Hi All!

I might be early to it here, but thought I'd start a threat for anyone who knows they'll be going through it in June this year!

I'm based near Sheffield, and will be going through the treatment in sheffield. I'm 36, will turn 37 during the treatment. We've been through one failed round last August, so we've spent the time since getting further private checks done, and now we're ready for the next round. We came back as 'normal' on the nhs tests, but we found other things with these private tests! We've had all of our follow ups, catch up consultation appointments. Next appointment is our nurse appointment on the 5th May, then after that it's waiting for my next cycle to start at the very end of May / beginning of June.

From the further tests we've had done, I'm now on thyroid medication to bring my thyroid down to fertility recommended levels, my partner had DNA Frag & Oxidative Stress tests done and we've made improvements based on the results of these. I've also been having some acupuncture, which I've also feel has helped my sanity!

Please share your stories and hopefully we can all support each other during this. I'm much more nervous this time, even though I know we're better set up than we were last time.

@Rayofsunshine22 aww I’m sorry to hear you’re feeling that way, but no signs doesn’t mean no pregnancy, maybe just means you’re one of the lucky ones who doesn’t get all the cramping! I had a terribly upset for stomach for 3 days, was in agony, so I think I’ve messed it up this time with all the pressure I’ve probably put on my uterus with being unwell 😢 other than that I’ve had constant mild cramps so no idea what’s going on in there.
Yes, my official test day is Sunday, seems like a lifetime away!

Every twinge and pain I wonder what's going on. I just feel like my period will arrive any day now. Praying I'm wrong. Although I don't know what's worse, period or a negative test on test day.
Fingers crossed for you 🙏🏻 they told me Monday AM so I'll do as I'm told although I'm sure there would be no difference if I tested Sunday too. It's all I can think about.

Fingers crossed for all of you in the TWW! You are very strong! TBH I have always tested before the test date from the clinic, it’s too hard to wait!

I got some good and bad news today.

The good news is that the only embryo from our previous cycle is euploid, it’s such a relief.
The bad news is that the embryo from our last cycle didn’t make it to expanded blastocyst and stopped growing.

I am of course relieved that we have one euploid but am very disappointed that we only have one from 2 cycles. I know the stats says 3 euploids for 1 child, I was really hoping I would manage to have 3 but this now seems less and less realistic. After 2 MMC, I don‘t believe in the “it only takes one” for me, so I really wanted to bank embryos to give me the best chance, but I can’t afford an infinite number of cycles and I am already at my fourth.

Im happy to read the good news but also feel your upset with not having more embryos banked.

Thank you!! Has the result always been accurate? What I don't want is a positive and then a negative i'll find it so much harder to deal with.
In all my TTC years I've never tested - always waited for a period that always arrived in the end.

YellowTack · 07/07/2025 11:08

@Rayofsunshine22 if you can wait until the test date it’s of course better but I know it is sometimes impossible to wait.
If you test really early, there is always a risk that a positive could be due to the trigger, but if you test from 9dp5dt (9 days post day 5 transfer), it should be quite accurate.
Of course there is also the risk to have an early positive that ends up in a chemical but at least for me it’s information that I prefer to know.

Yeah I agree with all of that. I'm currently day 7 ... Curiosity may get the better of me this week but I will try not to.

Hopeandfaith1990 · 09/07/2025 14:22

Good luck to all testing soon @Rayofsunshine22 @KayEmmSquared et al!

@YellowTack I'm sorry to hear you've had some bad news and yay for the good. I also find the 'it only takes one' rhetoric difficult. I know it can be true but its so hard to trust that when you've been burned in the past.

@Limmers14 I know what you mean, I've had two of my losses genetically tested and both were normal. I have high NK cells and have treatment for that but I'm also paranoid something else is going on. I'm going to go for every 'add on' I can I think, the glue, scratch etc.

Anyone else doing a frozen transfer and have their timeline or plan yet? I start Buserelin on Sunday! Sending love to all.

YellowTack · 09/07/2025 18:04

I am still waiting for my periods to come. For those who have done freeze-all cycles, how long after EC did your periods show up?

RainbowFluff · 09/07/2025 18:36

@YellowTack for me (I didn’t freeze all but no embryos survived!) it depended on the trigger. With ovitrelle my period came pretty much the same day it would have come naturally, my cycles are normally super regular. With buserelin I was almost two weeks late, they said it happens sometimes and there is additional medication to reverse it but luckily it came by itself eventually.

HelloPippa0 · 09/07/2025 18:44

@YellowTack mine took over two weeks after Bureselin trigger, feels like the actual transfer is still ages away

Gosia19 · 09/07/2025 21:15

Hope everyone is keeping well! We’ve had the results of our tests - we have three embryos that are euploid and don’t carry the genetic marker for an inherited condition.

It’s looking like our transfer will be in September but I’m so confused about the medication you take before and after, I need to chat to my clinic.

Hello! Great news re your genetic results 💖

im taking Buserelin injections once daily for two weeks then Progynova and then start progesterone and my immune protocol 5 days before transfer.

have your clinic given you a protocol? I found it so hard to find info out before my appointment!

Do you mean the withdraw bleed after EC or your period after that?

YellowTack · 09/07/2025 23:16

@CloudyIvy55 yes the withdrawal bleed

CloudyIvy55 · 09/07/2025 23:19

I had buserelin as a trigger and had my withdrawal bleed about five days after EC. How long have you been waiting?

Hopeandfaith1990 · 10/07/2025 08:58

YellowTack · 09/07/2025 23:16

@CloudyIvy55 yes the withdrawal bleed

Mine took 11-12 days (if counting a bit of spotting) @YellowTack

YellowTack · 10/07/2025 15:08

Good to know, thank you. It been 10 days and nothing so far!

Rayofsunshine22 · 11/07/2025 07:05

I'm absolutely gutted - my period has arrived this morning. Didn't even make it to test day 😔
@KayEmmSquared keeping everything crossed for you are you feeling okay?

Miraclemuma03 · 11/07/2025 08:24

@Rayofsunshine22 oh shit!!!! That is horrible. Im so sorry. Is it full flow or spotting

RainbowFluff · 11/07/2025 09:00

@Rayofsunshine22 sorry to hear this, what a crappy outcome for you :(

Oh no I’m so sorry :( have you tested? Is there a chance it could be implantation? Thinking of you x

KayEmmSquared · 11/07/2025 11:00

@Rayofsunshine22 I’m absolutely gutted for you. So sorry to read this! Have you taken a test? Any chance it could just be a little spotting? Definitely still test on Monday and see what it says, I’ll keep everything crossed for you!!
I've been really crampy the whole two week wait and I just don’t know what to think! Scared to test in case it’s negative 😕

YellowTack · 11/07/2025 11:52

@Rayofsunshine22 really sorry to read this

Rayofsunshine22 · 11/07/2025 12:26

It's not full flow yet .... It's more brown discharge with some red in too. Just for my own sanity I will do a test just to rule out but I think I'm out :( absolutely gutted.
Really appreciate your messages girls.
Keeping on souch hope for you @KayEmmSquared I think if you're still in you're very much still in with a chance xxx
