liahgan..... and ouch for your DD too........how horrid tho that you were fobbed off for so long. tis rotten when you know that something is wrong and yet still you are ignored, and even made to feel nuerotic.

My DD3 is ok.........lots and lots of tears this morning, and she is hating having to have the bloods done so oftern, but then, I have yet to meet anyone who likes havng them anyway.

she also hates having to have the cream on, as she is so so sensetive to the boys watching her. I have to do it in as prvate as possible for her as the boys make her cry just if they walk inot the kitchen. it isn;t even as tho they are picking on her or getting at her in any way....she just hates feeling as tho she is in a goldfish bowl IYGWIM.

she is being brave tho, despite the tears, as we have told her why and what it all means, and she is so wanting to know why she gets like this to be able to tall the horrid kids at school why she gets ill, to shut them up when they pick on her because of all the absences. will also help to be able to have the schools understanding too anyhow!

daddy has promised her a DS at the end of it, for being a star. she thought it meant that she owuldn't get one as she cried, but we have said she'll get one whatever just by virtue of the fact that she is having to go thro it all.

Morning all! glad to see this section up and running.

....had an good longgg weekend here. Lots of chocolate argueing as per usual....wouldn't be easter without it!

Managed to get a bedroom soted and painted which is great as when they are all off on school hols in 2 weeks we won't have to do it!!! yeah!!! hopefully the weather will be nice and we can spend the days out and about.

How has everyone elses weekend been?

I think some children are off for their school holidays now aren't they?
I am envious..i love it when they are all off as no rushing around...people seem to think i should dread the hols with having so many ....but i find it easier. Does anyone else feel like this??

aGalChangedHerName · 25/03/2008 11:59

We in Scotland are off on hols now And i have 1 mindee Wed/Thurs and off Friday again.

Mu parent has yet to let me know if i am having her next week tho

It's my 1st wedding anniversary on the 10th of April and Dh is taking me for a day out next week. Would have been nice to have a night away but i co-sleep/and still bfing dd2 so not possible(maybe next year!!)
My mum will have them from around 10am till 7/8pm. I don't know where or what we are doing but i have to get dressed up and take a swimsuit and nice underwear so i suspect he has booked us a hotel room!!

Soooo looking forward to it

pedilia · 25/03/2008 12:07

Yay we got a new section

AtheneNoctua · 25/03/2008 12:18

I object to your claim of the word OWLS. Think I had this theme first.

Slacker · 25/03/2008 12:22

School holidays definitely easier Idobelieveinfairies - usually we have to be out by 7:30 but this morning I got a lie-in till 9:30. I still have to drag them all out later on though - have to go to a police station and show all my docs because someone drove into me and then drove off last week and then DS1 has the orthodontist...it's all fun here!

My method for keeping the house sorted is to take advantage of DH's good nature and lower tolerance for filth by letting him do most of it . I do the laundry though (currently 3-4 loads a day thanks to new baby). And the children are getting better at helping, DS1 is painting his bedroom atm.

magnolia74 · 25/03/2008 12:25

So here you all are

Dh is not impressed with this section by the way! We had decided no more children and he still says no more but If we can move to a bigger house which is slightly possible then I may have to work on him
He says talking to you lot has given me Ideas

jes74 · 25/03/2008 12:29

afternoon all,

hope everyone had a great easter. My eldest three have been ill with tummy upsets and temperatures and have yet to touch their eggs.
ds's 1&2 are now feeling better and driving me mad-the playstation is on and they are playing loudly!!. dd has hump because she wants cbeebies and ds3 has decided to feed all day so far, when i really do need to sort the washinng as we are going to run out of clothes soon.
I cannot send ds's back to school until thursday which means no peace until then. then i have to get house very tidy which never happens as central heating + boiler is being fitted monday - they wanted to start tomorrow but i have pleaded nicely to delay it.
now can anyone remind me why i wanted 4 dc and why with ds only 17 wks i really want another

