Anyone starting next month? I'll be on my 4th cycle. I've just bought 2 cycles with manchester fertility and it will be me done. I'm 36, have a low amh of 5.2 and afc 10. I'm doing the estrogen priming protocol so will take estrogen tablets for 7 days starting from day 21. I then take 450 meriofert. I'm not sure whether I am excited or nervous. It has been a year since my last cycle and I'm going to struggle with another loss but wanted to get started again also. No children yet and over 3 years trying. Have blocked tubes and endo xx

@Chickenqueen yay, glad you found it ok! Did they tell you straight after anything about the eggs they collected or do you have to wait to hear?

clinic confirmed my egg collection is Friday morning, so got to do one last stim injection now and then the trigger in a bit. Feeling nervous but also happy to get it done 😬

@jenk91 yes the lovely doc came in not long after to tell me, I got 17 in the end which was more than my last scan count of 11.
@Rebekah77 ive already had a kfc today and a load of cream pastries 😂😂😂

Well done everyone. Sounds like there were some positive steps forward for many today.

My scan was good. They said want me to continue on down regulation for another week and then come back in for another scan and then probably start stims. They said there were two slightly dodgy folicles and they are hoping that they won't be there next week when we start stims, but they said it doesn't really matter if they are. One is apparently ruptured and from my most recent ovulation.

How many days of stims did everyone do? I have my first scan on the morning of day 9 stims so just wondering how likely it is I'll have to do more days x

I’ve done 10 days exactly as planned and had 3 scans in that time

Thanks everyone! I did my first injection last night, well my DH did it for me in the end. I did cry before it and then felt quite silly afterwards because I didn't feel a thing! I think I'll be fine from now on fingers crossed. It was the prep that made me super anxious I wish they were preloaded with the solution.

@Ttcforeverandever thank you, yes this is my first ever cycle! It's horrible having health anxiety isn't it. I just keep trying to remind myself how many people go through IVF everyday and how ridiculous some of my thoughts are! X

@Rebekah77 @jenk91 do your clinics do more scans as standard? Mine didn't mention any scans until day 9.. I'm so scared of going in for the scan and there being nothing there 😳 x

@emeraldhope well done! First one was hardest for me too, after that it's a breeze. Yes it's so difficult not spiralling and I find it really difficult to take medication on a normal day so ivf has been a big challenge mentally taking so much in a short space of time. Hopefully it'll all be worth it very soon! X

@emeraldhope I just did my first injection and I was the same as you, a couple of tears and false starts but eventually did it and it was absolutely fine.

@OneWaryCat glad your scan went well too. I think you said you’d been on down regulation for 2 weeks so another week sounds right (I did 3 weeks of it anyway 😊)

Hi all, just a warning for not good news :(

Had a call from the embryologist this morning and unfortunately it doesn't look like any of the eggs fertilised well, 11 out of my 17 were mature and from that there is one that looks ok and 4 embroys that have an abnormal number of chromosomes, unlikely there will be anything good by day 3 but they are monitoring. She said it suggested an egg quality issue but this was quite unexpected.
This is my first round so I wasn't expecting much but still quite gutting to hear.

@Ttcforeverandever if it helps - I’ve only got one scan on day 8, so very similar to you. According to the schedule I’ve been given I’ll then have another 4 days of stims until collection but I guess it will depend on what they see on day 8.

@Ttcforeverandever standard for ours but I notice private tends to be much more scans than nhs typically

@Ttcforeverandever i had 3 scans booked for day 7, 9 and 11 but only have the first 2. Im NHS, but this is my first cycle so I have no clue about anything 🙃

@Rebekah77 thank you lovely, I just want to know what's happening inside cos it suddenly feels like nothing is?! I started feeling very bloated last night but it seems to have calmed down today. How are you feeling about your collection tomorrow? Fingers crossed they can get to all the follicles easily! X

@jenk91 3 scans sounds good, I'm sure its nice to keep an eye on what's going on :) I'm also a first timer so no clue what's standard and what isn't lol, what day of stims are you on? X
