hi - back from my holidays in Noosa and catching up with the threads...great list MrsBigD!

PeppaPigsMum
Northern Beaches, Sydney since May (previously in Melbourne for 7 months)
1 dd - 2.5 yrs
on a long-term business visa - dp working, i'm a SAHM at the moment. still deciding whether we'd like to stay or not (agree its a fantastic lifestyle, but miss everyone in the UK)...

looking forward to a meet-up - will reply on relevant thread when i've got a sec!

eidsvold · 10/09/2006 09:11

what did you think of Noosa??

PeppaPigsMum · 10/09/2006 11:39

lovely, but expensive accommodation close to town. had a really relaxing time. and its very warm compared to Sydney at the moment, particularly the evenings - DD didn't wear shoes the whole week. i can see why people settle on the Queensland coast - amazing beaches, great climate.

have the holiday blues now - its rained non-stop since we touched down in Sydney yesterday and dp is back to work tomorrow .

tangox3 · 10/09/2006 22:01

AND the cat

sunnydelight · 11/09/2006 10:16

The penny dropped with DS2 last night re. our cat and the predictable hysterics followed so I have had to promise to look into bringing him. BUGGER, BUGGER, BUGGER!!!

MrsBigD · 11/09/2006 12:40

A little update and sympathies for cat induced hysterics. Thankfully we have hamsters and are hoping they will die of old age before we move... and dd is really looking forward to getting 2 cats once we've moved to AUS

SUNNYD Got a nice man (i hope) coming wednesday to prepare another quote for moving our stuff and the CAT. If the cat thing works out the most expensive well then the cat is def BUGGERED![SAD]

I really don't want to bring the cat conversation to the new thread - there are limits If you find a way of transporting cats tribeoffive I would be very grateful for the info. BTW have you got any further with a decision about where to live? I'll probably check out St. Ives in November (mainly because of what Bloss has said about schools), but realistically we might have to go nearer to the train line.

sunnydelight · 11/09/2006 19:57

That should of course have read a CHEAP way of transporting cats!!!!!!

Mogwai and Mr Mogwai moving to sydney for 12 months January 07 with 18 month old DD

Mr Mogwai working in Randwick. Mrs Mogwai possibly lady of leisure, possibly working.

Addicted to Domain.com.au, worried about "unfurnished" and considering eastern suburbs so Mr Mogwai can be near to work
