Hi! I’m starting the process of a FET in September, transferring a 4AB early October. Trying for baby number two. Anyone else? Would be great to have people to talk to amongst the symptom spotting, line eyes and general freak outs ☺️

Oh, this is lovely to read. @ClaireBear101 I'm so pleased for you!

I am not going to be a downer but I am posting because I can't really talk about it anywhere else. I'm spotting a bit. It's pale brown and I know it's 1) very normal and 2) unlikely to be an issue (and I know it's not ectopic and there wasn't any free blood on the scan and so on, so most of the worries have been checked out). I think it's probably because I had to miss one of my progesterone pessaries yesterday because my bloody clinic think it's funny to ration prescriptions. Anyway: I am sure it is fine, but um (and excuse me for TMI), @Miraclemuma03, you're on the dreaded utrogestan, aren't you? Do you get any pale brown staining?

(Sorry, I know it's grim, but where else can you ask?!)

ClaireBear101 · 07/11/2025 19:40

@SarahAndQuack we all worry about the small things though to be fair.
Ive been a bit freaked out today with period type cramps and diarrhea also TMI so sorry.
Ive heard a lot of people have spotting and not an issue so deep breaths. My nurse even told me I may spot/bleed and not to worry.
I would say stay positive and contact your clinic if things get worse but if you dont have heavy red bleeding I wouldn't be worried at all 😀

Sara237 · 07/11/2025 20:32

@SarahAndQuack As you said, brown at this early stage is almost always benign and as you've had the scan with heartbeat, it's likely just a little bruise or irritation of cervix. At the early pregnancy unit last Sat they reassured me about this but I completely get that it's really stressful especially when we aren't expecting success...has it eased off now? Any cramping or pain?

Miraclemuma03 · 07/11/2025 21:53

@ClaireBear101 @Limmers14 that is amazing, congratulations. What wonderful news.

Miraclemuma03 · 07/11/2025 21:57

@SarahAndQuack no spotting as yet but a little brown spotting can be normal, you have been on it longer then I have so that can be a side effect.

I did a first response digital and it says yes but im a bit worried about my line tests. I dont think its going to be a positive outcome for me. Just wish beta was here already.

Miraclemuma03 · 08/11/2025 00:12

Beta is on tuesday. I keep going back and forth about whether or not il have good results. I keep thinking yay its happening to what if its all a lie.

Waitingforday6 · 08/11/2025 00:51

@Miraclemuma03 I think most of us in the UK and Ireland are asleep so I wanted to reply now before dreamland calls before the early birds reply in a few hours (I'm not normally awake this late) 😁 The waiting, analysing, all the what ifs are the worst aren't they? But it's all looking good with the digital as well. Why are you worried about your line tests? It's hard to compare the tests depending on time of day, how hydrated you are, how long of a hold etc and apparently some get better results in the afternoon not morning and vice versa so don't read too much into the exact colour of the lines (I only know from those ovulation tests but assume the same for pregnancy). But I can imagine it's really hard to keep calm and wait for the beta. Do you have anything to distract yourself with this weekend? I always find weekends harder even with nice plans though but I hope for you it's the opposite and goes quickly. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

Miraclemuma03 · 08/11/2025 01:05

@Waitingforday6 thank you for your message. I think im in a rut. Its saturday and iv not done much this morning so its running through my head. Iv been so busy all week and been pretty good at being distracted during the day but today I decided to have a day at home and I guess its now just running through my head of all past experiences.

Miraclemuma03 · 08/11/2025 07:13

Gosh I love my hubby. He let me have a rest day today and he took over the household and the kids and even took everyone for a yummy in town to give me some quiet time. Iv spent most of my day in bed, iv made some appearances outside and while most of everyone was out of the house i did a little tidy up and some washing. In my quiet time iv been watching loads of YouTube videos and honestly I feel so much more better this afternoon then what I did this morning and im feeling much more positive. Though let me tell you, im done with the utrogestan, its getting really messy and frustrating and the side effects have got me going out of my mind. What side effects have you been experience with the progesterone your taking. How are we all feeling?

SarahAndQuack · 08/11/2025 11:13

Thanks all for messages last night - I feel so much better today. I know we all worry about the silly things, but I just needed that reminded that it's probably ok. I've had a series of miscarriages before, so it's just always on my mind. I was getting some pain, but I think the blood thinners just cause bruises so much that it is hard to tell what's on the surface and what isn't!

@Miraclemuma03 - yay for your husband! Good man! And yes, I really, really, really hate utrogestan. It is just disgusting.

