I have had an IVF round in November and had a freeze all cycle. I have had a meeting with the consultant this morning and will be doing a FET in late December/early Jan.

Hello everyone, I hope you don’t mind me joining? I’m 40 (still feels weird to say that!) & have 2 embryos in the freezer following a cycle last year. In the past we’ve transferred two other Frosties but they haven’t stuck so going fully medicated this time. I also had a fresh transfer that worked but ended in a MMC.

It feels weird to say but since taking oestrogen I feel so good mentally! Really strong! Physically I’m super bloated and knackered at 8 but it’s ok.

Scan booked for Friday and I imagine a transfer will be booked for the following week, all being well. Good luck everyone!

Welcome @TheseCalmSeas glad the oestrogen is being kind to you! Mine has given me crazy vivid dreams. My poor DH is in the dog house for something he did in my dream 😂 lightheartedly obviously, I know he did nothing wrong

Welcome @TheseCalmSeas i had my scan yesterday and transfer next Friday so we will be in tww togerher 👏🏻 I had a freeze all cycle in November so am impatiently waiting transfer 😂 I was fine on oestrogen until they did my BP yesterday and it’s shot up! Hoping it’s the coffee I had beforehand ☕️

firstly good luck to everyone & hope to see lots of BFP's, Not sure if i fit into this thread but we have satelite clinic consents tomoz & far as im aware we can request treatemt for FET when AF arrives which should be 27th/29th, Had a successful FET back in 2021 which resulted in my special DD, She was born with congenital limb differences (hand&feet) we have 1 blastocyst & paying this time, Praying we can give DD a sibling, Not sure if we will be able to (financially) try again :( unfortunatly we get 1 round with the area we live in, I remind myself it only takes 1!
so sorry for those who have not had the results that iknow all too well have dreamed of sending love & hope x

any other transfers this week?

I'm feeling a bit mad today - still 2 days to go until OTD. I'm feeling crampy, I've a headache for 2 days and lots of tears. has anyone been on the progesterone + oestrogen mix before, and felt the same?

this is my first FET, so I haven't had oestrogen before, and only 2 x pessaries on the fresh transfer, so these side effects are real!

I had my scan at the clinic today. I've got a slight issue in that my body is doing as it likes (CD8 by their reckoning but AF did start at 7pm the night before, but I know that's how they count it). But body showing signs it might ovulate today. If it does its too early as they can't transfer Sunday. I've got to go for a progesterone blood test tomorrow morning. If there's none then that's fine and transfer will be Monday. If there is then we've missed it. And I'll have to wait until next cycle.

I only transferred yesterday so that would make me day 1 post transfer? My partner was being a royal prick yesterday and honestly all the positive thoughts and good feelings just vanished when got home. Today I've been part emotional part trying to be positive. I cant remember how I felt my last FET I think I got ill straight after transfer mouth ulcers and cold sores (used to have them very badly as a child but hadn't had one for a long time until that transfer which was odd) the tww is just the most peculiar stage to be. A limbo of sorts.

Hi, may I join this thread? My period is due to start in a couple of days, and we'll be doing a FET in my next cycle, which is also my first transfer! We did an ivf round with icsi, in Oct/Nov, but we had to freeze the embryos due to ohss risk.

I will be doing a modified natural cycle, taking letrozole for a few days early in my cycle, and progesterone pessaries later on. My cycles tend to be on the longer side, so I think the transfer date might end up being early February

Hello to all the newbies in here. Hope you're all ok?

I'm currently on oestrogen waiting for my scan on Friday to see if I'm ready for transfer next week. Feeling very nervous this time after to failed FET however very fortunate to have DD from a fresh cycle 8 years ago. I think OTD will be around DD 8th birthday which isn't ideal. How's everyone found oestrogen? I'm very fatigued and wake up feeling very strange in a morning.

@cleggrickman You’re on a similar timeline to me and I’ve just been saying to my husband about feeling a bit odd. I am sleeping alot but I thought maybe that’s because of work/cold/January. My scan is on Thursday.

What's he doing? Men can be such idiots. 🙄 It's like out of sight, out of mind with it.

@Waitingformystork welcome! I am also transferring a FET from OHSS risk freeze all. I am medicated and transfer is next Friday all being well 🤞

@Sherr33 this journey really is a rollercoaster,I go from being irritated and impatient to being grateful to have got this far 🤣

@cleggrickman i had my scan yesterday and not transferring until next Friday due to how busy the clinic is after Christmas. I wouldn’t stress about the dates as you may be on a diff date to the one you think it will be due to the Christmas closures? I am with you on the odd mood, I’m finding it very hard not knowing what’s going to happen and being unable to forward plan.

@cleggrickman I'm feeling the fatigue too!! This paired with working 14 hour days in an intense job and parenting my toddler is tough!! I've also got crazy thirst, headaches and really vivid dreams. Looking forward to some progesterone to even it out a bit soon!

@SlinkMcSlink I'm so glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. It's strange to describe how I feel just off. I don't think the gloomyness of January helps either!

@Cosyseason1234 I've seen clinics are a little behind than provisional dates that were given. It's so difficult to try and have any rough time frames in this because something comes along and scuppers it.

@Mseddy it's so strange isn't it. Like yourself i'm looking forward to balancing out the hormones with progesterone soon then I'll have all the symptoms of that medication 🫠 do you know roughly when you can start progesterone?

It's on my plan to start the day of my day 12 scan. I'm day 6 today so a few days yet!!

My scan is due on 20th January. I ve been taking oeastradiol tablets since my period started, no side effects so far.

God I forgot about all the EWCM with taking the estrogen. Hope it's not just me 🤣 but this happened me last time aswell!

Heading out to sign satelite clinics consents and my god dont know why im so nervous!I dont remember being this anxious but i literally have 1 egg in the basket, My brains deffinatly overthinking if the meds work?if the lining gets to the right thickness?if the embryo thaws & is suitable for transfer!Good luck everyone & hope the not so nice symptoms subside for those that are in treatment. If you dont mind answering is anyone with st marys in Manchester?my treatment is with them but transfer is with Manchester Fertility due to health reasons

I had that! Now it's all gas thanks to progesterone!

Good luck! I think that's all of us at each step of the way. Always something to over think and worry about. But that's what makes us stronger!💓

Thank you x oh it really is never ending but agreed it certainly makes you think wow we are troopers!💪🏼 7 years with fertility struggles before i had my DD (icsi) still not use to the preg announcements, Awful to say but still stings...here we gooo x
