all round].

So can we have a roll-call so I can see what's what?

Me - Arfishy. Sydney 3 years, DD - 5, DSS 17, DSS 23.

I'm coming out to Sydney in the last fortnight of June. First trip with DD so have 40 zillion family obligations plus some practical stuff (need to find a serviced office so DH can hit the ground running in the Spring) but I am going to meet up with Brightongirl. Would love it if everyone else was getting together too.

I would love to. I hate to be difficult but I won't have access to a car so I would really prefer to stay around Balmain or the city.

Actually I've just thought, my mum has a car seat so I may be able to borrow hers if she can get a lift to work with my dad.

Is it bad that I bought my first item of Boden online last night with the thought of a MN meetup tickling the back of my brain?

I have just realised that NeuroticLady, the one who had terrible PND, is also somewhere in the northern suburbs. Does somebody who hasn't been too disorganised to get the CAT feature want to invite her?

She's a terribly displaced expat and was suffering awfully on the PND thread, so she might welcome an outing.

I'm in and have posted on the meet up thread. I also don't have CAT. Never seemed quite worth it out here. I remember NeuroticLady, let's try to track her down.

LOL at Boden . I didn't realise Johnny B shipped internationally. I did try to get something trendy shipped from TopShop once but they cancelled my order on the basis that I was clearly a dodgy type with a UK debit card and Australian address. DD does have some very English looking outfits from Boden shipped courtesy of Grandma.

I am a kiwi possibly the only one without uk connections, living in CHCH. MrsJC would make wonderful Tsarina btw.

Hi, lula here. Still trying to sell house, and we may be a little delayed in our travel, but can't wait to come. DD has to have operation on dodgy thumb in July,so will have to see how things go.

No, you're right Eids, I've not seen her around much recently. Although I've not been on so much either, so we might have missed each other.

I met ghosty at a play centre on Monday with wilbs, it was a micro mini meet up!

I think that ghosty is just a bit busy these days but I will fb her and tell her that she is missed!!

Been busy fight giant spiders ... it's a tough job but someone's gotta do it ...

Seriously though, I banned myself from MN as my children were starving and going feral. I realised one day that I needed to wean myself off when I looked around my office and saw both children had moved most of their toys in here and were playing on the floor.
So now my house is in order, the children are well fed, I have made some RL friends, and am actually earning money so I won't stay on for long

PS: I live in Melbourne, have 1 DS (aged 8) and one DD (aged 4) and a DH (aged 36). Have lived here for just over a year and came here from NZ where we lived for 5 years. Prior to that we lived in Surrey.

Oh, by the way ... did I tell any of you that I had a friggin tick use me as a host a few weeks ago? I'll post a pic on my profile ....
