Anyone starting next month? I'll be on my 4th cycle. I've just bought 2 cycles with manchester fertility and it will be me done. I'm 36, have a low amh of 5.2 and afc 10. I'm doing the estrogen priming protocol so will take estrogen tablets for 7 days starting from day 21. I then take 450 meriofert. I'm not sure whether I am excited or nervous. It has been a year since my last cycle and I'm going to struggle with another loss but wanted to get started again also. No children yet and over 3 years trying. Have blocked tubes and endo xx

I just got my period today (2 days early) but haven't started stims yet. My scan is tomorrow and then that was hopefully when they would give go ahead to start stims.

I hope I haven't messed things up by bleeding too early. I thought I was meant to start stims on day 1 but I've obviously missed that now.... clinic is now shut so I can't call. I guess if I am going there first thing tomorrow then half a day won't male a difference?

Are you all on long or short protocol?

@OneWaryCat the exact reason I’ve told nobody but my sisters this time .. after 7 fails to get to day 1 I just found it too draining having to update people !! This process is tough enough !! Quite glad we are in our bubble and not many know

I told my mum in freezing all so she’s zero expectations lol she does not understand the process at all anyway ! Thank god lol 😂

The galinerix is not a vibe .. doing it in the leg makes me cringe and I’m now covered in hives lol 😂 feeling real sexy lol 😂 the numb mouth and hives combo ! Paracetamol, soup & Netflix for me

@OneWaryCat I was told that with the long protocol they don’t have to time things in line with your cycle so I’m sure it will be fine. I’ve been on the down regulation drugs for three weeks but I just had to start on a set date they’d given me rather than it being a particular day of my cycle so it was pot luck that I just happen to be in the middle of mine. Maybe give them a call in the morning to set your mind at rest?

@Geordienewbie Yes that is ringing bells now, thanks for the reassurance. I'm on the same nose spray as you, synarel. It's been totally fine, no side effects. Only been on it for 2 weeks. Interested to find out what is next tomorrow and when we start stims. I had hoped period might be lighter and less painful but it's being pretty full right now.

@OneWaryCat the clinic told me my period might be a bit heavier than usual and it was on the first day but nothing dramatic. Hopefully it will ease off for you. I haven’t really had any side effects yet either 🤞

Just been for my second monitoring scan, have stimmed for 7 days now.

I had 7 follicles today. Five on the right (14, 10, 9, 9, 7) and two on the left (5, 5).

Scan again on Friday, possible egg collection on Monday, but we’ll see on Fridays scan for sure.

I’ve just had my second scan too, day 9. She said i have around 20 follicles but that 8 follicles are looking good and 1 small one, so I guess the rest just haven’t responded/grown? Will call me later to let me know whether egg collection is on Friday or Monday 😬

@OpalMaker that’s great, and they’ll be able to grow nicely until your collection. Did they want you to adjust any medication? Mine has been never been adjusted in previous rounds.

i also wonders this, I’ve had a similar experience in the past but didn’t ask. Had x amount of follicles but only a certain number were the right size. I wonder if they are too small to catchup or had not grown at all.

How are you both feeling?

I'm good, on day 4 today and first scan is on Friday. Have no idea what to expect in terms of numbers 😅 hopefully we will have a good few as we need as many as we can get with it low fertilisation rate.

I’m still not feeling bloated or tender at all so I hope the meds are going to kick in soon and that this dosage is working for me. We shall see on Friday I guess 🙏

@FrostedFlake I'm doing okay thank you. Did my 3rd injection last night, poked the needle in then realised I hadn't twisted the pen to the right dosage! Still getting used to it all 😅

how are you? Have you felt any cramps or twinges with the stims? Not sure if it's in my head or if I can feel my ovaries at times but surely it's a bit early on day 3 of stims for there to be much action happening?

@Rebekah77 aww I completely understand feeling anxious about the numbers but stay positive, you've got this! Are you triggering tonight for your collection on Friday?

I don't have my first scan until Monday which will be after the 8th stims injection so not sure what to expect.. part of me thinks they'll do the scan and there'll be nothing there 😳

Typing this at work and someone has literally just walked over and told me they're expecting and due in 3 months! Seems like baby season has started already for everyone but me 💔 hope everyone is doing okay xx

Yeah today she could see more on my left but it’s if they can reach it safely without puncturing bowel

I was in a lot of pain sat 2-6 the worst but it’s calmed down @Ttcforeverandever have paracetamol, rest and move slow

Hi everyone, hope you're all okay! I'm starting my injections today at 8pm argh. I'm taking Meriofert. I was fine yesterday but feel like I'm really spiralling today thinking of all the negatives and have a bit of health anxiety. Did anyone else feel like this? Also are any of you starting stims today?

@Rebekah77 hopefully it'll go well and they'll be able to reach all the follicles safely! Get lots of rest over the weekend once the collection is done x

@emeraldhope I go through all the emotions everyday it feels like, so you're not alone in that at all! I have really bad health anxiety too but honestly I'm on day 3 of stims and feel completely fine, aside from very light cramping I've not noticed anything different so please try not to stress too much! Is it your first cycle? X

No adjustments to medication, consultant seemed happy with everything. My endometrium was 7mm and tri-laminar so I think he said he was happy with the amount of oestrogen my follicles were producing, not sure if that’s relevant.

I think I’m already on a high dose of Ovaleap/follitropin - I have 300 i/u each night, but genuinely no idea.

He said that although my Lt ovary has 2x 5mm follicles, it didn’t look to be doing a great deal - and depending on the growth of those, and the difficulty we’ll have accessing it - if he might decide to abandon those if we’ve got five decent ones on the RT by Friday/Monday.

I’ve got a real bad habit of over-researching things, thinking if I know everything I can somehow control the outcome, but all that seems to have achieved so far is stress me out and steal any last bit of hope and magic from everything, so I’ve really done my best during this cycle to stay as ignorant as possible and just take each day as it comes.

@emeraldhope I’ve just had the green light to start stims from tomorrow morning and I’m also feeling a bit overwhelmed and like I’ve forgotten everything the nurse told me already! I think I’ll be fine after the first one but it’s still scary. We’ve got this though!

Does anyone have any tips for the first injection? I’m not scared of needles or pain but I think it’s going to be a case of getting over the mental block of physically injecting myself.

Hey everyone, had egg collection this morning and it went really well, the sedation was dreamy, was a bit annoyed when they woke me up haha 😊thanks for all your kind words.
@Geordienewbie my top tip was getting someone else to inject or doing it in the mirror standing up with your weight baring on the opposite side you are injecting.
