Hi! I’m starting the process of a FET in September, transferring a 4AB early October. Trying for baby number two. Anyone else? Would be great to have people to talk to amongst the symptom spotting, line eyes and general freak outs ☺️

Lovely to read this, @Miraclemuma03! And yay, @ClaireBear101!

I am about to drink my pint of water and go. Ugh.

SarahAndQuack · 03/11/2025 12:15

I've got a heartbeat, measuring 7 weeks 3 days.

Sara237 · 03/11/2025 12:41

@SarahAndQuack So happy for you! Wonderful news. Amazing seeing that little flickering heart beat isn't it?

I couldn't actually see it! She said it was there, so that's fine. The ultrasound clinic were so, so much nicer and more thorough than my fertility clinic - the technician checked my ovaries and uterus and told me what she was checking for, and I found it so reassuring. It really brought home to me what a difference it makes not to be treated as if everything is a mad rush and you barely need to talk to the person you're scanning.

Limmers14 · 03/11/2025 13:33

What wonderful news @Miraclemuma03 and @SarahAndQuack!

ClaireBear101 · 03/11/2025 17:25

@SarahAndQuack that is great news!! So happy for you!!!

Miraclemuma03 · 03/11/2025 20:27

@SarahAndQuack I was just coming on to check up on you and see how your scan went. That is so amazing. What great news. Have you now graduated from the clinic? Whats the next steps for you?

Miraclemuma03 · 04/11/2025 07:12

What an absolutely hard day today was . I was so overwhelmed and I struggled so much. I woke at 5.30am and just felt anxiety after having next to no sleep, I was so overwhelmed and just had the weight of the world on my shoulders and the day did not get better.. its now 5.10pm and iv come to sit on my bed and have a bit of a cry. Progesterone is kicking my butt.

Oh, love, I'm so sorry. That sounds very rough. Progesterone is an absolutel bastard, isn't it?

It will feel better. Just one day at a time.

ClaireBear101 · 04/11/2025 10:01

@miraclemuma03 I'm so sorry to hear that! I remember having bad time with the progesterone on a few goes. It sucks. I'm feeling super bloated and cramps myself today. Sending positive vibes.
Have you tested again?

My test today shocked me as bother line is stronger than I ever had previously when I had chemical etc.

Ooh, @ClaireBear101, that's a lovely strong line! Woo-hoo!

Waitingforday6 · 04/11/2025 10:21

That's a beautiful line @ClaireBear101!!! So happy for you!!! ❤️
Hang in there @Miraclemuma03! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!!

Waitingforday6 · 04/11/2025 10:23

@SarahAndQuack I'm also so happy for you!! ❤️

Sara237 · 04/11/2025 14:37

@Miraclemuma03 I'm hoping you're asleep right now but wanted to respond and hope that that shitty day was just a blip for you in this process. It's so heavy physically and mentally and it's understandable you feel overwhelmed. Trying to function as normal with all these raging hormones is so hard. You're doing amazing and you will be ok. Normally I think trust your feelings but with this process I think the opposite! One day at a time. In fact my days are so hideous ATM due to non stop nausea that I'm taking it one hour at a time. Sending hugs.

SarahAndQuack · 04/11/2025 14:48

Oh, no, I am sorry about the nausea! I feel very fortunate mine isn't bad.

I put on my big girl pants and sent a long complaint letter to my utter failure of a clinic. I'd been putting it off because it felt like tempting fate. But they were so awful, and I really don't want what happened with me to keep happening to other people. We'll see what, if any, response I get.

Limmers14 · 04/11/2025 18:16

Ladies, we heard there will be redundancies at work today. Not sure if my bit of the business will be affected or not. It’s been constant over the past few months. I’m only staying there because they’re paying for IVF and give 6 months full pay for mat leave.

My official test day is Saturday. I’m wondering if it’s positive, if you were in my shoes, would you tell your employer even if you were only 4/5 weeks in the hope it might offer some protection against redundancy?

I’m so fed up of my company

Miraclemuma03 · 04/11/2025 21:12

Thank you ladies for the lovely words of encouragement. Still not much sleep last night and eventually got up at 3am to try tire myself out and went back to bed at 4am and then up for the day at 5am, was usless trying to sleep. But its a new day so let's make the best of it.

@ClaireBear101 thats a great line. Its all looking very positive. If you tried a frer it would be really dark id say.

No havnt tested again, my tests still havnt gotten here, our delivery service is snail mail its painful waiting for stuff to arrive and dont really want to buy another test in my local town because last time someone spotted me and I had to lie about it and made me feel uncomfortable and weird, not sure why people like to snoop through your belongings that you are purchasing at the checkout . Im a private person so no one really knows what is happening and what we do so I was caught off guard.

Miraclemuma03 · 04/11/2025 21:20

@Limmers14 i hope thats not in your department. No i probably wouldnt tell them right now your pregnant . It could be fuel to make you redundant though I know its not allowed. What a hard time right now and the worry would feel horrible.

Miraclemuma03 · 04/11/2025 22:49

Went to the store and did another test. I thought at 7dp6dt it would be a lot darker so looks like im probably out. Il go home and compare test and upload them together . But here is today's test. What do you think

Miraclemuma03 · 04/11/2025 22:50

I also didnt have 5seconds of peeing so I dont know if that makes a difference. My image is under review so not sure how long that takes to upload.

SarahAndQuack · 04/11/2025 23:23

What type of test is it? I did a really sensitive on on day 7 with early morning urine and it was darker than that - but presumably it's not early morning if you've just been to the shops? I did a second one on day 8 that was later in the day and a Boots cheapie, and it looked like that.

Its a frer and was not first morning pee but its darker in person and I compared tests and its much clearer then the other day but I also didnt pee on it for the recommended time frame and actually only really dribbled on it and the wee took a very long time to cross the window I actually thought it had stopped at one point thats how slow it was, so I dont think I did the test correctly but now we just wait and see. My delivery for more tests reckons they arnt coming until the 11th which is when my beta is, so now im wondering do I just go to the store and buy more tests or wait for beta. Technically im pregnant as there is a second line so do I just be happy with that even if its on the light side. I have had tests like this before and it work out so I can hold on to that. Ahh the anxiety is real.

Waitingforday6 · 05/11/2025 08:04

I think that is noticeably darker than the last one @Miraclemuma03 so I would find this reassuring (in theory I know it's harder in practice!) also taking into account what you said about not sure you got enough and it not being first of the day. I know you said you gained weight and even though you are not heavy if you are heavier than with past pregnancy tests that can also mean it isn't as concentrated in the urine (apparently) so could appear lighter. Fingers crossed but I think it's looking good so far!! ❤️

The anxiety is awful, isn't it?

I agree with @Waitingforday6 that it's darker than before.

A friend of mine wrote a book about how people tested for pregnancy in the days before reliable take-home tests (it's very weird; it involves frog urine!) and it really made me think that we have always been desperate to know asap, haven't we?!

I just found out - DD let it slip, because she has properly twigged that I'm pregnant (she understood I was trying before but wasn't quite clear) - that my ex-partner's younger sister is due in January. I've got to admit I am a little bit hurt my ex didn't tell me (assuming DD is right about dates, which is a bit assumption as she initially told me confidently her auntie was 'thirty months' Grin).
