Wishing you all the very best for today.

I am so pleased to read of the much better treatment you are receiving now.

notapizzaeater · 06/07/2023 10:00

Can you ask them for a fan to blow the air in from the small opening
?

Not ideal being in pain for the scans but hopefully these will give more ideas about going forward.

Ironically when my DH had cancer we had private cover but the nhs offered the exact same options.

Fingers crossed you get the surgery today, the quicker they get it in the quicker you will feel better and it should open up the treatment options.

Jusmakingit · 06/07/2023 10:00

I’m so happy you’re in such good hands and sounds like they aren’t wasting time and doing everything they can. Keep resting ❤️ keep fighting 💪🏼 we are all with you, I look on the thread constantly to check how you’re getting on so it’s lovely to hear . Your husband is a rare one of the world ❤️❤️

Gingerbreadandtea · 06/07/2023 10:01

Wishing you all the very best today Pamela, will be thinking of you and praying for you xxx

Pansypotter123 · 06/07/2023 10:01

I'm overwhelmed by your update - tears of relief that you're finally making progress with a treatment plan, and tears at your fortitude and stoicism. And Kerr's. As you say, focus on the now...... I hope you can have the stent fitted today xxxxx 💕

Lostatsea10 · 06/07/2023 10:03

Good luck today. You have done so well to get here. Wishing you lots of love and positivity x

Whyisitdarkalready · 06/07/2023 10:03

I haven't posted before but have followed your journey. Wishing you all the luck in the world for your time in London. I can't even begin to imagine what you and your beautiful family are going through. Take care xxx

ticktock19 · 06/07/2023 10:03

I think I feel along the same lines as Kerr does this morning, I'm so relieved that you're getting such wonderful care and attention now as you deserve it so much. Just simple care like the drips will make the world of difference. Will be thinking of you all day and sending love and positive thoughts to you all xxx
PS - I completely understand your op fears, I managed to badly break my arm last year and needed a big op to reset it all, I was terrified as hadn't had an op before but I was so well looked after and it all went well. You are in the absolute best hands you could be and they will take the very best care of you xx

CarteBlanch · 06/07/2023 10:05

Wishing you the best for the operation, we're all still here holding your hand ❤️

Shadesofscarlett · 06/07/2023 10:05

Just another person checking in - have been reading and rooting for you over the previous threads. You have the might of Mumsnet behind you cheering you on.

EdieLedwell · 06/07/2023 10:07

Amazing update! I'm so happy for you all. It must be wonderful to be in such safe, compassionate and competent hands.

You are a mighty woman Pamela

Anne ❤️

herbaceous · 06/07/2023 10:08

I'm welling up with relief that you're finally being treated the way you deserve. The operation will be a breeze compared to everything you've been through already!

OUTRAGEOUS that your current treatment isn't the norm.

MonkeypuzzleClimber · 06/07/2023 10:10

Think of you from here in East London. UCLH is an excellent Hospital. My sister and I both spent the first months of our lives there, and the excellent staff have saved the live of one of my best friends several times. Only ever heard good things from friends treated there. You really are in the best place. All my best wishes for the next few days ❤️

ThatSunCreamSmell · 06/07/2023 10:11

It was great to read a more positive update. Thinking of you today!xx

Hotpinkangel19 · 06/07/2023 10:12

I've been quietly following your thread and I'm so relieved you made it to London. I wish you all the luck in the world x

uncomfortablydumb53 · 06/07/2023 10:12

Just giving you my hand to squeeze in case you're worried about your operation
I'm in awe of your stoicism and positivity fighting against the strong tide
I'm sure Kerr is emotional, he has watched your decline, feeling helpless and now you're getting all the help and care you should've been given in NI
It's lovely they've even moved you both to a bigger room
Even the fluids and blood will have an affect on your wellbeing
Much love, strength and comfort

Lovely that you can relax a little and feel safe in the hands of medics who know what they're doing and are looking for ways to make a difference. Love to you all.

Icepinkeskimo · 06/07/2023 10:25

Sending love to you Pamela, you’ve made the right decision, and whilst it’s frightening you’re absolutely going to get the very best care and treatment. X
