July IVF/ICSI/FET

I didn’t see a thread for July IVF yet. I am due to start stims around 18Jul with estrogen priming starting the week before that. Collection will be the end of July all going well.
This will be my second IVF and I will be using ICSI. I will be 40 during treatment and 41 come collection. I have a child from my first IVF 3 years ago. Since then I had a chemical pregnancy Dec 2024 with my only other embryo from my 2022 cycle and a failed IUI in Feb this year.
I found the discussion board really helpful and supportive in my first IVF round as we all understand the crazy ups and downs of this rollercoaster. Wondering if there are any others with similar timing?

@PlanBFertility ohhh that's absolutely fantastic!!! What a wonderful update and more positive news to spur the thread on.

Miraclemuma03 · 12/07/2025 11:59

I starts stims at 4am tomorrow morning and today I am second guessing myself and being negative about my chances of being able to just bring one more baby home. Im in a funk and April's failure is very quickly taking over my head space.

Timetotryagain · 12/07/2025 12:50

@ALittleExpressive are you testing tomorrow??

@Miraclemuma03 good luck for stims starting. A new cycle and a whole new chamce but i totslly understand your aprehension after April 💕

Wow thats an incredible amount on day 3! Fingers crossed for day 5 @Splishsplashsplosh93

RainbowFluff · 12/07/2025 19:17

It’s amazing to see all this good news, what a lovely read at the end of a long day. I’ve got to the point where I need to stay at the clinic until my blood test results come back so it was a loooong day, 7:50 until 2:30. Yawn!

@RainbowFluff in feel your pain. A routine trip to my clinic was a 7hr round trip 😂😂 Bit of a killer as was having scans and bloods every 2 days.

RainbowFluff · 12/07/2025 20:41

@Splishsplashsplosh93 i should be fine, I had it mildly when I got pregnant but this is a freeze all cycle. It’s their method to do a daily blood test to check hormone levels so you have to wait around for the results. My previous clinic triggered on day 10 usually which would be Monday so hopefully I’m nearly there!

@PlanBFertility ouch that is a big commitment! Mine is around an hour door to door so it’s quite manageable

4am this morning I had my first injection, so we are well on our way now. But today all the negativity is trying to take over. April's cycle keeps running around in my head and keep thinking to myself I must be wasting my time.

Timetotryagain · 13/07/2025 06:04

Well done for getting through first injection 💕 @Miraclemuma03

PlanBFertility · 13/07/2025 08:20

Morning all.
did another test this morning and line is lighter than yesterday so already panicking it’s over before it began. Sent OH to get another clear blue as that was much clearer than the easy@home ones. Can’t stop crying. When does this torture end!!?

magpie234 · 13/07/2025 08:26

@PlanBFertility Oh PlanB… how stressful. Hopefully the Clear Blue test will reassure you.

This happened to me with my first succesful pregnancy 10dpo strong line, 11dpo fainter line. I felt so defeated. For me fmu is not the strongest and i usually get better lines with smu or something. Maybe thats the same for you! @PlanBFertility

PlanBFertility · 13/07/2025 09:11

Thanks both. Did another with smu and absolutely fine, as well as clear blue 🤦🏼‍♀️ Panic over. For today 😂

DeeKel · 13/07/2025 10:10

@Bloop123 and @Miraclemuma03 best of luck with the cycle. I think you both started your stims yesterday/today - hoping for lots of healthy eggs for you both.
@PlanBFertility Woowho!!! So delighted for you. Also SMU use to be the best one to test with for me too.
@Splishsplashsplosh93 that’s great numbers and grades, fingers crossed for good news tomorrow and for a positive transfer.

Oh good!! @PlanBFertility 💕

Hope today went well @ALittleExpressive

Hows everyone else doing with keeping their meds cool on this heat? My pessarie was almost melted yesterday

Hopeandfaith1990 · 13/07/2025 20:22

Hi all, new to the thread but I've been on the June one. I'm doing a FET with transfer being early August so I thought I'd join this one too. I just started Buserelin today and am off to Spain tomorrow for a week - anyone had any issues flying with needles/medications?! I'm going to keep everything in my hand luggage as I'm too paranoid of it going missing. I've got a note from my clinic which is reassuring I just don't want to have any issues going through security. I'm sure it'll be fine but I'm obviously overthinking it.

Congrats to all with positives and with positive EC results! I'm definitely learning the art of patience on this journey (or trying to anyway).

Has anyone taken Progynova before? I start that in 2 weeks and the side effects don't sound fun!!

Lots of love and luck to all xxx

im just about to start IVF (ICSI). Pretty nervous about it. My Mum is really poorly so I’m crossing my fingers Mum will be ok. I haven’t had much time to worry about IVF as I’ve been so worried about my Mum.
My meds arrived on the 4th July and my period arrived today.
I can phone the clinic in the morning to find out when I start the stims. Nerve wracking. Also feel excited!

DeeKel · 13/07/2025 22:11

@StorkVisit welcome! I completely get the anxiety about your mum. My mother is battling stage 4 cancer at present and my dad is sick in hospital and not long off life support. I would imagine everyone thinks this is the worst possible time for me to do this but I’ve not really any other time to wait as I’m 41.
I think with ill parents it kind of distracts your mind more but I’m sure we could do without that particular type of distraction.
Sending good health wishes for your mum and the best of luck with your cycle. It is an exciting time for you so take some deep breaths on the harder days and keep holding to those positive thoughts that your cycle will go well.
