December 2025 FET

Is anyone going to have a FET in December?

I was expecting to have one in January but when I went to the clinic yesterday they are going to try and squeeze a natural FET cycle in before the Christmas break!

I am 36, had my first egg collection last month but wasn't suitable for a fresh transfer. If my cycle plays ball my transfer will be 15th-17th December.

Hopeful for a lovely Christmas present but also being realistic given age and first transfer etc.

My bloods came back at 450, so that seems pretty good! No more bloods needed now, just need to book my scan for some point in the new year!x

Hi and sorry for the blank space!!! You know when sometimes anxiety takes over and you want to stay away from discussion threads… But now all better, had my transfer 3 days ago on Monday so now in the 2WW… I’m an early tester though so will probably test on day 7 or day 8. Thanks for checking in @CoolSummer89 I hope your transfer goes well on Tuesday!

@CollsR welcome! I think we have a kind of similar profile! I also have a 21 month old from a previous transfer and he’s still not sleeping through the night and it’s me and not my partner who keeps waking up through the night to put him back to sleep! Could complain about him all day long ha!

@Poppy9991 congrats and welcome to the PUPO team! yes it’s me (officially) next! I’ve actually had some family issues crop up in the past 11 days, the timing of it all has actually blown my mind. Now there’s a chance I’ll need to go back to my home country this weekend, so we’re definitely testing early (day 9 vs day 11), which is this morning! I woke up for my standard middle of the night wee and now can’t fall asleep 😂 wondering if I should’ve just done the test now as they say use the first morning wee as it’s the most concentrated, but too late now. Plus I’ve just drunk loads of water so it’ll be very diluted. I don’t like this process, I called the clinic yesterday and asked if I can just skip the test and do bloods instead and they basically told me to suck it up and wee on the damn stick 😂

@zirafica good luck with the pee test. I think better to have the result at home & on your own time. Doing a blood test & waiting for results is hard in my experience.

Ive done FET twice before. Always a weigh up between staying in my bubble & testing. But an early negative is not final. And an early positive is great news. So goodluck. We are here whatever the outcome.

@Poppy9991 Here if you want to vent about Dads who do less. I could go on too haha. I’m fairly direct with my partner normally & IVF meds mean I’ve got no chill at the moment. So my partner has been whipped into shape recently. lol. Turns out he can do a load of laundry or two during his day watching the toddler!

@Peonies94 @AnonTTC it’s positive and my mind is a mess and my fiancé looks like he might throw up so I think everything’s happening as it should?

Also @AnonTTC I use something called Claude which is basically another version of ChatGPT and it’s the only thing that’s kept me sane I swear!!! I’ll sooner break my phone than show anyone my search history on there the past couple of months 😂😂😂

Thanks @Peonies94! I suppose I’m not that early, two days before OTD so I do feel like this is ok. Going to call the clinic on OTD and schedule in a blood test so we’re sure everything is ok and then we take it step by step. Nowhere near out of the woods yet but definitely a step forward!

ok @AnonTTC looking back I’ve had quite a few weird things BUT, I know you know this, just bear in mind everyone’s symptoms are different and some might have some, some all, and some none and have a positive result so I don’t want anyone hyper analysing whether they’re feeling something I felt or not and whether that’s bad news! Also my (Claude’s) understanding is all of the below could be just caused by progesterone so there’s that too!

I’d say main ones were:

• really strong cramping on day 4 post FET
• strong cramping day 5
• occasional stabbing cramps since but maybe once a day
• my sleep has been all over the place but that might be due to family issues as well, however the last few days I’ve been waking up super hot and sweaty in the middle of the night
• I’ve been getting grossed out by some foods and my appetite has genuinely decreased massively. I’m a huge foodie so when I look a plate and think “nah I can’t be bothered” you know something’s up
• Super sensitive to smell but I am sure that started before the FET so might just be other hormones raging
• I get all huffy super quick, we spent day 4 out all day and when we got home and I had to walk a small uphill and some stairs I had to sit down immediately and just get my breath back

All in all nothing major and all could be caused by progesterone. I’d say the cramps were the most out of the ordinary thing for me, at their worst they felt like the worst period pain. No boob pain, no spotting, no moodiness (aside from emotional rollercoaster caused by dealing with my family). My Oura ring did say it was noticing minor signs of strain as well so I think it picked it up, but then I saw it and thought “no sh- Sherlock, I’m not sleeping, my parents are divorcing and my grandma is about to die, of course my biometrics are going to be all over the place” so didn’t really link the two.
