@Strawberrryfields No I wasn’t. I didn’t get any of the Covid jabs during Covid and I’ve never had Covid so I didn’t ask.

Orangewillow · 25/10/2025 14:11

I've tried to get a covid booster and been told they're only for certain groups, mu local pharmacy said I couldn't even pay for one and I've not seen anywhere else near me thats offering them so have given up on that! There are private clinics offering but cba to trek into town doe it right now. I got flu and whopping cough a few days later, felt a little bit under the weather after but might not have been the jabs. Will get RSV a bit later

magpie234 · 25/10/2025 14:19

I have had my flu (NHS) and Covid (private) and will get my whooping cough and RSV in due course (only 13 weeks so far).

Strawberrryfields · 25/10/2025 19:10

Thanks everyone. Think I’ll double check with the midwife on Monday so I know the spacing and make sure I’ve not been told the wrong thing!

lemons44 · 26/10/2025 11:24

@Timetotryagain we are so in synch!! When do you have your 20week scan? Mine is on Friday.

@StrawberrryfieldsI got my flu jab a few weeks ago. I have my whooping cough tomorrow and I was told I couldn’t book RSV until 28 weeks. I don’t think I am going to get the Covid jab.

SamVan · 27/10/2025 10:41

I've had my flu and covid (private - easily booked at boots) and will get the rest on the correct dates. I'm getting my husband to get everything too btw - he has taken flu and covid and will take whooping cough and RSV as well. Even though the baby will theoretically be protected by our immunity, immunity is not 100%. For covid and flu it's only 40-50% against infection (it protects against serious hospitalisation better). So in my view it's best to get everyone around the baby to get as much immunity as possible. My parents have received similar instructions.

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow and feel so nervous. Last week I really thought I was starting to feel flutters but this week I’m not sure if I am feeling anything and it’s really stressing me out.

lemons44 · 30/10/2025 10:18

@worldwidetravel2017sorry you’re worrying too. Have you had your NHS 20 week scan yet x

lemonwrighty · 30/10/2025 10:46

It depends on where your placenta is positioned. Mines posterior so I felt baby moving quite early on around 15 weeks I think. I have friends who didn’t feel their baby move until 24-28 weeks with an anterior placenta.

Mines posterior too

I have a pretty high bmi tho

( & first pregnancy that has got this far )

lemons44 · 30/10/2025 11:36

@lemonwrighty mine is posterior so I was hoping I would feel lots of movements nice and early

lemons44 · 30/10/2025 11:40

@worldwidetravel2017thats good news your NHS one went well!

do you mind me asking if that scan took a long time? I am not sure what to expect tomorrow.

lemonwrighty · 30/10/2025 14:52

@lemons44@worldwidetravel2017 I’m only just at my bmi so I’m feeling everything but I wouldn’t be too concerned especially if your scans show the babies are all OK. NHS website says you should start to feel movement between 16-24 weeks

They have to get certain things - lots of checks
So depends on if baby co operates
( we got sent for a walk - to enable them to get final 2 things they needed )

Shes always active on scans - dancing upside down,
Crossing her legs over
All sorts

But yea

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow and feel so nervous. Last week I really thought I was starting to feel flutters but this week I’m not sure if I am feeling anything and it’s really stressing me out.

I had my 20 week scan this week, I was really nervous too but I don’t think that will ever go away. I have to go back next week for another scan as baby wasn’t playing ball so they couldn’t get all their measurements. Fine by me though, another check up and another pic for the board 😂

I started feeling flutters about 17 weeks then it stopped for a good 2 weeks but I’m feeling them almost every day now.

lemons44 · 30/10/2025 18:14

@KayEmmSquared @worldwidetravel2017 do they tell you there and then if things are looking ok?

lemonwrighty · 30/10/2025 19:46

@KayEmmSquared aww my baby was the same with me didn’t wanna play ball, they couldn’t see baby’s lips or heart chambers so I went back last week and they was able to see the lips but not the heart chambers. Baby was in the exact same position as the last appointment so I was shaking my hips on the bed, baby still didn’t move, I think it’s camera shy 😂

KayEmmSquared · 30/10/2025 21:07

@lemons44 my consultant said she could see everything and all looked good but she couldn’t measure everything which is why I need to go back.

@lemonwrighty I’ve had a few people tell me they’ve had to do star jumps or run up and down corridors 😂 my consultant didn’t, she just got more brutal with the ultrasound, I thought she was trying to scan the bed through me at one point she was going that hard!

confused2025 · 31/10/2025 06:45

@lemons44some don’t say anything but the lady doing mine was very talkative. Just don’t be stressed if they’re not talking - most of my friends said they were in silence for 20 minutes and panicked but all was good x

lemonwrighty · 31/10/2025 06:47

@KayEmmSquared oh no that’s not good. Did she ask you if it hurt that she would stop? Mine did but she was trying to dig underneath to get the baby to “flip” but it was having none of it 😂 DH didn’t like it at all, thought the sonographer was hurting the baby even though the baby didnt even flinch on the scan, it’s obviously nice and cosy being upside down, back to front 😂 hopefully your second check up will be soon. They only allow 2 appointment for the anomaly checks for me, because they wasn’t able to complete they said they’ll check the heart chambers when the baby is born, but I’m not sure why they can’t check it again on a scan appointment further on in the pregnancy

Mine is next week and have started to get nervous too. I’ve been feeling some bit of movement which is reassuring but then had quiet days too where the anxiety ramps up. The midwife said it’s totally normal at this stage to not have a daily pattern and it’s really positive that you’ve already felt something at all.
Sending you lots of luck for today for your little pumpkin 🤞❤️

lemons44 · 31/10/2025 12:07

Thanks all for your replies.

Happy to report that baby looked fine on the scan.

@Strawberrryfields thank you! And sorry you are having nerves too. I think I felt flutters last week multiple times, and maybe one kick.. but this week I would say I have questioned if I felt anything at all!
I suppose it really is still too early to feel things regularly.

@KayEmmSquared my consultant made me jump up and down 🤣 she was also pushing very hard and it was a bit painful. She measured everything fine but struggled with the heart as baby kept putting his arms in front of it .. which was when I had to do some jumping to get him to change position.
