Pamela "I just want a loving community, sounds soppy but that’s all."

Not soppy at all. I think it's important to have a loving community for all kinds of reasons. Flowers

Hoping you manage to get some rest tonight and everything goes well tomorrow

Hi Pamela (sorry can’t write that without saying it in a Gavin & Stacey manner!)

We are all here for you, sending positive light and energy.

Having your op on your birthday will be the start of a new beginning and hopefully you’ll be feeling stronger very soon.

Wishing you lots of love

ohyouknowwhatshername · 06/07/2023 18:31

You still look beautiful Pamela ❤️ Good luck for tomorrow and happy birthday x

Lostatsea10 · 06/07/2023 18:33

You look beautiful and your strength shines through, even though you may not believe that.

Annasoror · 06/07/2023 18:34

How do you look so beautiful after the time that you've had recently?
Masses of luck for tomorrow - I hope it goes really well. Thinking of you. xx

Munchyseeds2 · 06/07/2023 18:35

Have they managed to control the pain a little today?
I hope so x

Lougle · 06/07/2023 18:36

Pamela, as you are in a private hospital, can they give you extra pillows to support you? I know they can be rare as hens' teeth in the NHS, but it is likely different there.

watermeloncougar · 06/07/2023 18:37

Pamela I hope you're feeling the collective love and strength as we hold you in our thoughts at the centre of our MN community.

I feel like we need you every bit as you feel you need us... your determination and your graciousness are awesome.

BreadInCaptivity · 06/07/2023 18:37

Pamela,

I'm so sorry you find yourself in this situation and especially that the support you've been receiving here has been somewhat tainted today.

I hope you can believe that there are many, many people wishing you well and keeping you and your family in their thoughts, prayers and hearts.

I'm not religious, but I did make a trip to my village church today to say a prayer to the universe for you and your family and to give you strength and endurance.

When a close friend was being treated for cancer she sent all her friends this link.

https://www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/la-xpm-2013-apr-07-la-oe-0407-silk-ring-theory-20130407-story.html

I'm not sure if you and Kerr will find it helpful, but she and her family and friends did.

I think a lot of people don't know what to say in these circumstances and this Ring Theory really resonated with all of us (friends and family) in guiding us about how to be supportive and most importantly gave her comfort in knowing she wouldn't be facing well meaning but unhelpful input.

Take care,

Bread x

JudgeAnderson · 06/07/2023 18:37

Totally understand, we should draw a line and focus on tomorrow. I really hope the procedure proves to be a birthday gift that makes you feel loads better x

LoisPrice · 06/07/2023 18:38

Pamela
i have followed your story since day 1. I’m from the north of England now living in Canada and am so happy to see you’re on the cusp of receiving some long overdue treatment. Enjoy this sunset from my garden and sleep well. Looking forward to seeing you improve and regain some strength over the coming days and weeks x

I have been quietly following your story and am so pleased you made the decision to come to London. As it happens I have a relative also being treated at the same hospital as you, and they have been so reassured by the nurses and doctors there, so I believe you are in the best possible hands. Good luck tomorrow. I am so glad you have options and hope. Flowers

Hebditch · 06/07/2023 19:06

Do you like dogs? Sorry if not...but I thought Teddy might make you smile. I don't usually dress him like this- the groomer did it for a post-pamper photo... He's a wonderful little therapy dog and just knows when people he visits need a cuddle- so please have a virtual one. We are praying for you and your family, you brave lady. Love from Laura in Hampshire x

Pamela sending you so much love and strength for tomorrow. I hope you get a good sleep tonight with decent pain relief.Xx

GU24Mum · 06/07/2023 19:08

Pamela - very best wishes for tomorrow and beyond. It sounds like a gruelling trip to get to London but hopefully you are getting strength from knowing that you are doing all you can to take control and give everything your very best shot.

I'll be thinking of you tomorrow especially.

Summer19 · 06/07/2023 19:11

Wishing you the very best of luck tomorrow that the stent brings some relief. A dear friend of mine passed away from cancer years ago in Dublin and I have always, always wondered if she had got to London or to a real cancer specialist hospital if she would have had more time, so glad you made it to London x