kittywise · 25/03/2008 12:30

wow what a HUGE list, I'll never keep up

Psyco, sorry to hear about your dd3 hope she's bearing up ok

Bloody hell SO tired I can't type

gingeme · 25/03/2008 13:15

aGalChangedhername where abouts in Scotland are you? My big boys live in Banffshire, Port Gordon. Please don't ask me which part that is wouldn't have a clue.
Definately couldn't do without my washing machine either. Atleast two lots a day. How do such small people make so much mess?
lol at us giving you ideas magnolia. Definately it for us. dh had the snip in October. In fact ds4 was meant to be it but ds5 was concieved while we were waiting for dh's appt for his snip our happy accident.
Thankyou pschycomum for adding me to the list.Well done to your dd for being so brave x
We share the housework in our house. Once a week we do a blitz. I do the polishing and bathroom dh does the hoovering and mopping, laminate flooring throughout the flat. He doesn't do washing though but he will cook more often than I do and he is a very good cook. Usualy I do a sweep through once a day though. ds3 puts his toys away before bath time at the end of the day. ds4 tries to help to but he kind of get the toys out as soon as ds3 puts them away
Well were off to the library soon so Ill say ttfn. x

Idobelieveinfairies · 25/03/2008 13:19

Hiya jes74....are you missing being pregnant do you think??? I always hated losing my pregnant belly....(loved having a baby too though) i am so broody too, but i have been clipped hoping one will come loose ...lol

kittywise · 25/03/2008 13:21

I keep having dreams that I'm PG. I don't really want another I feel I'm at my limit.
I don't even like being pg BUT I have such a physical yearning to be Pg again.
I don't know what's wrong with me, I've got too many kids as it is. Perhaps this feeling will never go away .

Any ideas how I get over this? Will it pass with time?

Idobelieveinfairies · 25/03/2008 13:26

I think it does get better with time.

I have 8 of them but would still love more.

I think if you have a large family then its is because you love sex children anyway, so the broodiness isn't going to suddenly dissapear.

but all them tiny ickle baby-gros i see in mothercare

Psychomum5 · 25/03/2008 13:26

I am the same, even tho I have had grotty pregnancies almost each time too.

I think it is just a yearning that many mums never really quite lose.....well.....IMO anyway.

I miss that thrill feeling of just finding out you are pregnant, and that secretive feeling you have before you announce it, and then those first flutters of feeling the baby move.

I don;t however miss the sickness, heartburn, cramp, over whelming tiredness, and that rib pain at the end of the pregnancy when the bump is so big and pushes your ribs out!!!

magnolia74 · 25/03/2008 13:33

I miss being pregnant terribly

kittywise · 25/03/2008 13:36

psycho, you're right. It's that wonderful time when you walk down a street knowing you're pg but no one else knowing.
For me also it was because of the terror of having another M/C that I so loved feeling those first flutterings.

And then once labour has finished you gaze into this completely new human face and lap up that wonderful newborn smell.

Oh shut up kitty.......................

Idobelieveinfairies · 25/03/2008 13:39

[email protected] that smell.......and the ickle ickle snorty noises they make......

Psychomum5 · 25/03/2008 13:42

oh, and when you pick them and they are all sleepy, and they do that bum-sticky-out stretchy thing.......not sure if I am explaining it well tho.

and yes, that new baby smell, makes your womb go 'flip' doesn;t it

Flamesparrow · 25/03/2008 13:42

One last crash - Sparkles only just noticed your name change! So you were pregnant

gingeme · 25/03/2008 13:42

The first black poos that goes everywhere but the cotton wool. The waking up every five minutes to check they are still breathing. The sleepless nights. The sore bits and pieces Oh Id love to do it all again........

Flamesparrow · 25/03/2008 13:45

(Ok so I lied - Psycho, Flamechick wants to "Go somewheeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeee" )

Psychomum5 · 25/03/2008 13:47

I assume the soooooooommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwhhhhheeeeerrrrreeeeeee means in fact......
