Huntington's test

I saw genetic doctor on Friday and she very concerned I could be showing signs for Huntington's. I having blood test tomorrow. I am only 40 year old and feel very scared. I am a single mum with 8 year old and 12 year old and no support near me.

Will see a specialist in 6 weeks and he will do full assessment and then take it from there

She pretty sure I showing early signs but the specialist doc will run lots of tests to confirm and see how bad I am now

Are you on any anti-depressants op? It might be helpful if not and your gp can do that now rather than waiting six weeks.

Can you get back to your GP for some support? Some ADs?

Is there a charity that provides an advice line?

Thanks hopefully will feel better once at work. My dd doesn't know yet so hard not getting upset and have to act normal

Just wanted to send you all my love diamond. My DF and DSis both have HD so I have some small understanding of how awful this must be for you. The support my family have received from the healthcare professionals has been amazing. I hope you are able to access similar and have many good years ahead of you Flowers
