I want baby number 5 but hubby doesn't :(

me and my husband have 4 children together . I'd love one more but he is so done at 4. How do you deal with closing the book on having babies when you don't want to in your heart ? It's actually consuming my thoughts at the moment

You will have to get on and accept that your family of 6 is what it will be.

I get the biological pull but your husband doesn't want more children. Not to mention the environmental, financial impacts of having five children.

OP I forgot to mention in my last post to check out Emma Heaphy on instagram. She writes beautifully about motherhood in general but she has also recently had her fourth and last baby and has spoken openly about her similar struggles to yours.

For what it's worth - I'm the oldest of four and I've always loved being one of four. We all do and we have a lovely relationship as adults.

I’ve got 5. Think my DH would have been happy at 2. I was definitely done at 5 and desperate for the pregnancy to be over.
i had no 4 at 35 and 5 at 37 give your DH a year before you ask again! It will be easier with a bigger gap and by the time your youngest has grown a bit the urge might not be so strong.
