Anyone in the same boat who'd like to chat?
It's our first round. Likely to need a freeze all which I'm quite disappointed about as means won't even transfer until Nov.
I'm on short protocol.
Feeling pretty fed up ATM tbh, partly because it's come to this but also just want to get going, currently just waiting for my period early sept and feels like my life is on hold until then!

Hi guys!! Unfortunely for me i have to cancel my fet cycle this month, I am still quite sick and now on my second lot of antibiotics in less then a month. Im feeling pretty devastated. I wish everyone in this group all the very best of luck and lots of baby dust

Thank you @pastelheart - I think it makes the whole thing less daunting if you feel excited doesn't it!? Will see how I feel once I start the stims though, ha. We went for our pre-op today and that made everything a bit more real. They put quite a lot of emphasis on how high risk I was for OHSS which made me a little nervous, but I guess I'll just have to see.

& thanks @Klmno - definitely sounds very similar :) I have been on Letrozole since November last year! I think in total we've done 8 rounds, 4 didn't work and 4 did. We're actually waiting for the result of this round, which we won't know until the day before our IVF is due to start so bit of an emotional rollercoaster, ha. Sorry to hear you were a little blindsided by your freeze all situation, this process requires a LOT of patience doesn't it? Annoyingly when I went for my appt this morning I asked if a November transfer was realistic (which is what I had in my head) and she said it will likely be more like early December.. then reminded me that they have to close throughout some of December into January but don't know the exact dates until nearer the time.. so it might even be mid-Jan!!! Feels so far away but trying not to think too far ahead and just get past egg retrieval first haha.

Stims are kicking my bum today, I feel awful. I have completely lost my appetite so feel lethargic and bloated and just like a potato lol

my monitoring scan isn’t until Monday, and I start another injection on Saturday as well… I still haven’t cried yet though and normally I am a cryer so I guess that’s one good thing

@pastelheart what day of stims are you on ? Is there anything that can relieve the bloating ? How long you stimming for ?

Im on day 12 of stims so far and I’ll say it’s up and down. I feel tired but then I feel tired most times. Tbh don’t feel super bloated but have moments where I am bloated- if that makes sense ? Tomorrow I go for my 2nd monitoring scan. Praying it goes well because when I went on day 10 they said there were 2 dominant follicles at 14mm and 16mm but didn’t tell me about the others just that they are catching up. So don’t even know how many that was or if that’s catching up like they were on 6mm or 10mm🤷‍♀️. If I’m being honest I generally feel okay. Breast seem to be expanding which usually happens after ovulation, watery discharge as opposed to the ewcm I was getting earlier in the week. Any similar symptoms ?

@Happyclappy22im on day 5… I don’t know if I’m just being a baby but honestly I’m so bloated and I know it’s going to get worse! I haven’t been moaning about it (apart from on here) I have just been a bit quiet I guess and my partner keeps asking if I’m okay… yes I’m fine stop speaking to me thank you lol

I don’t have similar symptoms to that but I’m a few days behind you so that may be why. Let us know how your scan goes tomorrow x

@Happyclappy22 how many days of stims are you going to be doing, I'm only having 10 and slightly worried it's too short

@pastelheart I had my worst bloating around day 4/5 on my last round hopefully it will ease off for you

Hello! I had a scan this morning and I am ready for egg collection on Monday which is great news. I have got more follicles than I expected so things are looking better than my last round 🤞🏻

@boberto88 this is my 4th round had a few Frozen transfers in-between each round as generally ended up with 4 too grade blasts apart from my first where I got 2 rubbish grades

@boberto88 did you have any frozen with previous rounds? Have they changed much on your protocol

I’ve never had any to freeze :-( I’ve had 2 btp but early losses.
im on max dose and doing icis,zymott and aoa. not feeling hopeful xx

@boberto88 I also have had 3 early losses it's heartbreaking seeing the line for nothing to come of it . I'm on 300iu of merifert and after 2 lots of steroids, progesterone injections also side everything else we are male factor however now my age may be playing a part but all my tests show good there is no real test for egg quality I was told

Aw I’m so sorry to hear that. How did you get the steroids? I might ask for them?
what clinic are you with? Fingers and toes crossed this will be our round ❤️

@boberto88 Methylprednisolone and Tacrolimus are what I am on after the transfer well from egg collection I am with an overseas clinic as used to live overseas and this is when I started treatment

Is that to help prevent a loss? Xx

@boberto88 it's a steroid to help prevent rejection of the embryo as they can't understand why I keep miscarrying them just an extra try I think

I’m going to ask for it. May aswell try everything since it’s my last go xx

@camelinastorm it depends on your protocol. I was diagnosed with endo so had a long protocol. Had to start down regulating and today is my 13th day of stimulating.

@YourTipsyDog yay! Me too! My egg retrival is also on Monday. What time is yours ?

my scan went well and I am grateful, still a way to go but grateful! My numbers were

23, 19,16,11-Left

16,20,8,10,6-Right

so there were 9 follicles in total. I’m happy as long as they’re of amazing quality. My lining was also good at 9.4mm and they could see a three tier structure. Nurse described it like a ‘sandwich’

Dont know what to expect from a retrieval neebousebut at the same time can’t be as bad as a laparoscopy?

@Happyclappy22 8:30 which I am happy with because I don’t have to be hungry for too long 😂 that sounds like a good number of follicles to me ☺️ I am triggering tomorrow night (as I guess you are too) which is awkward because I’m supposed to be going out…I can’t decide whether to arrive late or pop home and do it, I don’t want to rush it and get it wrong!

@YourTipsyDog No wayyy we’re exactly the same people lol. How was your scan ? I also have to be in at 8.30am too! I’m triggering at 9.00pm tomorrow but I’m at a wedding 🙃going to leave early as can’t risk missing it and don’t wanna bring meds with me as it’s such a faff!

Oh wow @Happyclappy22 mine is also a wedding (just the evening though!) so I think you are right 🤣 my scan was good thanks- I’ve got 10 follicles which is twice what I had last time so I am feeling very hopeful which is a rare but welcome feeling. What are you triggering with? I am doing a double trigger so with my other ‘usual’ ones I’ve got to do four injections tomorrow…I’m basically a pin cushion 🤣

No wayyy it’s also a wedding lol.We’re almost twinning with follicles. great news about your follicles doubling. What did you do different ? How many eggs were retrieved last time ? Thankfully only triggering with one “Ovitrelle” but have to have one last dose of buserelin (2 hours before shot). I’ve felt like a pin cushion and started to get fed up.

@Happyclappy22 last time was short protocol, long this time. I also used testosterone gel for two weeks prior to starting my down-regulation. I’m also just a lot more relaxed; last time it was an NHS cycle and a lot was riding on it, whereas now we have paid for a 3-cycle package I feel a lot more relaxed. I think you said it’s your first cycle, is that right?