I'm also not enjoying the blood thinner injections - I dunno why but having done them for ages and felt ok, I am now feeling really squeamish at the way the needle feels when it goes through flesh. Ugh!

Hope everyone is hanging in there and looking forward to a good weekend!

Miraclemuma03 · 08/11/2025 21:02

@SarahAndQuack il have to start on clexane blood thinners soon also up until 6 weeks after pregnancy obviously if I get that that far. I absolutely hate them. We call them wasps, they leave huge haematomas over my stomach its so unpleasant. How long do you have to stay on them for? Or is the the duration of your pregnancy?

ClaireBear101 · 09/11/2025 06:45

Hi all,
You know how we're all worrying about everything now. I'm here to vent haha.
I was cramping most of yesterday now its light, no where lose to my period cramps but just the whole constant part has me worried. Woke up still cramping. OK now.
Everything scares me now at this point having had no luck last 2 years.
Tests are still positive and today's is the darkest.
I need someone to just tell me get a grip haha

Sara237 · 09/11/2025 08:08

@ClaireBear101 Cramping is normal as things within us begin to readjust as well as IVF meds and pregnancy hormones altering digestion. That test looks amazing! When is your beta? Bleeding heavily is the time to worry not cramping. You've got this. Xx

ClaireBear101 · 09/11/2025 08:28

@Sara237 we dont do Betas sadly. So I'm just booked in for my 6 week scan on the 18th and I just wait haha. Thats why my mind races basically.

Your test is looking amazing. I also have cramping in my right side, its dull and continuous but its completely normal. I put it down to the progesterone. Iv had cramping of all sorts on and off since starting the progesterone. I know its hard not to worry though and its just natural to feel unsure.

SarahAndQuack · 09/11/2025 10:20

Just adding to the chorus of 'cramping is normal'. Though of course you worry. It's rubbish.

I have to woman up this morning - I very occasionally still run into my friend who I did my last IVF cycle with, because we work in the same area, and I need to run something past him today. He doesn't know I'm pregnant and you can't tell, but I'll feel better when it's over.

How did you go?

Miraclemuma03 · 09/11/2025 20:35

How did you go?

Oh, you're kind to ask. Just a bit sad, TBH, which I suppose is inevitable. It's one of those funny things where it isn't like the end of a relationship because we never saw each other like that, but you're still thinking about plans and things that didn't happen. He's very 'all business' with me at the moment, which is quite helpful.

How's everyone doing this morning? Is the cramping easing off yet, @Miraclemuma03?

ClaireBear101 · 10/11/2025 16:38

@SarahAndQuack certainly not easy but glad it wasn't too bad! Keeping it business definitely helps!

I'm 5 weeks tomorrow, I'm always anxious and second guessing feelings, what I ate and stupid things. I just don't want yet another miscarraige but this is the furthest we've gotten and today im exhausted. Just wanna sleep but have ro work. 😞 haha

Limmers14 · 10/11/2025 16:45

@ClaireBear101 I’m 5 weeks tomorrow too!

Had my second beta with the clinic today and it’s at 1084 which I’m really happy with. My progesterone dropped from 232 to 125 but I think that might be because I had to wait until I picked up my new prescription so did my meds at 9.45, not 7am.

Has anyone downloaded any pregnancy apps?

ClaireBear101 · 10/11/2025 16:53

@Limmers14 I'm using Flo. Very handy app! Also wooo twinning haha.
I know nothing about my Beta. Just not a thing in my clinic 😞

Oh, I know that feeling @ClaireBear101! I got close to 12 weeks just under 12 years ago (that feels terrifyingly far back) but, though I never had confirmation at the time, I'm pretty sure it was a missed miscarriage and stopped developing quite a bit earlier. So I think this is the furthest I've got, too. It's weird feeling you're in uncharted territory, isn't it?

@Limmers14 that's brilliant about the beta!

And oh god no, no pregnancy apps! Grin My midwife ticked me off (nicely) for not being in the swing of things yet. I keep thinking 'I'll just wait until ... I'll just wait until ...'. Grin

Limmers14 · 10/11/2025 17:38

@ClaireBear101 are you in Ireland? I’m from Ireland but living in London!

@SarahAndQuack haha that’s so funny, it is harder to get on with things though with an IVF pregnancy! The planner in me is thinking of so many things but I can’t quite bring myself to do it. I think downloading an app would be good progress for this week. NHS appointment next week

ClaireBear101 · 10/11/2025 18:12

@Limmers14 yup sure am.
I'm in Cork :)

It is very sad but im glad it wasnt too bad.

Cramping and back ache have been my best friend since starting the progesterone only now its consistent so could be the start of pregnancy but im still early so who knows
