Hi All!

I might be early to it here, but thought I'd start a threat for anyone who knows they'll be going through it in June this year!

I'm based near Sheffield, and will be going through the treatment in sheffield. I'm 36, will turn 37 during the treatment. We've been through one failed round last August, so we've spent the time since getting further private checks done, and now we're ready for the next round. We came back as 'normal' on the nhs tests, but we found other things with these private tests! We've had all of our follow ups, catch up consultation appointments. Next appointment is our nurse appointment on the 5th May, then after that it's waiting for my next cycle to start at the very end of May / beginning of June.

From the further tests we've had done, I'm now on thyroid medication to bring my thyroid down to fertility recommended levels, my partner had DNA Frag & Oxidative Stress tests done and we've made improvements based on the results of these. I've also been having some acupuncture, which I've also feel has helped my sanity!

Please share your stories and hopefully we can all support each other during this. I'm much more nervous this time, even though I know we're better set up than we were last time.

Welcome @SharpBlueLemur! I’ve had some acupuncture. I do find it relaxes me and helps with the stress but I’m not sure it does all its purported too. It’s expensive where I am too, £70 a session! You could try a session and see what you think?

@cakeislife1234 ahh that’s so hard! You’re right, it’s the blastocysts you’re mainly concerned about but it’d be interesting to know for your own records what made it to Day 3 and then to Day 5. I’m sure you could ask as they will have a record right?

@StillTrying10000 is your clinic different to where you’re having your transfer? Have the clinic said what the optimal lining is? I think it’s also dependent on hormone levels. I’d take their advice, they have your best interests at heart

@Limmers14 thanks for your reply. Yes my care is spilt between two clinics. Scans at my local clinic who have said lining too thick, but transfer at Kings in London who have said it’s fine for transfer. Kings should be the experts but I feel so unnerved after my local one said it would definitely be a waste of an embryo. Neither have mentioned any blood hormone tests. Eh, I feel so confused..

Id say nothing over 15 to 20kg. I carry 20kg bags of animal feed around, I continue to do this during my 2ww and pregnancy, but this is my normal and i would not carry anything heavier. Id say if your not use to carrying this sort of load then nothing over 10kg. You can carry on with your normal day to day activities if its something you do normal in your routine. Obviously no excessive lifting or anything you have to strain to lift.

Period started yesterday so first injection tonight, already nervous. This is going to be the slowest day I'm sure!

My lining can reach to 14/15mm most cycles and iv never been told its too thick and have had 3 successful transfers with lining this thick. The only issue I find is my period is heavier and more painful. I dont know what the cut off is but I would think a nice thick lining would be better. I would talk to the clinic doing your transfer and tell them of your concerns. Each clinic has different cut offs for each thing which makes it all confusing. My last cycle my uterus only got to 11/12mm and I was told its borderline for me so that was confusing as iv heard a lot of clinic will do a transfer if the lining reaches 8mm.

Triggered last night and egg collection booked for first thing tomorrow morning. 🥳

I am now waiting for my period to come after EC, and then I will be going straight into another cycle so I will be in the June thread for a while, it’s even possible that I will have my second EC still in June depending on when my period shows up.

Has anyone used Pergoveris? That is what I will use for my next cycle and I have never used it before.

@Limmers14I reckon they would tell me tomorrow anyway when I’m there for the (hopeful) transfer. Apparently they will give me a time lapse of the fertilisation and development of any successful ones anyway, I’m not actually sure exactly what happens at this stage I’ve been so focused on the meds and the egg collection so far I’ve not actually thought about the fact that this time tomorrow I could be PUPO! Haha xx

I've just done my first injection, just got straight on with it and feeling quite proud of myself!

@cakeislife1234 that’s amazing! Hope it all goes well. Gosh it really can go quickly once you start. I really like the PUPO acronym 😂

@anna6186 there are so many things to consider. A good number is different for every woman depending on age, other health issues, the protocol you’re on etc. The number of follicles you have should give you an indication.

A little update on my end: We’ve got to schedule our follow up call with the consultant soon, I’m still waiting on my withdrawal bleed too. I’m not sure if I can start FET medication then or need to wait for another period. Either way, it’ll be 2-3 weeks until we know the result of the 5 embryos we’ve sent for PGTA. We also froze 9 Day 5 embryos so we’re feeling happy even if there is a delay. I’ve been suffering with OHSS in the past week though. Extreme bloating and had to go to the GP today to have my lungs checked as I’m so short of breath! Hopefully it al goes away once my period comes!

@KayEmmSquared how are you doing? I just keep wishing this week away & want this period to arrive to I can get on with starting the process! It will be a longggg week. Have your clinic got you booked in for anything before or do they just want you to call them once period arrives? Mine just want a call. I don't have any scan dates yet.

Hi everyone, sorry im just catching up! I went for my day 10 scan yesterday and I've been booked in for egg collection tomorrow!! So I took my trigger shot last night eek!
