July IVF/ICSI/FET

I didn’t see a thread for July IVF yet. I am due to start stims around 18Jul with estrogen priming starting the week before that. Collection will be the end of July all going well.
This will be my second IVF and I will be using ICSI. I will be 40 during treatment and 41 come collection. I have a child from my first IVF 3 years ago. Since then I had a chemical pregnancy Dec 2024 with my only other embryo from my 2022 cycle and a failed IUI in Feb this year.
I found the discussion board really helpful and supportive in my first IVF round as we all understand the crazy ups and downs of this rollercoaster. Wondering if there are any others with similar timing?

@Bloop123 no not book my transfer for day 3. It is going to be on day 5. I already had a transfer time for 12.30pm for wednesday on day 5 but they were calling me to change the time to 11.30am on Wednesday. Sorry I must not have made sense..

Im sure your little one is going to make it. Its a fighter and has made it this far already. Im sending you some of my positive vibes and baby dust. Are you far from the clinic so when they ring you to say to go ahead with transfer, how soon would they be expecting you to get there?

@Pinguino24 oh wow!! That’s amazing news, so pleased for you! You must be over the moon, you have such a great chance of getting some good embryos now :)

@Miraclemuma03 I can imagine the heart sinking to the floor when you saw that number ring. Fingers crossed for Wednesday transfer now!
@Bloop123 that’s great news! I think sometimes they freeze the day 6 just to optimise the endometrial receptivity and hormones etc so maybe check with your clinic on that?
@Pinguino24 oh that’s fantastic! Such a rollercoaster of emotions but they are great numbers.

I had an unexpectedly good day 10 scan today. They were able to partially see the left ovary and count 5 follicles, they said there could be more but they were struggling to see it. Hopefully it drops down more and becomes accessible. They took bloods to check my hormone levels too given they can’t see if there is anything bigger on it.
On the left I have 1x16mm, 1x14mm and 3x10mm. The right ovary has done some work too, I now have 1x16mm, 1x13mm, 1x10mm, 1x9mm, 2x8mm and then 3 under 7mm. She said I have at least 4 looking good. I think I can discount anything under 10mm but hold out hope that maybe one or two of the 10 and above might continue to grow. They are keeping me on stims until Wednesday (day 12) when I have another scan and I think they will get me to trigger Wednesday night with collection Friday.

@DeeKel thats great news. I hope you walked away from that appointment with a little more ease and some stress taken off your shoulders.

Thank you all so much for the support. I felt so crap on Friday and went into the appt today preparing myself to cancel and go straight into another cycle. Throughout our thread alone, we have all had ups and downs and hold our breath moments so it just goes to show we have very little control over any of this and it’s mostly just a game of luck 🍀

Gone another day with no news from the clinic which is suppose to mean good news. Im starting to feel a little more confident for a transfer tomorrow moring. Thankfully I have been staying pretty busy so far so iv barely had two thoughts about it. Im also pretty busy after transfer for the rest of the week and over the weekend so hopefully that will keep men from over thinking everything every 5 minutes.

@Bloop123 how did your little embryo go today? Was today day 6? Really hoping you had more good news today.

Oh my goodness, just had the call. our little embryo has turned into a blast and we’re transferring at 3pm today ❤️❤️ I just can’t believe it, so many happy tears. She said the quality is “fair”, which I couldn’t care less about at this point!

I also asked about concerns re transferring on day 6, she said they do it successfully all the time and wasn’t worried at all, apparently the embryo development tends to marry up with your lining 🤷‍♀️

@Bloop123 so happy for you! That’s great news. It really does just take one!
I’ve read about people who have excellent quality and not get pregnant so I really wouldn’t worry either! Good happy thoughts all the way!

@Bloop123 that’s fantastic news!!! So happy for you and I wouldn’t worry about grading- it’s just beauty contest and depends on who’s judging too! Once that little embryo made it to blast is all that matters. Hopefully transfer went well and congrats you have a little embaby on board.
@Miraclemuma03 no news is good news but the waiting around not knowing is hard, definitely good to keep busy. Will be crossing my fingers for you for tomorrow.

Congrats to everyone with hopeful news! I’m trying to stay away while waiting for our PGT-A results so I don’t go completely bonkers, but lovely to see some good news.
