I hope it's ok to post this as I'm not Jewish. I can't believe the scenes from Glastonbury today. I just feel absolutely sick. Just when you think things can't get worse, they do.
It almost feels quite paralysing, like, what can be done to counteract this sweeping anti-semitism?

I haven’t seen the video from Glastonbury, I’m sure it was horrid. At least it didn’t go on for months like the student protests at Columbia. Columbia, however, faced consequences for allowing it.

I think it's going to be a bit of bother for him. If the tour starts in October, he already has signed contracts with all twenty venues. If he can't perform as the contract requires, it's going to keep a team of lawyers busy for quite a while to work out. He also likely has cancellation penalties in those contracts, as it's too late for the venues to resell the dates.

I've just seen this. The State Department has revoked the visas for everyone in the band. This didn't take long.

Something similar happened to the country music group The Dixie Chicks. They made some very unkind remarks about President Bush while performing in London. Country music fans lean conservative, so it was not well received. Radio stations stopped playing their songs and concert venues in the US canceled their performances. They had to change the name of the group to try to move on from it all.
