December 2025 FET

Is anyone going to have a FET in December?

I was expecting to have one in January but when I went to the clinic yesterday they are going to try and squeeze a natural FET cycle in before the Christmas break!

I am 36, had my first egg collection last month but wasn't suitable for a fresh transfer. If my cycle plays ball my transfer will be 15th-17th December.

Hopeful for a lovely Christmas present but also being realistic given age and first transfer etc.

Hi @CoolSummer89Im not having a transfer in December but hoping for early Jan 🤞🏼 so long as my AF arrives on time!
I had my egg retrieval back in September and had a fresh transfer which unfortunately failed. Wishing you all the luck for your FET ❤️ x

Thank you. Yes I was expecting a Jan transfer too. And who knows if my cycle doesn't play ball I may still have one.

Sorry about your unsuccessful transfer, hopefully your body just needed a break after all the stims and it will be a new year new start.

@CoolSummer89thank you and yes I hope so!
Have you been TTC for long? It’s been 2.5 years for us. We have 2 embryos frozen so I’m really hoping one of those is going to be a success

CoolSummer89 · 21/11/2025 12:14

@Firsttime2023 it will be two years of TTC for us next month.
We are unexplained infertility but we had a very good round of IVF so now I am worried that maybe I have an issue with implantation. Oh well... only one way to find out!

@CoolSummer89we are also unexplained infertility. I’m a bit older than you though, I’m 39 so I’m really panicking that time is slipping away and it’s not happening 😞 I too have worries that there is something “wrong” with me, that’s stopping embryos from implanting. When everything comes back “normal” it’s so hard not to try and blame it on something isn’t it!

Plenty of women have successful IVF treatment at 39. There's no reason why you shouldn't join that list. I understand the desire to guard your heart though until the 'journey' concludes.

I'm hoping to do a natural FET in early December. 2 rounds of IVF this year, but because we did PGT-A testing this is our first transfer. Just hoping all goes smoothly and we can get it in before Christmas 🙏

whysohardtogetusername · 21/11/2025 19:39

Should probably have said - I'm 37 so not far off in terms of age!

Hope everything goes well for you! We're in the same position (officially unexplained, decent results on two rounds of IVF) so it's hard not to worry about implantation. But here we go!

Poppy9991 · 21/11/2025 20:53

Hi - can I join? I have started a medicated short FET cycle last weekend so hoping for a transfer around the end of 1st week of December. I’m turning 43 at the end of the month by the way.

CoolSummer89 · 21/11/2025 22:04

@whysohardtogetusername i’m 37 in Jan, so sounds like we are very similar in situations. I’m NHS so no embryo banking or testing, so being realistic about result.

@Poppy9991 best of luck! How are you finding the meds so far

Hey! I’m on 4 tablets of progynova per day at the moment (2 morning and 2 evening). I feel bloated but ok. It is technically my 3rd FET cycle - although none resulted in a transfer so hoping this time we get there! (I should add thought that I also had 3 rounds of IVF with fresh transfer - including one successful transfer finally that got me my rainbow baby after 4 years TTC). We are trying a FET with the embryos left from that successful fresh transfer now. The worst part for me will be the pessaries and the injections. I’m a veteran in a way 😅Where are you guys based?

Poppy9991 · 22/11/2025 14:26

I just feel that it’s kind of a lottery so you guys shouldn’t worry too much! I had recurrent miscarriages so my journey was quite different. I became pregnant naturally twice but lost the babies at 7-8 weeks. Then because of age tried IVF and again lost a pregnancy and then I took massives steps to investigate. Put lots of money into private investigations and had a surgery to remove an ovary cyst and a big fibroid. The investigations showed that I had a genetic condition that could create blood clots so I had to take blood thinner injections and aspirin throughout my last pregnancy. It was a pain and a very stressful pregnancy but it was successful finally. But equally I have a friend who just had her first round of FET (her clinic didn’t recommend a fresh transfer) she litterally just turned 38 and has had two embryos collected and one implanted now and she tested positive a week ago. So good luck to all of us!

Sequins04 · 22/11/2025 15:28

Hello ladies, please could I join you? I was in the November group, but where I'm on the long protocol, my egg collection (and hopefully) fresh transfer are going to be in December. I finished downregulating this week and am currently on day 5 of stims. Feeling rather like a pin cushion at the moment! Sending you all baby dust!

