And Al Jazeera reporting that the four hostages released today were wearing the IDF uniforms they were captured in during Hamas' disgusting little stage-show, when we've all seen the footage of the injured, bound girls being dragged away in their pyjamas on October 7th. It no longer surprises me how low they'll all stoop, how complicit they all are, there's no limit.

@25milesfromhome I have just seen that. It's horrifying. We just need to focus on the positives of the day. I have also watched the footage of the reunion of the girls with their parents.
No one will forget the reality of how they were taken.

They were not genuine IDF uniforms. They looked to be cheap costumes Hamas made to look like IDF uniforms.

A little off topic for today but as I was looking for a bit of escapism by watching make up videos on TikTok, I made the mistake of commenting on a post. Just a girl talking about brands she’s no longer buying from and why, one cropped up as being a ‘pro-Israel’ of course, so I decided to put a comment gently saying please read more about the situation before making these types of judgements. She replied and seemed to take it on board. Of course now I’m being flooded with hate comments 😩

I went through a phase of this @Diamond82 , thanking people for pointing out X supermarket was selling evil Israeli houmous etc as I needed some.

I ended up learning a billion recipes to hide the mountains of newly acquired dates from the kids who hate them!

Btw the brand in question was Natasha Denona, I think she may be Jewish but from what I can see she has posted a standard balanced view. It seems that if you don’t show support for Hamas then you are pure evil.

There’s another one on there about lessons learned from the holocaust, hopefully it doesn’t go south. Already seen one post regarding Israel.

The narrative was "why are those pesky Jews going around purposely killing exclusively innocent people in Gaza when they should know better because they themselves were persecuted 80 years ago?".

There was so much wrong with it I don't even know where to start, really. The whole equating Jewish people with Israel thing, the idea that the persecution of Jewish people ended 80 years ago and the idea that the war in Gaza is just a completely random attack on innocent people. Obviously no mention of any hostages, and no acknowledgement that Israel has a right to exist in any shape, way or form.

It got to the point where I was only missing "space lasers" for bingo.

I don't know if anyone saw channel 4 news last night. They interviewed the German ambassador to the uk... I think his name is Miguel Berger. He was so eloquent and when baited by Matt Fry about the situation in Israel told him not to mix up the two things. Kept him firmly focused on the Holocaust memorial.

As the article says, it will be challenged in court, but a lot can happen while that process is underway.

What's not mentioned is that many of the actions of the protestors were not only anti-Semitic, they were illegal—trespassing, harassment, vandalism, etc. So, trying to hide behind their free speech rights isn't going to win the day.
