July IVF/ICSI/FET

I didn’t see a thread for July IVF yet. I am due to start stims around 18Jul with estrogen priming starting the week before that. Collection will be the end of July all going well.
This will be my second IVF and I will be using ICSI. I will be 40 during treatment and 41 come collection. I have a child from my first IVF 3 years ago. Since then I had a chemical pregnancy Dec 2024 with my only other embryo from my 2022 cycle and a failed IUI in Feb this year.
I found the discussion board really helpful and supportive in my first IVF round as we all understand the crazy ups and downs of this rollercoaster. Wondering if there are any others with similar timing?

@Splishsplashsplosh93 I just read back and saw your last update!! How amazing was that to have the scan and it gives your some reassurance.

@DeeKel ouch that must have been very unpleasant! I hope you’ve had a good rest since.

@Allnew2021 that’s a huge disappointment- but on my first cycle I had the least mature eggs and the most blasts so it might still work out for you.

@Allnew2021 I had my egg collection a week ago. Got 5 eggs. 3 fertilised. 1immature. On Saturday I had a call to say there was one left.
Hope your 1 holds out! You only need one.

Im 3dp5dt today and usually im not a symptom spotter. I usually just go about my business and ignore everything as I get side effects from the progesterone BUT this morning at 9.20am I couldnt brush my teeth properly from heavy gagging. Tell me its in my head and its too early for symtoms of any sort. Could this be my implantation symptom? Im definitely imagining things surely? Whats everyones thoughts. Im going to continue to ignore everything and go about my business. But thought id ask if im definitely going crazy and im being a hypochondriac hahahaha

Hi @Miraclemuma03you never know! I choose to believe early ‘symptoms’ as it helps me to get into a positive mindset. This cycle, it’s been palpitations since day of transfer and I’ve been sick in my mouth a few times 😆 roll with it, as oasis would say!

I even had what felt like round ligament cramp on my left side today. And in the shower this arvo I had liquid come out of my right nipple but im assuming this is from the progesterone?

The sick in the mouth could be good signs lol

@Miraclemuma03 I has loads of symptoms prior to transfer/ egg collection- boobs are bigger and sore, had a weird taste in my mouth and food tasted awful.
Boobs are still big but taste has gone back to normal. I’m choosing to remain optimistic and trying to resist the urge to test.

I feel as though I’m in the opposite boat that all the symptoms I’m experiencing I just assume I am out! More pinky spotting today and I’ve been cramping pretty much since transfer day, just can’t imagine any of this is good news tbh!

Just got a message- 7 of the 11 eggs collected were mature and all 7 fertilised normally. Fingers crossed they keep going!

@StorkVisit and @RainbowFluff thank you for your reassurance. I had the call today. My 1 egg fertilised so we have a chance still - we have to wait for day 5 now to see if it makes it to blastocyst ready for PGTA testing. @StorkVisit I will keep my fingers crossed that your 1 continues to do well!

@DeeKel That's great news! I hope they all continue to develop well. Thank you for your kind words - I think it was so dissapointing this time as last cycle we only had 3 follicles developing so I didn't expect much but this time with 11 follicles developing in my scans I thought we would get a better result. I got the call this morning that the 1 mature egg ferilised so I am hoping it makes it to day 5.

@Splishsplashsplosh93 I was going to resist the urge to test but I just don’t think I’m that patient. I think I’ll aim to wait until 7 days at least.

We can’t believe our luck - we ended up with 4 blastocysts from this cycle. We were so demoralised at the beginning and it’s actually turned out much better than last cycle. So it really shows you cannot predict the result!
First cycle I had 15 eggs collected, 8 were mature, 5 fertilised and 2 made it to blastocyst. Second cycle 10 eggs, 9 were mature, 9 fertilised and 4 made it to blastocyst. Hope that provides some hope to others, you really can’t tell what will happen!

@Splishsplashsplosh93 yes we are doing PGT-A so will wait for the results before planning a transfer.

@DeeKel that is great news about the fertilised eggs. Keep growing little guys.

Yeah im ok. I know logically my symptoms are from progesterone im taking twice a day. Guess its just fun to think maybe im in for a shit of this working when new symptoms appear.. not that im looking for them but was just observations going about my day.

@Bloop123 when did the spotting begin? How many days past transfer are you now? Did the spotting start around 2 to 3 days after transfer?

That was suppose to say shot not shit.

@Allnew2021 we only had one in the running by day 3 and it had a lot of work to do, and still made it:) So there’s lots of hope, keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

@Miraclemuma03 the spotting started 2dp6dt and I had some pinky discharge/ more specks of blood yesterday, none of it’s really enough to be noticeable in my pants, just when wiping. I had a talking to myself yesterday and I’m going to try to stop catastrophising and doom googling haha

i think on Monday I’ll ring the clinic and ask for a progesterone test, as it may all be a piece of the puzzle xxx

@Bloop123 thats around when implantation begins so fingers xd for you that its a good sign, especially if its barely noticable now. Let me know if your clinic will do your test.

@Splishsplashsplosh93 did you have your transfer 14/07? Just saw you said yest you were 5+3 and that’s same as me :)
