@lemonwrightyoh no 🤣 something to look forward too. That’s a pretty good saving. My friend has an owlet for me but I’m trying to find the spare socks to go with it

lemonwrighty · 20/11/2025 14:22

@OrangewillowI think probably just listening to other peoples thought on it, questioning why you would inject yourself with something that hasn’t been needed innoregnant women in the past, it’s been linked to pre term labour which I’m already at high risk from so I’m trying to reduce anything from increasing with me being high risk already. I think I will get it done because I have been set on it since the midwife told me about it, it’s only been the last week I’ve had a wobble about it.

@magpie234 congratulations on finding out your having a baby girl 💕 how exciting for you.

@lemons44 I had the glucose test done at 12 weeks and then 26 weeks. No I don’t have any direct family member with diabetes but my husband is. Im not sure why I’ve had 2 done, I just think my midwife is being overly cautious, I’ve had appointments almost every week/ other week for something, whether it’s a consultant appointment, scans, mid wife. I feel like I live up the hospital at the moment 😂

@confused2025 oh how lovely of your friend to give you hers, on the owlet website does they not sell just the sock? You’d save so much money. I wast going to purchase but a family member kindly offered as a baby gift, was so grateful as I’m so paranoid about SIDS

confused2025 · 20/11/2025 18:51

@lemonwrightythey don’t seem to have them in stock so trying to hunt down. If you see any, let me know ☺️

confused2025 · 25/11/2025 11:46

For anyone looking for good dungarees - Beyond 9 seem to have a decent discount. I bought a pair and I live in them. Hope everyone is doing ok x

worldwidetravel2017 · 25/11/2025 13:48

We had a private 4d scan recently which was nice

Im exhausted atm tho

A cold - on top of pregnancy and chronic fatigue syndrome

My muscles ache

lemons44 · 25/11/2025 19:46

How was the 4D scan @worldwidetravel2017? We are thinking of having one done

lemons44 · 25/11/2025 19:48

I’m 23.5 weeks and I feel so heavy and clumsy. If I’m on the floor doing something it is a genuine struggle to get back up. I’m not sure if this is normal so early or if it’s because I became a bit unfit during the IVF.

worldwidetravel2017 · 26/11/2025 04:46

Did any of you get diagnosed with gestational diabetes ?

Im nervous re this

Test dec 8th

confused2025 · 26/11/2025 06:41

@worldwidetravel2017the tiredness is real. We will all need a holiday after this. I have the test this Friday. Not excited for it lol

Orangewillow · 26/11/2025 07:42

I've just asked my midwife about a gestational diabetes test, I wasn't going to (they said I didn't need to as am low risk) but had a private scan yesterday and they said they'd recommend it in general, and baby is measuring quite big! I had a 4D scan but baby wasn't playing ball, so back on Friday to hopefully get a better view!

SamVan · 27/11/2025 17:05

@lemons44 I'm feeling the same and I'm only 20 weeks. I've put on more than I'm meant to - 10 kg already, which is about 20% more than my original weight. I used to like sitting on the floor a lot now I don't even like low couches. I haven't been allowed to exercise for ages due to IVF then bleeding during pregnancy so I haven't been in the gym for 3 months. I'm quite sad about feeling so unfit and worry it'll be harder to bounce back after the baby is here. I thought I'd be one of those fit mums with a small belly but instead I'm a whale.

Orangewillow · 27/11/2025 19:20

Cant tag for some reason but I've felt the same SamVan! I ended up putting on about 10 pounds in the later stages of IVF and then got pregnant, ate all the cards for months and now am avoiding finding out how much I weigh as I know it'll depress me and there's not much I can do! I've tried to do some gentle exercise, but it's limited, and while I'm trying to eat good food I also want some treats and given that I can't drink all the wine, and I'm tired and uncomfortable, I'm not giving up cake! (Hoping my GD test next week is OK or that might finish me off) xx

Thanks @worldwidetravel2017 turns out I wasn’t booked in for it as they viewed me as low risk even with age. Thankfully everything else seems to be on track. Hope you’re doing ok x

lemons44 · 01/12/2025 19:32

Hi all, how is everyone?

We had a bit of a scare this weekend as I felt some fluid gush out of me when I was on the toilet. I felt so worried it was amniotic fluid. I went in to Triage today and they did a test and confirmed it is just watery discharge so panic over.

confused2025 · 01/12/2025 19:45

@lemons44that must have been very scary. Glad all is ok. I’m good. I’m definitely starting to get a lot bigger. My Amazon/boots hauls are starting to land - I spent so much money over the last 4 days 😱 but the discount was good.

worldwidetravel2017 · 02/12/2025 11:11

So tired
Low feretin
Low b12
Got a cold

KayEmmSquared · 02/12/2025 13:40

@worldwidetravel2017 that sounds awful, can you get a B12 shot from the doctor? That would help with most of that eh?!

I had to get an emergency dentist appointment this morning for a broken tooth, turns out baby doesn’t like the dentist - the sweats, being sick, almost fainting twice - so not my normal dentist visit, normally I just go for a nap while they work!

KayEmmSquared · 02/12/2025 15:02

@worldwidetravel2017 fingers crossed your dr or your consultant can give you something to relieve the symptoms you’re feeling, this process has been/is hard enough! Sending you lots of positive vibes ✨

lemonwrighty · 03/12/2025 12:43

My immune system is shot to bits.
I haven’t been ill since way before COVID and I’ve come down with cold and flu symptoms. Makes it more difficult that I’m trying to take the “natural remedy” route but last night my headache and throat was so sore, I caved and took 1 paracetamol before bed and I managed about 6 hours sleep.

I’ve got my 31 week check up in a few weeks time and baby is so active. I hope everyone is doing OK!

lemons44 · 04/12/2025 20:09

Hi all, for those experience movement and kicks, has your baby established a pattern yet? I feel like mine has quiet days and I think at the minute he’s low down and I’m not feeling much (know he’s ok as he was checked on Monday at triage when I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid)

Orangewillow · 04/12/2025 21:00

I have a bit of a pattern in that he's often fairly quiet in the day when I'm moving about, and more active at night - my midwife said that's pretty standard. I have some days he's busier and others he's more quiet, which does freak me out, but I think he's still able to bob around into positions where I can't feel so much (29 weeks). I've been stressed about it, my midwife said sounds OK but never worry about going to get checked if I'm concerned
