Hi everyone,
We've had a number of reports from people concerned about this thread so, as we usually do in these circs, we're putting our heads round the door with some important reminders.
We can't see a shred of evidence to indicate the OP isn't above board but sadly, we can't know with 100% certainty that any poster is genuine, no matter who they are or how long they have been here. As frustrating as it is, we're not able to vouch for anyone.
So we always ask users to remember that not everyone on the internet is who they say they are – and remind folk not to give more to another poster, either financially (in cash or gifts) or emotionally (in time or care and support) than they'd be prepared to lose if things went wrong.
We understand the OP is not looking for any form of financial support but is here to be upheld and supported by you all through this difficult time.

We'd like to apologise profusely for any hurt caused - the message MNHQ posted was meant to caution people about giving more of themselves than they could afford in all ways.
We certainly didn't intend to cast doubt on your intentions and we understand you are looking for solidarity and support rather than any financial help.
