I can’t really believe it but I tested this morning and got my first ever BFP!! I’ve not seen one in 3.5 years of trying including 3 failed FETs so I really didn’t have much hope. Going to try and enjoy the feeling today but it’s so hard not to worry about what comes next…

@mumtrovert thanks for asking and for your crossed fingers!

Amazing news!! Congrats 🥰

I’ve just had my blood test for progesterone ahead of transfer tomorrow, feel so far behind all of you guys and just praying my embryo survives the thaw

Testing with first urine on an FRER now. Line is still faint at 9dp 5dt. It’s been the same sort of faint for 3 days running. Beta is supposed to be Saturday but the clinic don’t open so it could be Friday or Monday

I would say this looks like a good solid line for 9dpt!

mumtrovert · 02/07/2026 09:12

@jenk91 aw good luck lovely! Keeping everything crossed for your embryo. When will you find out?

jenk91 · 02/07/2026 09:21

@mumtrovert thank you! Not until I am at the clinic tomorrow for the transfer, which seems kind of brutal!

mumtrovert · 02/07/2026 10:00

@jenk91 that really is!! 😫

Blueskycat · 02/07/2026 22:04

Thank you both!

@jenk91 best of luck for your transfer tomorrow ❤️

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some advice and hopefully a few success stories.

I’m 37 with a low AMH (0.4) and have just completed my first NHS IVF/ICSI cycle. I started with around 6 follicles, but only 1 egg was retrieved. Unfortunately, the embryologist said it was an abnormal egg, so the cycle ended before embryo transfer. My clinic has said I may still be eligible for another NHS-funded cycle.

I’m feeling quite disheartened and wondering if anyone has been through something similar and gone on to have success with a second cycle. Did your clinic change your medication or protocol? Were you able to retrieve more eggs the next time?

I’d really appreciate hearing any experiences or advice. Thank you so much

SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite · 03/07/2026 08:01

@Blueskycatamazing news! Huge congratulations

@jenk91wishing you all the best for your transfer today

@Lynwood5I’m so sorry that sounds incredibly disappointing. When did you get the news? Has your clinic offered you a cycle review / follow-up appointment or suggested how they might change your protocol going forwards? I’d definitely ask for that if not.

I was told the first cycle is a learning cycle based on your profile to see how your body responds to medication and clinics can sometimes change the protocol quite a bit for the next cycle. I didn’t respond as expected based on my profile (ovarian endometriosis) and they had to change my protocol mid cycle as I was significantly over-responding which can negatively impact outcomes. Easier said than done but try not to give up hope, and try to get a plan in place and some answers on how they might change things 🤗

jenk91 · 03/07/2026 11:46

Thanks @Blueskycat @SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite all done and embryo safely on board! The doctor and embryologist were so positive today, which has made me feel positive, I wonder how long that will last for 😂

mumtrovert · 03/07/2026 11:59

Yaaayy @jenk91 congrats on being PUPO. 🎉 absolutely everything crossed that your last one gives you the same luck. When will you test?

@Lynwood5 didn’t want to not respond but I don’t have any experience of that sorry. Ask ChatGPT? But definitely ask for a review before starting again to go through all options of what you can change

jenk91 · 03/07/2026 12:57

@mumtrovert thank youuu! Well OTD is 15th, I’m thinking maybe 9dpt, which would be a Sunday so probably works quite well. But let’s see if I last that long

Blueskycat · 03/07/2026 22:02

Yay so glad your transfer went well today @jenk91 , congratulations on being PUPO!

I found out that my scan will be on July 16th- I’m worried it’s a bit too soon to see anything but also glad it’s not too long to wait too…

Thank you! Already convinced it hasn’t worked as I feel nothing.

How many weeks will you be on 16th?

Blueskycat · 04/07/2026 09:52

@jenk91 Argh the symptom spotting is tough! I know it’s easier for me to say at this point but you really can’t know for sure when we’re on all this medication. I had zero symptoms too (no cramps, twinges etc.) and have at least had implantation.

When I was worried about not having symptoms, several kind people on this thread shared reassuring stories of other people who had no symptoms but went on to have successful pregnancies ❤️ Hang in there!

My scan will be at 6w2d all being well, which seems on the early side from what I’ve read BUT I’ve never got this far before so who knows…

jenk91 · 04/07/2026 12:28

Thanks @Blueskycat i know it’s ridiculous at this point to read into anything, but it’s impossible to stop ourselves isn’t it!

Well on the plus at least you don’t have too long to wait until the scan, although I know it will probably feel like a long time. I also think around 6 weeks is when you start to see a heartbeat, so fingers crossed for you 💫

mumtrovert · 04/07/2026 12:51

@jenk91 9dpt sounds like a good amount of time. I didn’t have any symptoms the first couple of days then felt a really sharp pain on the evening of day 2, happened a couple of times. But I know lots of people don’t get any symptoms! It’s so hard not to symptom spot though and convince yourself you’re out.

@Blueskycat my clinic tend to wait until closer to 7w but you still should see something at 6+2, just perhaps not as clear? Although they’re all just blobs at that stage! Your scan is the day after mine x

Blueskycat · 04/07/2026 16:05

Thanks @jenk91, yes I agree it’s impossible not to symptom spot…

Ah nice that our scans are close together @mumtrovert, very true about just being blobs at this point either way- that’s helpful to remember!

mumtrovert · 04/07/2026 16:06

Cute blobs of course 🥰😂 @Blueskycat how are you feeling? Have you been testing still?

SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite · 04/07/2026 17:43

@jenk91I didn’t have any symptoms except for increased hunger. It started waking me up in the night a few times closer to test day. I was waiting for that sudden implantation feeling and there was literally nothing and was convinced I was out

I had quite a scary 24 hours with two huge gushes of blood when I got off the sofa and then the most enormous clot randomly appeared with zero pain. I had a scan and everything is fine, I was sure it was over. A couple of my friends who had clexane and aspirin had this happen in the first trimester. Strangely I had two haematomas on my first scan which were still there on my scan yesterday - so I didn’t pass them, the clinic weren’t sure where that blood and clot had come from but told me to stop the clexane and aspirin until it stops (it’s now back to spotting)

jenk91 · 04/07/2026 18:43

@mumtrovert @SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite thank you so much guys, it’s very reassuring to hear! I’ve started to feel super tired this evening, I think the progesterone is catching up with me!

Im really sorry you’ve been going through that @SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite sounds super stressful, but really glad to hear scan showed everything is ok, and good news it’s just spotting now. Hope you are able to relax a bit now (easier said than done I am sure!)

very interesting to hear about the clexane and aspirin, I’m also on both of those so will bear this in mind if I’m lucky enough to get that far

mumtrovert · 04/07/2026 18:46

So scary @SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite glad everything is OK! How far along are you now?

SlightlyTerrifiedButPolite · 04/07/2026 20:06

@jenk91all my bloating from the progesterone dropped off too a few days after the transfer which I also took as a bad sign 😅

@mumtrovertI’m 7 weeks 3 days now 😅💫🤞✨z how about you?

Umbrellaladi · 05/07/2026 02:41

@Blueskycat CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! 🤩👏

@jenk91 thank you so much. And you were right I got a positive beta!! Re your symptoms I was thinking this hadn’t worked either as I’ve felt the very definite twinges if implantation (someone described it perfectly early on avout an electric shock and pulling feeling) absolutely unmistakable but I didn’t feel it and I’m pregnant. Have also had spotting which turned out to be fine. How are you feeling?
