STATS THREAD FOR THOSE IN OR MOVING TO AUSTRALIA

MrsBigD · 05/09/2006 14:01

As I'm useless trawling through threads and remembering who's who... here's a stat thread to summarise everybody

SYDNEY

Arfishymeau

kids: 1 permanent DD of 3.8, 2 x DSS of 20 & 15 (hols as at Uni/Secondary school in UK. Hoping they'll transfer)

MrsBigD

uhoh... UK/Aussie houseswap now that would be a title/topic for a real live TV series

mum26plus · 06/11/2006 23:54

Hi everyone, yeah having 7 kids doesn't leave us enough for the movies, hence the only entertainment we get results in more kids besides that sort of fun means centrelink (gov'ment) can't say we spend money on entertainment. The joys of living where we do, it's cheap and 30 acres means lots of home fun, currently have budding Robin Hoods, David Beckhams and a symphony orchestra/rock band lol.

MrsBojangles · 07/11/2006 14:57

but where do you take the energy from for 'that kind of entertainment'?

mum26plus · 08/11/2006 08:21

LMAO somewhere between the hours of 2 and 6am after 3 hours sleep and managing another 1 before it's time to hit the floor running

MrsBigD · 06/01/2008 17:56

Now that we've booked our flights - yippieh! 'worry' yippieh! 'worry' LOL can't make up my mind about my current state of mind...

I thought I'll revive this old thread of mine...

any takers?

Our first stop in Sydney will be camping out at friends' place in Kirribili - not the place we'll probably end up in the long term but a base to start from

neuroticlady · 12/01/2008 17:45

Hooray, what a great thread (that I have thus far managed to totally miss)

Please add me to the Sydney list!

neuroticlady
Sydney, northern beaches, been here since 2001.
Lived in London before that.
First bub due anytime
Am missing family at this time but mumsnet helps!

I am the one who always adds my name in nerdily keen fashion to any threads that suggest a Sydney meet up (and alcohol, though sadly that's off limits temporarily)

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! Bit hot here at the mo, innit? Or is it just me and the bump...?

MrsBigD · 13/01/2008 16:25

the thread has been dormant for a while...

shall endeavour to sometime this week compile a new list on here, but no promises... in the throws of working lots to get extra money in and organising our move to Aus in May..

neuroticlady... tried to cat you but you don't like that

Where in the northern beaches are you if I may ask? still trying to decide where exactly we will be moving to. Have a couple of weeks with friends in Kiribilli but that's not an area for families with young kids as far as I can tell

I'll be up for meet ups once we're there! which will be in May this year...

OP posts:
elvisgirl · 14/01/2008 02:54
