July IVF/ICSI/FET

I didn’t see a thread for July IVF yet. I am due to start stims around 18Jul with estrogen priming starting the week before that. Collection will be the end of July all going well.
This will be my second IVF and I will be using ICSI. I will be 40 during treatment and 41 come collection. I have a child from my first IVF 3 years ago. Since then I had a chemical pregnancy Dec 2024 with my only other embryo from my 2022 cycle and a failed IUI in Feb this year.
I found the discussion board really helpful and supportive in my first IVF round as we all understand the crazy ups and downs of this rollercoaster. Wondering if there are any others with similar timing?

I AM OFFICIALLY PUPO!!!
I had transferred a 5bb embryo so fingers are xd. Unfortunately 1 wmbryo didnt survive to day 5 and one is being left for one more night to see if its good to freeze on day 6 tomorrow but il find out in the morning sometime.

I’m waiting to hear back from clinic but I think I will trigger tonight for collection Friday. My follicles sizes are 1x21, 1x19, 2x17, 1x16, 1x15, 3x13 and then 8 under 11mm. I’m hoping the 16 and 15 push on a little bit more for collection. Not sure about the 13s, they are probably too small to have a mature egg. Overall I’m crossing my fingers that I might get one or two mature (41 year old!) eggs but we will wait and see. Can’t wait to be finished the stims, I’ve really been struggling with fatigue the last day or two.

Hi everyone, I hope things are going well. I haven't contributed to the thread since joining - been really busy with the end of term then all the usual IVF stuff. I had a scan today and I am now waiting to hear back from the clinic about what time to trigger tonight - I can't remember the exact measurements but I have 11 follicles that are at the size they wanted. This is so much better than my last cycle where I only had 3 follicles at egg collection. It seems the changes in my medications etc... this time have been good.

This second half of my dual stim cycle feels like it’s going on forever! Back tomorrow for a blood test and maybe a scan, on my scan yesterday the follicles from my EC two weeks ago still hadn’t gone down so it seems that is holding everything up.

I had the call! My embryo made it to blast. We went across to the clinic this afternoon!
our clinic showed us our embryo on screen. Apparently we’ve got a FB12. The embryologist said it was excellent. More waiting and hoping!

My clinic didn’t do bloods. Just had one scan on day 9 and I got told to do a stimulation injection and trigger that night.
I’d be pleased they’re being taken thorough.

Congrats @StorkVisit !! What is FB12? Never heard of that before. Are you from outside the UK?

@PlanBFertility I am in the UK. I’d done research on the grading and was told FB12 I was puzzled. FB means full blast apparently 1 is the best quality and 3 is the worst but I was told our embryo is excellent.

@DeeKel thats great you get to trigger. Looks like plenty of great size follicles, so hopefully EC will be a great outcome.

@Allnew2021 did you get the call to trigger? Hope it went alright. My time zone is different so I might be a little early asking this.

@RainbowFluff whats the plan if the follicles dont go down? Have they turned to cysts? Is there a reason why they stay enlarged?

So some good news for me this morning. My last embryo has made it to freezer. Grading is a 4ab so im pretty happy with that.

@Miraclemuma03 that is fantastic and what a great grade frozen! How are you feeling? I hope you’ve been able to relax a little after transfer.
I’ve just taken a dual trigger (00:30 my time) so am off to bed now.

@DeeKel how exciting to finally get to this point.
After my transfer I had a couple of errands to run once I did the drive back to my local town, tidied up when I got home, sorted animals and then put my feet up for the rest of the afternoon. No rest today though, dropped the car off at the mechanics and had a few places to go, some shopping to get done and things I needed to pick up.

@Bloop123 yes! Transfer was today. I fell asleep on the sofa at 7:30pm but have been awake since 2:30. Hoping to get back to sleep soon 😴

We had a day 3 update from the lab yesterday. Of our 9 embryos, 7 were looking good, rated excellent or very good quality. One of those is the abnormally fertilised egg, so not sure what the chances are for that one. On Monday based on the stats for my age the expectation was to have 3 make blast. The embryologist said she wanted to manage my expectations so would now say we should hope for two blasts. It’s a bit confusing because we got 2 blasts from 5 fertilised last cycle, so to get 2 from 9 this time seems a bit deflating. Anyway, hoping she’s just being conservative.
Really need this week to be over asap!

@Miraclemuma03 the clinic don’t seem concerned so I haven’t thought too much about it! The follicles on my right ovary already went down so I suppose they think the left ones will follow suit. It’s only two weeks since my egg collection so I’m not sure how long it usually takes.

Congratulations on strong embryos and transfers all! I’m 7dp5dt today; how soon are people testing? Anyone on a similar timescale? OTD not til weds 6th!

@MotherOfShihTzus I think my period is due 9 day post transfer so I think (.if I can I’ll aim to wait 9 or 10 days post transfer but I have no idea what I’ll be able to manage)