Firsttime2023 · 22/11/2025 18:52

Hi @whysohardtogetusernamethank you for the well wishes! Best of luck with your FET, fingers crossed for early December for you. Mine has been delayed but it would have meant that I would be in the tww right over Xmas and new year, which for me I don’t think would have been a good thing. So at least I can try to relax and enjoy Xmas now.

@CoolSummer89you’re right thank you. It’s so nice to be able to speak to others in the same situation

Firsttime2023 · 22/11/2025 18:53

@Sequins04is this your first round? Good luck ❤️

Blueskycat · 22/11/2025 21:46

I’m preparing for my third FET at the moment, hoping to transfer in the first week of December. I think similar timeline to @Poppy9991?

Nice to meet you all, hope everyone’s managing ok with the meds

CoolSummer89 · 23/11/2025 14:15

@Poppy9991 Oh nice! Would be super special for one of your child’s fellow embryos to join the family! How many do you have frozen if you don’t mind me asking.

i’m based in London? Whereabouts are you?

@Sequins04 Welcome! It’s a long old round isn’t it. Will you have your first follicle monitoring scan tomorrow?

@Blueskycat Welcome! Are you doing a medicated cycle?

Hey! Yes it would be so nice! It would be funny to think that the kids are in fact « the same age ». I mean not really but technically ha! Don’t know if I’m making sense. We have 5! I’m very glad about it cause I had the horrible experience of losing one in a previous FET during thawing. You’d think these things never happen… It was really a shock especially since at that time we
only had that one.

Poppy9991 · 23/11/2025 20:02

@Blueskycat yes! I’m not entirely sure on the exact date yet of course but I’m on day 7 of stims so I’m expecting another 2 weeks approx before transfer. I think @Sequins04 we are just a day appart? You might be on day 6 today?

@whysohardtogetusername you’re also an early December fellow then?

@CoolSummer89 really hope you can squeeze in before Xmas if that’s what you want. Although @Firsttime2023 I get where you’re coming from on the 2WW during Xmas and NYE. I haven’t thought about it I just wanted things to move on my side but a dry Xmas and NY will be dull ha!

RavenWillow · 24/11/2025 14:30

Hi, can I join. I was in the November group like @Sequins04 but I will also be transferring in December hopefully. I am currently on day 6 of stims today (long protocol) and am going for first check scan on wednesday. 1st time doing ivf

Sequins04 · 24/11/2025 18:36

Hello everyone.

We've been trying naturally for over three years with no luck - have almost started IVF a few times, but the clinic found various bits that needed sorting first. Finally here and have been feeling very overwhelmed this week.

Nice to see you here @RavenWillow , how are you getting along?

@Poppy9991 it sounds like you, @RavenWillow and I are all very close together - I'm on day 7 of stims today.

@Blueskycat are you having a natural or medicated FET?

@CoolSummer89 I have my first scan tomorrow morning. I'm feeling pretty bloated so am hoping some have grown! Keeping everything crossed for you that they manage to squeeze the transfer in before Christmas.

@Firsttime2023 the delay must be frustrating, although it is nice you'll get to enjoy Christmas and New Year. I had a great alcohol free prosecco from Sainsburys the other day if anyone fancies one.

@whysohardtogetusername that's interesting you PGTA tested - how did you find it? We asked about it but the doc suggested trying a round first and seeing how it went.

CoolSummer89 · 24/11/2025 18:44

Loads of people mid-way through stims! Best of luck with scans and egg collection when it comes.

Firsttime2023 · 24/11/2025 18:45

@Poppy9991 don’t get me wrong if the clinic had been able to squeeze me in before Xmas I 100% would have done it regardless 😂 I’m just trying to look on the positive side and have told myself at least I can have a “less stressful” Xmas. Fingers crossed your dry Xmas and NY will be worth it 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Blueskycat · 24/11/2025 19:05

Nice to have so many of us on the thread, I thought December might be a quieter month but doesn’t seem like it!

@CoolSummer89 @Sequins04 I’m doing a medicated transfer, I think my NHS clinic only really do medicated so they can manage the timings more easily. I wonder if we’d have more success unmedicated but let’s see how this transfer goes…
