June IVF/FET 👶 🌟 ❤️

Hi,

Wondering if anyone due a FET or starting IVF in June? Would be nice to speak to those in similar position.

This will be my 8th round of IVF -
Cycle 1 and 2 - No fertilisation
Cycle 3 - 3 blasts

• fresh #1 miscarriage at 7wks
• frozen #2 BFN
• Frozen#3 BFN

Cycle 4 - 4 blasts, 2 of which euploid.

Starting with my next period around the 22nd May

@SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite I’m really sorry to hear you’ve had such a scary time, but very glad everything is ok. Thank you for sharing with us, I’m also on Clexane and aspirin so that’s helpful to know.

@mumtrovert I haven’t been testing, back to my test avoiding ways haha! How about you?
I’m feeling ok, moving between hopeful/excited and anxious. DH is not getting his hopes up, which I understand but it would be nice if we could share a bit of excitement too. I’ve told my closest friends though and they were very excited so I have a couple of people to be hopeful with too! I hope I won’t regret telling people but I think if I don’t have a positive outcome I would want to share that with them too. How about you, how are you feeling? Have you spoken to many other people?

@Blueskycat hahah honestly that’s the best way! I’m okay thank you. I’m feeling hopeful but also a little nervous that my tests started out a bit lighter if that means it’ll lead to a MC again, but that’s normal isn’t it. But that’s only a small percentage, I’m choosing to stay positive. That’s nice about being able to share it with friends, bet they were over the moon for you. Haven’t told anyone yet except our best friends who’ve been through IVF, they were told everything from the start, and my boss. Aiming to surprise people later on once DS knows!

@SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite im actually not bloated at all! So weird, especially since I’m on more progesterone than I’ve been before, but maybe the other meds counter this a bit 🤷‍♀️

I’m feeling a little more relaxed today, but obviously flip flopping frequently between feeling positive and negative, I’m actually looking forward to going to the office tomorrow for a distraction!

2-3 on a CB this morning at 5+4. Spiralling again that I’m just going to end up with another MC 😢😢😢

I’m sorry @mumtrovertit is so easy to spiral after losses ❤️‍🩹. Can you contact your clinic this morning to see if they can do a beta or bring forwards your scan for reassurance? I had a lighter FRER on Thursday) mid bleeding episode. It was as light as my test on OTD whereas I have only had dye stealers since then. I thought it was all over but my scan was fine - reminded me these tests aren’t always a reliable way to monitor progression. Hang in there xx

Thanks lovely. This is the same pattern as my MMC so I’ve absolutely spiralled this morning. Went to EPU and just broke down, they’ve offered to scan me at 6+0 on Thursday. They asked if I wanted to be scanned today but I just don’t want it to be too early to see anything and make me feel even worse. Unfortunately they won’t do any bloods unless it’s a pregnancy of unknown location or after confirmed MC. I understand, policies are policies.

@mumtrovertwell done for getting to the EPU and I’m glad they offered you a scan. And waiting until Thursday for a clearer scan definitely sounds like the right choice even though the waiting is horrible. I’ll be thinking of you and keeping everything crossed 🤞 xx

@Blueskycat I also have longer cycles so trying to predict scan days for work is gonna be fun with regular monitoring! People who don't go through this have no idea how good they have it!!

@mumtrovert hope you're coping as best as you can in the circumstances. I remember after I was positive on OTD on my last pregnancy a few days later I had a significant bleed and was totally beside myself had assumed it was all over. I begged my clinic for a scan, they took me at 5weeks +5 days and everything was perfect and amazingly there was a heartbeat that day. Don't give up hope these babies are more resilient than we think✨🍀🤞

@mumtrovert the CB weeks are notoriously rubbish. I only got 2-3 weeks at 6wks, but beta was well over 9000 and the threshold. I did have a MMC but at that stage the CB was just shockingly not accurate

Thanks guys. Well the saga continues, I spiralled and bought another test from the pharmacy at work and took it at 10:30 and got 3+!!!! I’m obviously very relieved but still worried it hasn’t shown up with FMU. But I’m not overthinking it and I’m just going to happy I saw a 3+. It’s definitely taken me off the ledge anyhow. Now I’m not sure if I should keep my scan on Thursday considering my IVF scan is next Weds?

@mumtrovert I’m so sorry to hear about the worrying and spiralling today. Well done for getting to the EPU and really glad you’re feeling better after your 3+ result.

I agree with @SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite and @PlanBFertility26 that it’s difficult to measure progression accurately with at home tests- there are so many stories of people not getting good progression but having healthy pregnancies. Although I get wanting the reassurance especially after having a loss before 💔 I am so desperate to know things are progressing too… it feels unbearable some moments not knowing!

In terms of the scan on Thurs I think do whatever will put your mind most at ease. Maybe sleep on it and decide tomorrow if you feel unsure now? Sounds like you’ve had a really tough morning today.

Thanks @Blueskycat it has been a rollercoaster of emotions. I know I need to step away from the tests and I think now I’ve seen a 3+ I’m not even going to question it and just leave it at that. I think I will wait for a day or two and decide if I think I need it.

@mumtrovert when can you get your beta done or redone? I’m sorry I get how nerve wracking it is and I’m so glad you’re feeling a little better right now.

@Umbrellaladi unfortunately my clinic don’t offer betas! Not unless it’s a suspected chemical. I’d have to pay extra for them so I’m just not bothering this time. I’m feeling relatively calm now. It’s out of my hands so I’m just trying to think, what will be will be ..!
How are you getting on with your betas? Hope everything is OK.

4dpt over here and today I am very much in the mindset that it hasn’t worked, I hate this so much 😩😩

@jenk91 I hope you get the surprise of your life! 🙏🏼 symptoms don’t mean anything remember, most of it is from the medication anyway!

I got another 3+ this morning so I’m feeling calm again.. (I had to make sure it wasn’t a fluke 😂🙈 no more now!)

Let’s hope so! It’s all so completely irrational isn’t it, I know nothing can really mean anything but yesterday I was feeling some period pain style cramps and today it’s all gone, it’s just impossible to ignore!

Oh that’s good, glad you’re feeling more calm! Hopefully you can step away from the tests now 😂 have you decided whether you will have a scan this week?

@jenk91 yes I cancelled it after seeing the 3+ today. I think I’d rather just have the one scan and wait till it’s a bit bigger. I have an anteverted uterus so it makes me difficult to scan anyway!

@mumtrovert i can understand that, and hopefully the next week goes super fast and then you get some reassurance at that scan 🥰

Hi everyone, hope everyone is doing ok! I am 6dpt and spiralling a bit, I have had some period style cramps on and off, but last night before bed and then in the middle of the night I had some waves of really strong cramps, probs lasted 10 mins or so. I did have something similar in 2 of my previous transfers, a successful and a failed one, so I know it’s meaningless, but this time they were so horrible it feels like there’s no way anything good could come from them.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?

After my transfer I actually didn’t get cramping but that really unnerved me because I’ve had two natural pregnancies (one when I was 20 and one I lost earlier this year) that started with intense cramping. The first time it was so bad it felt like it winded me when I was walking down the street and I found out I was pregnant when a doctor checked me as I had so much discomfort. So as you say, it’s so hard to tell! Keeping everything crossed for you xx
